Beautiful, clear blue eyes slowly revealed themselves from a sleepy, dazed state, as the wind played gently across scarred cheeks. Soft, bright silken blond locks danced with the playing breeze as he lifted himself up , yawning. Shaking his head, he glanced around, trying to figure out what had happened recently. He was fighting and... he was fighting... and... why couldn't he remember? It was then he realized... he wasn't a human. What happened? Blinking rapidly in confusion, he realized he was still himself, but not himself... Naruto stared at the fox who had suddenly appeared before him, who was staring back at him.

"Hn... you seem to have completely lost your memory... no surprise, Naruto, since you've always been stupid anyway," came the grunted voice of the dark orange fox. "You're a horse now, idiot. And no, it's not a dream."

"Kyuubi!" he finally spoke, and then blinked when it came out as a kind of horse-like sound. "Eh...?" Well, Kyuubi's voice wasn't echoing in his head (how did he know that?) and since... for some reason, his head was telling him this fox's name was Kyuubi... oh well, whatever. "Where are we?"

Ah, an intelligent question for once, he thought. "We're in a place that's different from where we came from. You can say... we're sort of visiting?" Kyuubi grinned maliciously. Oh, this was going to be fun...

Days had stretched to months then time paused as the stallion kept searching for something that was missing. Powerful wings that carried him flexed and moved as a fan, easy and flowing as feathers swept the sky. His deep eyes of onyx constantly seeking that missing piece. Something was out of place and he was determined to locate it at no cost.

A wolf had approached him one day seemingly knowing who he was...

"Your name is Sasuke and I am your eyes, "the canine had spoken with a hard gaze where eyes lingered in a freaky red design back at the tall stallion. Smirking the wolf nodded to the other's shock, "I am Sharingan..."

"Sasuke," He repeated the name within his mind with much clarity so as not to forget. Now this creature's name is Sharingan. Why did that name seem so familiar Sasuke thought to himself.

Then the memory faded and Sasuke was alone to his thoughts as he cut through the air once more. Silence if only the sound of the wind haunted him. Was it true a long time ago in a dream that he himself was another creature in another lifetime the stallion pondered. A great battle had ensued and he was cast into darkness till now. A void that seemed open like a wound, always there to taunt and create contemplations as to who he was.

Pulling his wings outward he descended toward the ground with wandering eyes. That wolf had to be somewhere and Sasuke was eager to find him. Pitch darkness with a gaze that lingered long after, burning in one's mind. Sharingan seemed almost familiar somehow as Sasuke sought this illusive wolf.

Finally touching upon the ground the stallion firmly placed his onyx hooves firmly within the dirt. It felt quite good actually as he stood there scanning the area. There was another that filled his mind with blanks from that other time, but Sasuke was unsure whom it was. He just remembered the great fight was linked to this mysterious individual he was fated to meet once again some day.

Shaking his head Sasuke decided the first thing he'd do was search for fresh water. Being the first and foremost priority, he was concerned that his welfare was more important than merely seeking that missing piece.

There was plenty of time to ponder that faded memory...

As he found a suited water source Sasuke stood there staring at himself once again as visions played out like cinematic scenes. He noted the mark upon his shoulder, that of a red and white image that burned his subconsciousness like a vivid wake up call. But the stallion still had no recollection of who he truly was.

"Who am I really? Was does this soul yearn to set things right toward something that happened in my past. Why can't I remember?!" He stood gazing for a long time fighting with himself once again internally as to why he existed in the first place. What had he come to this place to find, and what was it he would accomplish when he did find it after all?

Shaking his head he craned downward and purposely distorted his image while getting a drink. He'd find that piece soon and when he did the memories would crash within his mind like a raging Tsunami.

This the angeni stallion that was called Sasuke knew deep within himself.

