But that's a false analogy. War is somewhat similar to debate, but not the same; In war, there is no logic. The guy who is strongest, or sometimes even just the guy who is lucky wins. In debate, no one wins. Ever. And besides which, what does that even have to do with what you were talking about? o.O You're really stretching to try and relate the Pro-Choicers to Nazis; Why don't you just say, like Miranda is, that it's bullshit to exclude male Pro-Life opinions because of their lack of wombs?

I can see a thin correlation in that before the Nazis set out to kill people, they turned the public against that group and basically got it so that the group in question didn't have a voice, opinion, say, etc.
But the analogy stops there, and it's not a tactic limited to the Nazis. It's like saying America is turning into Big Brother when a speed camera gets set up at a traffic light. Yeah, you've got the camera monitoring the public, but it stops there.

There's no logic in war? There's no strategy? No reasoning? People fight just for the sake of fighting and the sides are determined at random, like siding up for middleschool dodgeball? It IS a bullshit excuse. It is the SAME bullshit excuse people use in wars to justify mistreating the other side. And Lyme- I agree completely. I didn't imply, or mean to imply, that they were nazis. I just said that it is a common wartime practice to demean the other side into not having a say.

A friend of mine was doing a pro-life v. pro-choice debate on the radio. I was there for technical support in case one of the microphones exploded or something. The girl on the pro-choice side went off on a rant about how male fetuses absorb more nutrients than female fetuses. 'Absorb more nutrients' is my sterile version. Her language was a bit more colorful (clawing, grasping, leeching etc.)
