Slowly, almost discreetly, Colin had been munching on something. Laz, as he started to wiggle his wrist to twist the knife the small amount it would move to cut a little more into the shallow flesh over Colin's bone and a little deeper into Colin's thigh, he'd turn his head towards Laz's and, with a nice gob of spit behind it, hock up what had been in his mouth: the chunk of Laz's hand. Blood, meat, and spit all shot towards the man's face and, at this range, should hit dead on right in the eyes. Blurry vision, chunks of flesh and a nice film of pink spit. Try looking through that.

Well, that in itself should pose a problem to Laz, considering both hands were occupied, on holding knife, the other holding wrist. So, unless he wanted to let something go, he'd have to find another way to wipe it off.

This all happened in a second, and Colin's attention was aimed back to the hand with the knife. Adjusted aim, and another strike from his stick would be heading that man's way. It would be getting harder and harder to hold onto the blade. Bet Laz looked like he was trying to unlock and old door, jiggling his knife like that.

Due to this fight being the last to finish, the other combatants were able to watch it as well as the spectators through the glass floor. One of those combatants was currently down on all fours with her face near to the glass, shouting things such as "his head bite off" and "in the side stab him". Whether she was cheering or not, Tekka's grammar did not seem to improve and her enthusiasm for bloodshed did not diminish.

Lazenca made another good push after the notable stall, and force his body down on his main gauche to slice to the thigh. And those things might not be the best for slicing, but it was long and Laz's weight on his arm to push it down would help to rip through Colin's clothes, skin, and flesh. Having someone with the ability to carve you with a edge not made for carving hurt more than getting it easy and clean with a razor.

But yeah, the spit and all in his eyed forced him to close, and he snarled his annoyance with the action. Thank goodness that he was moving up on his arm to force the knife in... he'd use his right forearm hurriedly away the biggest gobs, smearing it across his face like washed-out war paint or something. Did nothing for the stuff that was in his eye already, making him blink rapidly in an effort to let his eyes clear it out naturally.

In all this, Lazenca had proven amazingly able to hold onto the knife. It wasn't so much that he was holding onto it, that he wasn't moving away from it. The basket knuckle guard thing was big and require a small bit of effort to remove himself from. He woulda rather put it in the way of the strikes every now and again, saving him a hit to his bruising wrist. So is how the story went, small movements here and there to move it side to side, back and forth, higher and lower. Only now, he was truly guessing since his vision was blurry and his eyes stung too much to keep them open for more than a half second at a time.

*Twack*

Gonna have to use reverse stance after this. Keep wiggling. Straighten the fingers.

*Twack*

Done with hovering over Colin, Lazenca made sure his legs were under him... he had good base. Good enough to move away, at least. Meant he had to let go of his knife though, huh?

*Twack*

Done and done. That last hit served as a positional giveaway... though Laz couldn't see where the hit was coming from, he'd waited this long to decide that feeling it would be almost as good. Angle of the stick, previous observation of how it was being held, timing of strikes... all of it took this long to put together. There was a frog on his wrist, telling clearly the beating it'd taken, and was almost numb. Oh, what a cost. Would it be worth it?

Laz finally slipped his hand out of the guard, chasing Colin's retreating wrist. Eyes cracked open and he'd accept the sting to be sure of where his hand was going. The half second would be too much time, even... only a quarter was needed to glance the angle of Colin's wrist and make a small adjustment in his own hand and arm to close in. Colin would either still be in retreat, or at the "lowest" part of his swing, when he was down from it and in the process of reseting himself for the next.

Now, Laz wasn't going to be able to chase from his position, on his knees or whatever as he was. But that's why he made sure the tips and balls of his feet were on the ground, so he had some kind of base to move forward and up, to pivot when needed. He did push up as he went Colin's arm, giving him enough reach to actually grab it. His lower body was working terribly hard to keep him anchored so he wouldn't fall over on his face.

However, once he had that wrist, and was able to close his hand around it (albeit just a bit more slowly than he would've liked, since he was working around his own frogged wrist), he leaned back with both in his hands. This is where the lower body proved its importance, knees and legs and lower back rocking him backwards so that he'd stand.

This may or may not pull Colin up, depending on his own height and length of arms. Bonus points if it did, though.

Give a slight balancing pivot on the right leg, raising the left between his own left and Colin's right arm. Lean back.