He had noticed right away that they had company when both he and Naruto arrived at the sparkling lake that glittered brightly under the burning sun. It would figure that of all the Soquili Naruto would meet, it had to be that guy! However, if that guy lost his memory like Naruto did, then perhaps there wouldn't be a problem if Naruto just drank a little bit of water and then they both moved on... Kyuubi also prayed Naruto didn't notice that guy.

The lake was so shiny and glittery and pretty that it had distracted Naruto enough so that he didn't notice he had company (aside from Kyuubi). Bending down to taste the delicious water, he gulped cheerfully before he looked at Kyuubi, the question having burned in his mind for a long time. "Hey, Kyu... You never answered me earlier. Where are we, man?" He looked up at the blue, blue sky that match the awesome colors of his eyes, though one could say that the deep blue color of his eyes outmatch the sky itself.

Kyuubi shrugged, drinking a touch of water himself. Even in separate bodies he found he was unable to escape Naruto, and he was awed and disgusted to find he was attached to the kit, even when he now had the chance to escape and leave the idiot alone. "I thought I already told you, Naruto," he answered calmly. "But like always, you weren't paying attention and you repeat your question. You're a horse, Naruto. That should be the first clue!" He side-glanced at that guy to make sure he hadn't yet noticed them. He had to hurry and get Naruto away; after that battle, which was probably why Naruto had been dazed when he first woke up, Kyuubi found himself wishing for Naruto to go through this life without having to suffer terrible memories of his past... but it looked like he would have to deal with that guy first... That guy always seemed to be around no matter what!

He laughed, slightly guiltily. "Ah, sorry, Kyuubi, it's just weird that I only remember bits and pieces from before... besides you and my name, the only thing I remember is Sasuke," he finished cheerfully. "But I don't know why. I guess it was really important to me or something, whatever this Sasuke was, or maybe it's a someone, so maybe he was important. Haha!" He then turned to take another drink--the water was really, really good!!--not even once noticing the majestic Angeni not a little too far away. Perhaps he was just that dense and thick-headed, or Naruto was just being Naruto... or maybe it was probably both, but then, why would he really care? This place felt calm and free and peaceful, and it seemed he wouldn't have to fight anymore... why had he been fighting in the first place anyway? Ah, well.

He shook his head. "It doesn't matter, Naruto. Why are you taking so long to get a drink? I want to get out of here! There's a place I'd like to go but I can't go anywhere without you, you know!" Damn, that guy had probably noticed them by now! Naruto had spoken a lot louder than Kyuubi had anticipated (why was he such a loud mouth~!?) and now he continuously side-glanced the other stallion who had probably seen them both by now.

The quietness was definitely a plus as the wind pushed gently through his mane letting it linger in strands then fall downwards once more. Ebony black within the darkness that swirled around him like void his thoughts were traveling like a fast moving battle.

Moving slowly then forced to descend like the wind he fought for what he believed in. Strong. So strong the other was he gritted his teeth in frustration. Calling upon the ultimate power to break and sever something that was a part of him. He'd do anything to win, even if it meant killing the other... yet if he did that then his brother's foolish words would have been right. No. he would never kill his best friend though he longed to to rid himself of that lingering warmth he so stubbornly wanted rid of. No matter what the cost he would sever that bond and would be free to leave. Flying with power that enveloped his entire being, he moved against his target determined to finally win.

"Naruto." A voice in his mind echoed with clarity causing him to remember.

Coming to the stallion turned his head over to notice the strangely familiar stallion that looked very much like the one from those painful distorted images that flitted endlessly within his mind. blonde hair, bright blue eyes, an annoyance from his deepest nightmare. Snorting he narrowed orbs of obsidian toward the other noticing the smaller creature by his side.

"Naruto," he said it with a deep yet sensuous voice letting the name sink within and stay put as it lingered upon his tongue. He was a bit confused and yet this other stallion was reminding him of that time, that other life that brought him pain.

Uzamaki Naruto... Saaaa Baka." he muttered to himself still glaring as his wings brushed around him followed by a stamp of his hoof soon after. Upon hearing the other speak his name, Sasuke's eyes widened.

