I work at a pharmacy. I count medication out, check people out, and put information into computers. Today I got a script from a doctor named Hugh House. Which is pretty funny, it made me wonder what would happen if the personalities of Hugh Laurie and Gregory House melted into one being. Interesting. Edit: I'm going to talk about things that I learn in the pharmacy that pertain to the show House. smile

And you're right. That would be very interesting... *ponders the thought*

So I got a script for Vicodin from a patient today. As I snickered after the patient went to check out the grocery aisle I checked to make sure we had it. Well the thing is I was just watching the episodes with Tritter, I had a few issues with it. Vicodin is not a class three narcotic like they make it sound. Sure it's a controlled substance and could get a good price on the street but it's not a narcotic. People can become dependent on it like the character House does but it's not as bad as say... an addiction to percocet.
We normally don't even fill the brand Vicodin, people usually get the generic because it's cheaper.
One day when I get bored I'll probably look at the drug label that comes with it to see what the side effects are.
Percocets however, if you get rushed to the ER and are later sipped back home, are narcotics and highly HIGHLY addictive.

xXSweet-PopzXx it could've been a fake name. but it's sooo much more fun to think it's just a crazy coincidence xp I could be fake but that doctor had a DEA number. A REAL DEA number. When a doctor is given a DEA number there are a certain number of digits and they all have to add up to one of the numbers in the DEA number. It's really complicated and I can't explain it in more detail because then you too could come up with a DEA number to make fake prescriptions with. It's actually pretty funny when we get fake prescriptions, people are really dumb when they want a fix of percocet.
