Dylan pouted, his eyes wandering the room as he nestled a cup of milk between his knees - staring down at it thoughtfully as it swirled. Eva was fumbling around in the kitchen, just within earshot, preparing some sort of snack for him. He considered her rather nice, albeit somewhat delirious. But she made him laugh, and to laugh was to be happy - and to be happy was something Dylan had longed for for a while, even begrudgingly. His teeth fell out below his lips, his bad habit ensuring as he crunched down, soothing nerves.
"I h-f-" Eva began, shouting amongst the commotion of a kettle, some rattling dishes in the dishwasher and a whirring tumble drier. "What?" Dylan screeched back at her, forcing the cup of milk forward as he went to stand up, spilling over the table of magazines in front of him. He bit his lip again, and this time, he suppressed a little yelp. His eyes longed, and he sat back down, hands holding his head.
"What's wrong?" Eva emerged from the noisy room, holding a cup of tea for herself. "Oh, don't worry that little shark, we can sort that out don't worry." She referred to the mess of milk, and dampened magazines. "Sorry," he apologized pitifully. "Don't be!" She threatened in response, scurrying between kitchen and living room as she cleaned up his mess, and informed him of the day ahead.
"I've invited someone around..." Eva began, Dylan's eyes lighting up. Was it? "Someone from the Eden Project," she continued. Was it?! "I don't know his name," it wasn't, his eyes sank again, "but maybe you two will have something in common, he'll be able to help you Dylan, in ways that I can't!" She smiled broadly at him, pleased with herself. "I expect him at any moment." She wiped hurriedly, still smiling. Her house looking especially spotless.
And the little shark groaned, legs kicking.

Owen nervously rubbed at the tips of his ears using his thumbs and forefingers. It was a bad habit he had picked up at some point, while ti did warn him that he was felling stressed it also held the potential to cause sores on his ears if he did it too often. Still, today the young Eden child couldn't help it.
It had been a long time since he'd purposefully been going to meet anyone from the Eden project and back then it had been his father arranging the meetings. As it was it had taken all of Owen's begging to be allowed to visit this other child's house alone today. Really he wasn't a baby anymore and if anyone tried to grab him he'd blind them with his camera flash.
Releasing an ear Owen reached down to run his fingers over the small black camera dangling from his neck.
In his peripheral vision Owen spotted a building bearing the address he was supposed to go to. With a nervous smiled he trotted up to the door and knocked loudly.

"There he is now," Eva proclaimed delightfully, carelessly tossing the cloth away and nodding at Dylan. "Why don't you answer it, he is here to see you after all, go on, there's a good boy." What could have been perceived as overly patronizing was a mother's instinct, or at least Eva's instinct - her way of treating any possession of hers in a demeaning fashion, Dylan included; although not maliciously (in calling him 'boy', be it 'shark-boy' or 'eden-boy' ).
Dylan groaned louder, and pulled himself toward the door, forcing himself. Feet scraping the ground as he trudged pathetically toward it. He opened, and looked up at the rabbit Eden in front of him.
"What?" His tone sterile. "Who are you? What are you doing here? Do I know you? Why have you got long ears? What's your name? Are you from the Eden Project?" A barrage of questions in hoping to put him off. "Now, now!" Eva warned, "let him in, I have some snacks prepared for the pair of you." Dylan eyed him, and offered a hand shake, his teeth falling again - somewhat aggressively.
"I'm Dylan."

Owen shivered a little at the forwardness of the younger boy, by the looks of him Owen had encountered yet another Eden that would see him merely as a prey animals and thus easily intimidated. Though they weren't ruled by their Eden DNA Owen had found that a lot of the others did resemble it in some way or another when it came to attitude.
Still, he extended his left hand for a shake. " Hello Dylan, I'm Owen, Your mother invited me here to play with you. I have long ears for the same reason you have sharp teeth and yes I'm from Eden project.." He might not be able to shoot back questions of his own but Owen could answer the ones asked of him, and perhaps that would be enough to calm Dylan.
" Have you even been to the project headquarters before?" He asked the boy, some times guardians went without children or before they had left their leaves so it was hard to know how much they knew about the place.