"It is you Naruto isn't it? You couldn't let me leave could you?" the stallion announced finally with an irritated deep tone. His eyes becoming more angered at the sight of something he was sure the bonds were severed with. Uzamaki Naruto, yes his name was clear as was the visions that stormed the angeni's mind like a washing of a Tsunami. He'd found Sasuke finally but as a horse? Funny that Sasuke had thought himself a man once in a dream himself, but looking in the crystalline blue before him he saw a horse as well feathered in huge wings that draped upon his back. Yet he was wearing the same thing from his dreams, and his hair was the same. Could it be that Sasuke was reborn as a horse? That was crazy and unheard of in the stallion's mind.

Deciding the only thing he could do he approached the Duo looking quite smug with a victorious smirk. If Naruto didn't remember him this was icing on the cake. Losing his memory was as good as a disconnected bond in Sasuke's eyes. Clearing his throat he stopped around two feet from them and spoke, "Oi Naru. I told you not to follow me and yet you seem to have forgotten who you are. Heh I finally did sever that bond."

His eyes flickered with a happiness yet sadness seeped through feeling as if he had lost his best friend through all this time.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
His fur bristled as he glowered at the approaching stallion--damn him!--and quickly glanced up to see Naruto staring at the other with a blank expression. s**t! Does he remember!? Kyuubi did not wish for Naruto to remember his painful past, but at the same time, that meant... Ah, s**t. I knew it. He cursed vehemently within his mind as he snarled softly, a silent warning to the Uchiha to stay as far away as he possible could from Naruto.

The familiar sound of a voice he had always heard triggered his thoughts, thrusting them into a whirlwind of nonsensical memories that flickered back and forth. He could not make out any understanding of any of them, and this frustrated him. The same voice continued to speak, and as such... the name Uchiha Sasuke kept pounding in his head, over and over, until he wanted to scream with the pain it was giving him. Shaking himself loose when he heard Kyuubi snarl, Naruto's blue eyes focused on the stallion who had suddenly appeared... and somehow, the stallion knew who he was!? "Hi... what?" The other stallion's words had just registered completely within his head, and he immediately backed away. "No..." he muttered. His head was aching enough as it was.

In retaliation, he looked up with a fierce glare at the tone used against him. "What the hell? I didn't follow you, Sasuke! It was probably the other way... around..." Naruto stared hard and then swallowed the lump that had appeared in his throat. "Sa... Sasuke... is that... really you?" Sasuke... Uchiha Sasuke... it was no wonder that name still lingered in his mind! Sasuke, his rival, his brother, his best friend... of course! Naruto smirked, knowing that now his memories (or at least the better and worst half of them) proved that Sasuke hadn't severed their bond... he never would be able to. Naruto wouldn't allow it to happen--ever. "b*****d! You killed me and then I get reincarnated into a horse!" He snapped. "Like I could forget that stupid arrogant smirk of yours! And like hell I would let you leave!"

He snorted, shooting Sasuke's final words down the drain. "The bond you supposedly severed is still here! Even if I don't remember much besides that I think we used to be human, you can't ever get rid of me!" He laughed triumphantly and then sighed. "But why the hell do you get to have wings and I don't? Why are you..." Always better than me and getting all the better stuff!? Life is totally unfair, man, even when I reincarnated! Argh! It hadn't occurred to Naruto that he knew he had been reincarnated, nor did he realize that he only remembered a small trace of his old self.

Damn, Naruto remembered the annoying Uchiha. Well, of course he would; Sasuke had made a huge impact in Naruto's life, and Kyuubi thought it would be remarkable if Naruto had forgotten about him. But to see that the two were reacting to each other the same they had always reacted to each other, Kyuubi swore it was practically nostalgic in its own way... terribly so. His red flickered for a mere tenth of a second with concern as he glanced at his "master," and then his glared that had been trained towards the Uchiha became fiercer. So, Sasuke had killed them (Kyuubi referring to when he had been trapped inside Naruto's stomach) and they had been sent here for whatever God knew what, and then God sent Sasuke right after them?