Colin's being ~15? degrees turned was about to hurt him, since it closed the distance between his face and Lazenca's foot, and would strike him a bit more on the left side. It also removed the stick from the equation-- not that he could use it, since Lazenca had the hand holding it.

The first stomp would be standing slightly to the side, given position, and would be the customary stunner. Spreading his right leg out just a bit meant that he could adjust them and remove that fifteen degree angle, likely to be used to do some tricky flipping and flopping around. All stomps that followed would be "head on," though with Lazenca leaning directly over Colin's body (though standing, meaning he has to work extra hard if he wants to kick Lazenca with any force that matters, if his right leg's got enough power in it to move at all), they'd be to his chin.

Someone in the crowd blinked and tilted their head 45 degrees to the left, suddenly understanding the position. Lazenca just turned Colin into a ski/sled that for some reason wasn't being ridden, and in irritation for bad quality was being kicked up front where it's curly, the part that makes the snow split.

All this while blinded, and in about 2.232323 seconds (to the first hit).

It'd taken all that getting hit with the stick and tumbling to get them here. And now that they were here, Lazenca wasn't giving up this position. It was time to put Colin to sleep.

COMBO ATTACK!

Successful in temporarily blinding the man, Colin would deliver what the man had only moments before been expecting: stick to the head. Shifting his swing up a few inches and forwards some more, the stick would catch Laz in the side of the face. Now, whether it be near his ear, or across his cheek bone, or anywhere in between was really all up to circumstance, but the strike would come, and, unless the man could see through forearm or sense changes in air pressure over the course of a second or less, the man would be getting some facial corporal punishment.

The knife would slowly sink between the legs, punching into thigh, the twisting and jostling of the blade now a much more effective form of damage. Colin would continue to alternate strikes between hand and head, no particular pattern in effect. Just whichever seemed like the safer bet.

Sure, the strikes could eventually be read, but how much longer would it have taken, if blows were being dealt randomly between head and hand? Maybe a few more, maybe a lot more, maybe even none at all. It really all depended on how well Laz could think between strikes.

Eventually, the grab would be effective, even with bloody hand and bloody wrist. How much would the struggle hurt the man's hand, a good sized chunk having been relocated onto his face? Would he be able to hold on long enough for the change of position from mount to ski?

O RLY? How well would he be able to maneuver if Colin did this:

DON'T STICK IT IN ME!

Yes, Colin just yelled at the top of his lungs at the man. Considering the entire fight, besides a few room volume sentences made by Laz, and the few grunts made by the two combatants after, oh, hitting the floor of being kicked, punched, stabbed, etc., a full volume yell would be hardly expected, and should break some concentration, possibly screwing up his attempted switcheroo on Colin.

And, that's when he'd strike. Yes, Knife was in him and, yes, it hurt like hell, but so would this: double bicycle kick to the man's right knee. You know, the one he's trying to pivot on. How well would the turn go it, say, it was hyper-extended by the force of the kick? What if it bent backwards? Patella was torn from cartilage? Nobody knows, but the kick would be launched, knife pulled free from thigh, albeit in a very unconventional and painful manner, still tectonically held in place, blood dripping from the reddened blade, and would more than likely hit with RAMMING SPEED.

Would the rest of the push-me-pull-you move continue through? How well would it be performed with a now extended pair of legs barreling towards him, and afterwards when the withdrew for another pump?

This cat don't know Laz.

Hits to the head were expected, as is well known. While it didn't actually lessen the impact, when he knew they were coming, he resolved himself to getting out of there. So the hit to the head would prompt him to move faster, not wanting to take any more blind hits. And with them alternating, Colin was only gonna get one or two in (see: Lazenca's internal dialogue). Good hits mind you, but Lazenca's been proving himself able to take punishment to deal what's supposed to be the final blow.

Lazenca's wrist wasn't bloody, just his palm. A frog is a knot... just depends on where you are in the world that determines what it's called. Unless his stick had a blade somewhere or its ridges were lined with something more than wood, blunt damage was all he was getting.

Lazenca also ignored everything not related to his fights that wasn't the opponent saying "I give up" (see: his not looking up into the crowd to see the signs Colin saw, or the pretty, crazy lady shouting her requests in bad grammar'd Engrish). In the case that the exclamation was his giving up (but why would he give up when he's knocking Laz upside the head and in the hand-- apparently with advantage since Lazenca mounted no visible defense against the actions), Colin could feel free to repeat his not-actually-giving-up.