"She's not my mother, she's a monster!" Albeit a joke, he carried it out quite seriously, staring at him as Eva peered and grinned curiously toward the pair (not quite knowing just what he'd said). "Please get me out of here," Dylan decided it might be quite fun to play a bit of a prank, yes, perhaps that would cheer him up. "I'm so hungry, she doesn't feed me." He stated simply. "Snack time!" Eva announced - plan ruined.
"Not hungry," Dylan called back, turning his attention to Owen, ditching the plan. "I can't remember, when smaller maybe. Don't remember much, want sister," Dylan had grown mentally, the lapse of time had seen him mature minutely and master the art of language completely. He really was quite the eloquent child, for his age at least. Progress, by any means.
"How old are you?" He inquired, quite the curious shark.

Stepping further inside Owen looked aroudn briefly before returning his attention to Dylan. he'd been slightly disturbed by the younger boys words before his Guardian had inadvertently steeped in with her call of snacks. then again, eh though it's note like Shouko would let us stay with people who didn't take care of us. Clearly this boy just wanted attention, like how Connor acted fussy when she wanted to be held.
The rabbit Eden looked thoughtful for a moment" Well the doctor says I'm around ten but I've only been alive a couple years. We don't grow like normal people." Indeed not why else would they spontaneously wake up much larger one day.
" Where's your sister?" Owen couldn't hear anyone else in the house and he'd only been asked to visit one child so he wasn't quite sure what was going on.

"Dunno where she is," he became excitable, bouncing up and down in front of him giddily. "Doyou-doyou-do-you-do-do-do-you-do-you-do-you-do-...you?!" Dylan boomed at him, bouncing. "Where is she?! Have you brought her here?" He tugged on the sleeve of his shirt, praising him warmly. "Let's have a snack and you can tell me where she is, please!" He demanded, trying to drag him off in the direction of the platter of candy, cheese sandwiches and potato chips.
Scooping up a cheese sandwich he offered it to him happily, almost willing to feed him as he prepared it's venture toward the rabbit Eden's chops. "Hungry?" Eva gasped, running toward the more so excitable Dylan, scooping him away from his grasps of Owen. "I'm so sorry rabbit!" She glared at Dylan. "This little boy needs to learn how to behave when we have guests around, isn't that right?"
"Right!" Dylan replied, trying to epitomize a level of compliance before his Guardian. He smiled sweetly, and excused himself. "But he knows where my sister is!"
"Ah!" She almost dropped him, "the elusive seal! Where is she?! Do you know?! Do-you-do-you-do-you?! That's one to add to my collection." Eva nodded sagely, "we could build a raft, or maybe I could absorb the power of the flipper. That would help me swim." Pondering, she turned away, wandered away and left Dylan bemused. "She is stupid! ...So.." He offered some candy.
"Do you?"

Everything was a blur and Owen found himself barraged with questions again in a loud voice while being dragged around. Well at least Dylan wasn't mean but he sure wasn't predictable either and Owen found himself confused as how to best answer the questions. Reaching up her rubbed fervently at the tip on his left ear.
"I .. No" he shook his head " I don't know where she is but I can help you look." It Seemed really important for Dylan to find her and if she was another Eden Owen might have more luck tracking her down since he was at the headquarters rather often to take care of the gardens. " I have sisters so I know they are special and that you must miss her." Owen would miss Anao and Connor if they were suddenly gone, he'd enjoy the lack of loud yelling but he'd miss them, they were family.
Nervously Owen shifted from foot to foot not quite willing to touch the offered food since he didn't have the required information.

Dylan sniffed, tears forming at the corners of his eyes. He blinked furiously, "that's ok, I'll find her eventually." Drawing the cheese sandwich back down to his mouth, he nibbled on a corner, eying Owen miserably. "I guess I am hungry," he giggled, a bit more cheerfully as he freely offered Owen the platter of selection. "Seleece," he whispered sadly, as the mellow mood set in again. The shark shivered, and looked away.
"I can't remember her," he admitted, a shocking revelation by any means. "I don't know what she looks like... I can't... remember," he was frustrated with himself, and he stood up; very short of Owen before him. And he sighed, he was frustrated.
He couldn't remember his sister. She was but a name, and a cause. He had to find her, he had to remember.