But, as Kyuubi thought about it, Sasuke hadn't appeared before them until now... and it had been about a month and a half, meaning Sasuke had been killed a bit later after they had been killed... what in the world was going on? Kyuubi had memories of everything the two stallions could only have traces of, and this, in its own way, bothered him more than Naruto's suffering. He felt no remorse or guilt for causing Naruto's life to be so crappy, but he did feel that the things that happened to Naruto were his fault... so could take the blame and cruelty, but he would never regret it... and yes, he did feel guilty after all... how ironic. "Naruto..." he muttered.

The stallion hesitated hearing that familiar sarcasm, cursing silently beneath his bated breath. Even in this afterlife Naruto the knucklehead ninja was still annoying as hell in his responses. Sasuke remembered this was his rival, the next Hokage of Konoha as he always uttered like the idiot he was. Perhaps someday that was his destiny but it was none of Sasuke's concern. Seems that little companion reminded the stallion of the missing black canine that had approached him not long ago then simply vanished.

"Your name is Sasuke and I am your eyes, "the canine had spoken with a hard gaze where eyes lingered in a freaky red design back at the tall stallion. Smirking the wolf nodded to the other's shock, "I am Sharingan..."

Just who the hell was Sharingan anyway? Why did he have those familiar eyes that Sasuke remembered now firmly within his mind. He smirked and frowned simultaneously at the mere thought that this wolf that had spoken was truly "his eyes". Just what the hell was happening to him in this life Sasuke wondered. His eyes, the precious family heritage was running around on four legs? This was just too hard to even ponder let along try and contemplate how such a thing actually was conceivable.

"Heh and here I thought your pitiful brain couldn't remember me. I'm impressed Naruto." His gaze hard and full of contempt sized up the other with much speculation as to why he too was a horse. Things just didn't make sense once the darkness had overcome him. Was he truly dead and reincarnated as this beast of burden? Flaring out his large wings he stared at them for a bit still trying to remember just why things had appeared one day, mainly his soul in this place of unrest. Narrowing his gaze he thought on something else, a darkness that was seeping over his heart with much pain.

"Where is Itachi Naruto?!" his eyes flickering yet nothing of the mirror eye wheel known as Sharingan precious to the Uchiha clan activated for him. Disgruntled he placed his wings closely against him and stepped a bit closer narrowing his eyes at the smaller form of what was thought to be Kyuubi; the nine tailed fox.

"Why are we like this?" he directed toward the fox, "I know I was human once and so was Naruto. Why are we in the form of horses and..." He paused gritting his teeth till they rasped upon one another. "Why has my Sharingan got up and taken to walk on it own?" He wanted answers from this trickster whom seemed to know him right off the bat, just like the black wolf bearing his clan's symbol.

He was frustrated and angered that he was reduced to this now. Hell maybe Itachi had throughly killed him and stolen those precious eyes for all he knew. But then it was quite a predicament knowing your eyes had a mind of their own. He felt powerless in this form as it was impossible to do jutsu without the proper formations and correct timing.

Were they both powerless as they were he wondered.

Snapping back to reality he smirked in his usual cocky sense toward Naruto, "Yes its me Baka. Why you couldn't tell?" he laughed with sarcasm feeling quite out of place as a very large equine right now. Raising his head he moved in closer with a feathery swish of his long tail that flicked upward of shining onyx colored hair, then in a cascade fell downward.

He sighed looking around then, a subtle flick of his keen ears. "I don't know why we're here now as this "form" but there's a reason to it I suppose. Not that I care anything more about it though." he commented with much doubt in his voice. He truly was spooked and unnerved that this was his destiny now. Maybe he had killed Itachi after all and could finally live his days in peace. Peace, the word was never truth, mainly fiction with lies intertwined like roving snakes.