Operation: Shock into Hesitation done got FUBAR.

If Colin was going to still bike kick him, then he was taking that kick to the side of the head, since that came with the pivot and they were too close for anything else to matter. In such a case, Lazenca would end up on his right knee, pulling those arms-- Laz's right/Colin's left between Colin's legs. A serious change in positioning came with a serious change of actions, but the goal should be the same.

So he could avoid getting some bad damage in his head right off the bat, Lazenca bulled his neck. Wouldn't stop Colin from trying to kick him in the head, but it'd stop his neck from wiggling and hyperextending and getting hurt or whatever.

Instead of delivering all those planned follow-up stomps, Lazenca extended his left leg as if he were stomping, rather pressing the foot it against Colin's chin. He also took a sec to breathe and curse at himself, because he still couldn't see for more than a half second... and even that was threatened for the sweat and hair in his eyes. This was a lot of sacrificing, a lot of hopeful movements... and this could be done right. But Lazenca had to press his point.

...Wait, what the hell. On his knee, with his foot under Colin's chin...

Lazenca stood up. Assuming Colin wanted to kick Laz's head in, Lazenca was going to lean into that right foot, to take stock of where it was the same way he sought to find out where the hand was. The best he could do there was turn his shoulder in, offering that instead of his head for any remaining strikes.

For some reason, he calculated that the left foot, being on the other side of the hands between Colin's legs, was going to have to go out of its way to inflict damage, so Lazenca didn't do anything much there. Twisting here and there to put his own right arm in the way or something... but if they hit with what little force he thought they should hit with, then they hit.

One could go and blame the fact that he actually is losing the ability to think, despite his... still going. Ya don't just brush off that many hits to the head (and assumably kicks there, too). Maybe he was right in it all, though?

The important thing he was banking on was that by standing back up and actually leaving a little bend in his knee so the joint didn't get kicked into his calf, all this struggling and all... Lazenca would have the time to think and recover his mental facilities. Colin had to pick and chose his targets, all while fighting the ~285 lbs now crushing his windpipe.

Now, the line's now open in case Colin wanted to call in his yielding.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 13, 2008 6:13 pm

Sorry, but that 'call' was going to take more than a threatening stance on top of an unstable surface. Now, a miracle that the guy was still grabbing him, even after bulling his neck and getting kicked in the face with fully extending legs, which would have knocked back any normal person, especially if they were trying to prevent any form of neck damage.

His scream didn't work. Yet another surprise. He'd have to remember that for next time.

And so, here's where it was going...
Ecks X

In such a case, Lazenca would end up on his right knee, pulling those arms-- Laz's right/Colin's left between Colin's legs...

Instead of delivering all those planned follow-up stomps, Lazenca extended his left leg as if he were stomping, rather pressing the foot it against Colin's chin....

...Wait, what the hell. On his knee, with his foot under Colin's chin...

Lazenca stood up.

...tanding back up and actually leaving a little bend in his knee so the joint didn't get kicked into his calf...

Well, not quite sure how Laz planed to pull his arm between two still clamped together legs, it would be assumed that the arm was pulled over the legs. This arm would, presumably, be under the left foot now pressing into his chin.

Colin struggled, of course, but not enough to distract him from what was going on. Both wrists still in Laz's hands, as the weight shifted forward, pressing into his throat, Colin would take a deep breath, bull his own neck, and do the following:

-Retract his two extended legs.
-Pulls Laz down and forward
-Press the end of his stick into the back of Laz's left knee
-Roll his torso to the right, including his head
-Trap Laz's left leg between Colin's neck and the ground.

Now, for the explanation. As Colin withdrew his legs, the knees would press into Colin's left wrist, the one pulled underneath Laz's left leg. This added force would drag Laz down, causing the left leg to decrease in pressure if Laz wanted to keep balance.
Since his left hand was now bending back, Colin would rotate his wrist and press the end of the wooden shaft into the back of Laz' knee, applying pressure that would more than likely cause the knee to buckle.
With the man off balance, a simple turn to the right would cause Colin's right arm to pull down, forcing the already unstable man to roll to his respective left. The turn would also cause the foot on Colin's neck to roll, since his neck would lift and turn with the body, meaning that Laz would be in a somewhat awkward split, right leg below Colin's torso, left pinned under his neck.

Many things could go wrong with this, some making it even easier for Colin to survive another post, others not so much. Now, it was Laz's turn to compensate.