Owen felt horrid, he was supposed to be here to play, to have fun and make the other boy smile and all he'd done was make him miserable.Still a child himself Owen naturally placed all the blame on his shoulders. " Shouko will no where she is" he murmured" " I'll ask Shouko when I go back. He had to becuase really no one should be separated from family, to be able to forget what they were like.
Reaching our slowly Owen plucked a few chips of the platter and then popped them into his mouth. As he chewed them carefully he thought about the issue and came up with an idea maybe not about how to solve it but how to make Dylan feel better.
" Um,Ii can take pictures of you so you can make posters or something and so you have pictures to show her when you find her." Then almost as an afterthought " She has a really pretty name." Seelece was sorta cute espeically since it was implied that she was a seal.

Dylan smiled at him, "that sounds like a great idea Owen!" He was entirely enthusiastic, the thought of posters decorating the streets with his sisters face on it, he'd remember her! People would find her, because there were plenty of people - it was obvious! "Don't worry, I'm excited to see her again after all this time," he smiled, and tucked his fingers into a bag of potato chips, chewing without thought as his teeth demolished them underneath their wrath.
"We'll find her, won't we?"
Eva returned, and looked at the pair, smiling. "Where is your mother Owen? How on earth did you get here on your own?" She worried a bit for his sake, but was more fascinated with his long ears. They'd make great stockings, she thought, turning off away from the pair without care for his response.
The dishwasher clatter ensured.

Owen nodded and smiled reassuringly " We will." There was no doubt in his mind that they would succeed, after all it wasn't like his sister could have just disappeared. Seelece had to be somewhere.
Despite not having an audience to hear it Owen answered the questions anyways, just in case Dylan cared. " I don;t have a mother I have a father and i looked up directions online." he looked thoughtful for a moment. " I have a grandmother though."
Absently the rabbit Eden fiddled with the buttons on his camera, he wondered how best to get good pictures of someone like Dylan, probably it involved the boy not smiling becuase it didn't really look happy as much as predatory.

"What's your Dad's name?" Dylan inquired naturally, pressing his face in quite oddly against the camera as it whirred. "Oh, nice camera, shiny!" He toyed with the idea of being pictured, grinning for a split second. He couldn't ever recall being pictured, a new experience by any means. "I have Eva," he referred to the manic woman bustling around the house, "she's ok."
"What's the plan?" He asked, still peering into the camera as if some alien object. "Take pictures.. of... of who?"

" We take pictures of you" Owen explained "and we put them on posted so that if Seelece see's you and remembers she'll know where to find you." A lot of this plan depending on the girl or her guardian remembering what Dylan looked like but it was the best shot they had really aside from hiring a private investigator and he doubted they had money for that.
Explaination done he answered the boys earlier question." My father's name is Pash, he's really nice." Owen would love to have been raised by two parents like many children but he certainly didn't regret having Pash as a father.

Dylan peered at Owen, still quite perplexed for the moment - the thought of being pictured seemed alien. He hadn't quite become familiar with the procedure of photography, Eva kept no photos of her past - or herself. Her creative output abstract art, which hauntingly adorned the walls in it's dark and crimson colors. "Pash!" He repeated, without really knowing what else to say to Owen. Trying to find his sister seemed like a good idea, but for the child, a mammoth task. "Thanks," he said quietly.
Eva joined the pair again and looked to Owen. "I'll be taking you home now, we cannot cause Dylan anymore upset or confusion regarding the loss of his sister." She ushered Owen out, truck keys in her hands.
"Stay seated Shark, your intent on finding your sister is stupid on your own. I'll find her myself." Eva went to leave with Owen, giving him hardly any chance to say much else to the Eden boy in her pushiness.