He really didn't know why or where, just the missing puzzle was slowly coming together. Though Sasuke would never openly admit that Naruto was what he sought besides that traitorous murderer of a brother. A past that slowly was rewinding itself with all the hurt and pain presented itself once more.

Sasuke knew somehow things would finally adjust themselves, for now he just needed to deal with it.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Shut up, b*****d," he sneered, hurt that Sasuke would think he'd forget about him. How could he forget his best friend... his brother... his rival? No way in Heaven or Hell; Sasuke was engrained too deeply inside his mind, as deeply as Kyuubi once was before the fox had, somehow, escaped the seal. "I'm surprised you even thought to remember me, Sasuke, since you seem to think I'm not worth it at all, Mr. I'm-the-Best-at-Everything-Possible." Sasuke was annoying; he hated him and liked him, admired him and wanted to kill him all at once. How could a person--er, stallion--cause such conflicting feelings!?

"What the hell, b*****d?! Like I would know where Itachi is! Why do you think I would know?!" The last thing Naruto recalled having any involvement with the older Uchiha had been when he was almost kidnapped for Kyuubi's power. That had been before the grand fight he had had with Sasuke, just before everything went black... he couldn't remember anything else at all. It was painful, especially since he had blotches and patches of memories that had nothing to do with the other. He narroed his eyes at Sasuke, realizing he was being ignored in order for Kyuubi to be questioned. Damned. b*****d. Uchiha.

Kyuubi smirked, knowing the Uchiha was frustrated, wondering how this life had come to be. He shrugged, remaining silent, although he was most certainly laughing at Sasuke. "...Sharingan up and walked away? Ah, so you have lost the power in your eyes... you have lost your bloodline limit, I presume?" he questioned, grinning wickedly from ear to ear. He knew about Sharingan, but only vaguely. The eyes that inhabited that body of a wolf had probably taken over the mind of the poor creature, rendering a personality, naming itself "Sharingan" (more than likely). This was merely a guess and a theory, but he'd have to say that was the most logical way of how it came about.

"I know it's you!" he retorted. "Seriously, I should leave right now and forget about you. After this, we won't meet again, Sasuke." His tone was dead seroius and his eyes a dark shade of blue. Though it pained him to leave Sasuke he was through. He was tired. Naruto never gave up, and he hadn't yet given up, but that didn't mean he didn't know how. There were times that it worked and exhausted him to the point where he felt he should just forget about it all. Now was the time for it. Naruto had yet to realize that perhaps this was his chance to convince Sasuke to stop his silly revenge, but what was the point of that when Itachi was the goal?

The older Uchiha had engrained revenge far too deeply inside Sasuke; it had shut everything and everyone else out, and therefore, after knocking on the rock-solid, ice encased heart for so long, he realized it was hopeless. He began to back away, annoyed he had even stayed this long near Sasuke. "If you don't care about it then don't bother me," he said dully. "I don't care either, but you always seemed to know everything, so I asked. b*****d." He turned away and began to walk a little ways, following the soft shore of the lake, wanting to feel the gentle breeze and smell the fresh air; it had always made him feel better in the end, anyway.

Sasuke was becoming furious and irritated even looking at Naruto as he questioned his own uncertainties. Of all the damn people err stallions to encounter it had to be that loser that thought himself equal to an Uchiha. Heh the nerve of the little moron to even try. Uchiha were prestigious for their abilities and famed for their popularity on power and rank. They equipped with the Sharingan were indeed amassed in power beyond comprehension. Able to see things and judge situations, they were perfect in the heat of battle. But right now Sauke felt lost without his Sharingan to guide his vengeful thoughts. No the damn things were walking around in a wolf's body. Just what the hell had happened from the moment he and Naruto clashed in the climax of that fight? Everything else from then on became nothing but distorted problems and painful endeavors he'd rather not face ever again.

He plainly ignored Naru glaring down at that feral mongrel that once lie trapped behind golden gates deep in Naru's mind. He definitely knew more than he was letting on, Sasuke would place his hoof upon it with sheer force if could have.

