yep, downloaded it last night. and practically everyone on my friends list was whoring it up on super stardust hd. i downloaded the demo ages ago and one of my friends keeps insisting i play it. it just doesn't seem like my kind of game.
the worst thing is the retroactive trophies. some companies (criterion and a few others) are claiming that they will be able to use your old save to grant trophies, but sony is saying otherwise. i wonder who is telling the truth. it almost makes me not want to play ps3 games anymore if i'm going to have to replay them to get trophies. i'm not worried too much about it, but some games i only want to play once. i wonder how long it will take for each developer to release an update that has trophies? sony is saying all games that came out prior to the firmware update will be getting trophy support, but there's no confirmed date.

Sony meant that it won't automatically get the trophies you earned itself. The developers have to patch it to be retroactive themselves.

A small amount of people had problems with it freezing during or right after the update so they took it down. If yours installed and your XMB came up with out problems, you should be find though. There haven't been any reports of freezing after a successful install.

It went down before I could get to it. So I didn't get it.

yeah, and then v2.41 is supposedly next week. i haven't had any problems with my install. i'm quite happy with it. and i guess that makes sense about the retroactive trophies, but the way sony worded it, it sounded like it wasn't a possibility. [link]

Well looky here. The problem has been blown WAY out of proportion. Seems very few people have this problem...and the few who do probably have a small percentage of defective PS3s. I wouldn't be surprised if 360 fanboys tried to blow this thing up.

Solus Canis Lupus Well looky here. The problem has been blown WAY out of proportion. Seems very few people have this problem...and the few who do probably have a small percentage of defective PS3s. I wouldn't be surprised if 360 fanboys tried to blow this thing up. Tried, try already have. Well atleast Sony cares about its user base to take down a f/w update that only effect a small ammount of users. Compared to others that just cover it up, instead of solving it.