"I've not lost anything, especially not my power. I will always gain power no matter what it takes, and then I'll destroy that murderous traitor that presumed to call himself my brother. No one shall take that happiness from me for I will be the one that will end his life come hell or high water. That goes for you as well Naru..." He noticed Naruto had wandered off in anger. Always the little hothead when he didn't get his own way that was Sasuke's evaluation from the past. Always seeking attention because he was alone. Heh like Sasuke needed anyone when he had his determination to keep struggling in life. So what if he was alone in that cruel world clinging to life, what did he care anyway. He'd sit for hours down by the riverside and ponder how to gain more agility, power, ideals for his life further down the line.

Then Sasuke remembered something as he watched Naruto walk slowly away. A long time ago when they were kids the two glanced at one another for a brief instant. Always the curious Naruto looking downward from the hill while Sasuke sat there staring endlessly over the rolling waves in the river. Always smiling, always happy though really the little jerk was lonely as Sasuke himself. Two worlds yet similar in pain and surroundings the kids struggled through life. Then one day as their paths crossed by a single eye glance something happened.

Naruto stood there and smiled at Sasuke, which of course made the Uchiha boy turn around and glare as usual. As Naruto kept walking and occasionally peeked downward at the wayward boy he smiled at him. But what Naruto didn't know was Sasuke was smiling too. That even through that rivalry they carried on through life till that point, the two still stayed bonded and close. Even though Sasuke would scream "it's over. Bonds are cut" they weren't.

God what a moron he was! Sasuke hated the little jerk with everything he had wishing he would of disappeared, but was he that damn lucky? Oh hell no! Sasuke was stuck in this damn afterlife or whatever this was with the one person that made his heart ache till it bled with tears. Uzumaki Naruto why did you have to come here as well as me?! Sasuke was plainly frustrated and a bit upset but his hooves were carrying him right after the blonde haired blue eyed menace. Head bobbing as the wind brushed by, he lifted his massive wings to feel the sensation.

"Naruto!" he shouted with all his might, "Don't you run away from me like some powerless moron!" He snorted pawing the ground angry and ready to pound the crap out of the other stallion. But what Sasuke did shocked even himself royally, "Naruto!" he sighed nearing the other would a lowered gaze. "I'm sorry. Don't go anywhere alright?" He frowned feeling very little though he was indeed a large equine with huge wings. Right now he felt like he was sitting upon that pier once again feeling loneliness creep back in like a sneaky snake.

"I'm sorry don't go anywhere Naruto." he grumbled silently wondering which dream he was falling into this time. It was a dream right? That would explain the uncertainty in his voice. Hell even Naruto's voice seemed different. A dream of dreams that tormented the hell out of him. Well he better make the best of it while he could. Besides maybe Naruto would help him look for this Sharingan that claimed to be his family's heritage.

Things were definitely odd as hell in this place.

~*~

Meanwhile further away a black wolf with red eyes was checking out his surroundings with a disgruntled look. Flashing with an oddness as they opened and closed, they seemed his entire life force keeping him alive. One moment in time the canine remembered seeing an epic battle then everything faded to black within a few moments. Then when he reopened his eyes there the wolf stood upon a strange plain. Such odd things were occurring lately, he didn't know what to expect.

Padding along he picked up that weird scent again of that large equine he had approached a few days ago. A strange feeling overcoming him, he blurted out something insane yet he knew it was correct. Shaking his head the wolf desperately tried remembering what he had told the stallion, "Your name is Sasuke and I am your eyes " the canine had spoken with a hard gaze where eyes lingered in a freaky red design back at the tall stallion. Smirking the wolf nodded to the other's shock, "I am Sharingan..."

Well of course he knew his name was Sharingan, like that was a big surprise. but what was with that feather winged stallion he felt tied to anyway the wolf pondered. Seriously things were messed up all to hell he thought to himself. Just who the hell was this stallion anyway and why did he feel ties to the arrogant nag? Honestly things in the afterlife (if that's what they were) were just messed up beyond comprehension. Well in any case he needed to find Sasuke again and confirm this wasn't a dream, because frankly it did feel like one. Hell even his fur coat carried that odd symbol of a red and white fan upon his shoulders. Also the headband that matched the stallion sat upon his forehead. Just what was happening to him he grumbled leaning his head down for a drink. Lapping up the cool water he caught a scent of two others which made his head ache with pain.

"Damnit to hell... don't tell me Sasuke... you stupid idiot.... Naruto your rival isn't here as well?! That would complicate things more than I need." he scowled then shook his head, "Naruto? Who the hell is Naruto? For that matter who the hell is Sasuke?!" He was losing it, that was the wolf's conclusion.

Only thing Sharingan could do now was find these familiar scents and figure out why his blackouts were coming more full stream over and over again. He was fed up with remembering one thing then others fading out like memorizes washed out to sea.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
He seethed silently while brooding over what Sasuke said, knowing that the Uchiha had gotten under his skin--er... fur...--again. Why? Why did that stupid. b*****d. Uchiha (it seemed he couldn't think of anything truly insulting to the idiot) always, always, always rile him up like this? Not only did he have to be freaking stupid superior in every way, he had to be damn arrogant, and he could be that way because he knew he was stronger, faster, better. And Naruto seriously knew he needed to stop cursing, because it didn't necessarily help to show that he was more intelligent than that...er, sort of. He sighed to himself, grumbling under his breath about "stupid Uchiha's and their pride!" He flicked an ear when he heard hoof-steps beginning to approach him, but ignored Sasuke as the stupid oaf continued to call out his name. What? What did the Uchiha want from him? He was damn horse now! Not like--oh, there he went cursing again. No wonder everyone thought he was stupid...er...it probably didn't help that he tended to do whatever he wanted on impulse... geez, he needed some air around here. "Naruto! Don't you run away from me like some powerless moron!"

He gritted his teeth, nearly rounding on the other stallion as Sasuke came up to his side, mumbling something he swore he was just imagining the Uchiha saying. "Naruto!" What!? He didn't just... but he did. No. F***ing. Way. He turned his head to avoid showing his startled surprise at the Uchiha apologizing. That's right. Apologizing. What happened to the rival best friend he had when they were younger? Naruto often wondered about this, clinging to a certain memory when he had been walking to his temporary "home"--though he wouldn't call it "home," since he had no one to come "home" to, until Iruka-sensei (where was Iruka-sensei, anyway?) decided to keep an eye on him--and saw Sasuke sitting out on a pier, staring out into the endless soft waves of the lake. Naruto had always thought that that was how they had come to be friends... to be rivals... to later become best friends, brothers. But as they got older, their rivalry got intensely rough. He never understood why Sasuke always thought that he was weaker and lower than him, but at the same time Naruto knew Sasuke regarded him more equally than any other rivals they had ever had... although the blond, former-ninetail fox carrier figured all the others probably thought he was their rival... except that Neji had called him something weird. Ah, well.

He remembered returning Sasuke's glare for about a second before he grinned widely at the Uchiha, not understanding why he was smiling at Sasuke, but knowing that, somehow, it made them both feel better if he was smiling. He had turned away at that point, peeking over his shoulder once in a while at Sasuke, but the Uchiha had looked away already, and Naruto never saw that he had smiled too. "Whatever, b*****d. You know I'll always forgive you," he smirked, accepting the apology. "But hey, I can leave any time I want to, who says I have to do what you say, eh, Uchiha?" He turned that time, half-scowling and half-laughing in exasperation. He wondered if he was the first person Sasuke had ever apologized to, let alone even be the last person the Uchiha would apologize to. It was so strange; if this was a dream, he wanted it to stay in this dream, because at least Sasuke was being abnormally semi-nice for once. "You scared if I leave something will happen to you, Sasuke?" he taunted. Naruto had grown up being terrified of different things, but he was never scared to be alone--at least, not for long. He had always had someone with him, at some point in time, somewhere. But like Sasuke, he would never admit he was scared; in their own way Naruto knew that maybe if they both said they weren't scared then something good was bound to happen... it had to. Somehow.

He muttered obscenities under his breath as he marched off after Naruto, knowing the Uchiha was going to stop Uzumaki and that Naruto would probably forgive him... Kyuubi growled softly, before the wind picked up and brought a familiar--and yet unfamiliar--scent to his nose. He glanced up, trying to pinpoint the odd scent before his glowing red eyes spotted something not too far from them. A wolf? he thought, going by the familiar scent that mixed together with an unfamiliar one.

Turning around to face the direction where the smell was coming from, his ears twitched, telling him that both stallions had stopped to converse a bit, and somewhat grinning to himself when Naruto started to insult Sasuke again. Ah, life. Kyuubi noted that the wolf had noticed both stallions and was probably having the same problem as them--memories with blackouts, knowing and not knowing who he was.

He smirked. My, my, God was helping him out quite a lot doing this! He quickly glanced over to Naruto and Sasuke to make sure they wouldn't leave while he went off to investigate the wolf whom he had dubbed to be Sharingan, the wolf that possessed the invaluable bloodline limit of the Uchihas. He was quite enjoying his new life--indeed, he quite was.

Powerless. That's how the Uchiha stallion felt feeling the humility of Naruto's reaction to his apology. He didn't have to really, but for some reason he did. That wolf of his was probably laughing inside as was Naruto right now. What right did they have being a nonchalant pair that were more underlings then he was. He was strong and always would be! Who needed precious family heirlooms anyway the stallion retorted as he grumbled in his mind. Honestly why did he even consort with these lowlifes when he himself was a magnificent creature by the looks of it in his opinion. Flaring out his wings as his obsidian eyes narrowed he stared at Naruto feeling painful memories remaining from that damn battle.

"Heh... I'm been alone most of my life Naruto I've survived. Now I'm this... horse? What the hell am I supposed to do like this huh?! " The little b*****d was probably laughing at him right now. He was always laughing at him wasn't he? Damn you Naruto...

Sharingan scowled as he neared the stallions, a wave of painful memories flooding him. Seeing everything, he knew how the entire situation went, extreme power conflicting from both sides all in one climax. It was enough to cause the wolf serious doubt of what was reality and fiction in this lifetime. A blinding flash was all it took and here he stood. Moving closer to the stallions he regarded Sasuke and Naruto.... wait there was something else wasn't there? What was this other gaze that caused the black wolf to narrow his own precious red orbs swirled in that unmistakable design?

Sasuke looked away his face contorting to a measure of aggravation. Had he stooped so low now to re-form that damn bond he longed to sever with this bumbling idiot Sasuke wondered. He apologized making things seem in Naruto's favor greatly and this was an instant thorn in his side. He hated the fact things returned like the clouds skimming across the sky, especially this friendship that pained him like a gaping hole. What was it about Naruto anyway Sasuke pondered as his eyes bore into the younger male. He was too hyper, too impulsive, never could be to par with an Uchiha... yet he always followed after and proved himself. Someone not knowing what it was to have a family both near and dear, yet he somehow survived and excelled as equal as Sasuke himself. Never good in school, always a bumbling idiot, he gained respect through callous ways of attention. Moron. Sasuke would always think that about Naruto... annoying and childish as he was. But now in this lifetime Sasuke wondered something deeply, letting it linger like a smooth rolling wave settling from the ocean to the shoreline.

If this was indeed another lifetime, a reincarnation of things that were meant to be, did that mean this was another chance to begin a new?

Continuing to stare deeply at Naruto he felt a pang of regret which made him wince. Was the rivalry between them the undoing through all those years? That if Sasuke's family wasn't wiped from existence would he have regarded Naruto with more recognition? Such trying questions that hung with him heavily as fog right now.

Sharingan could feel the uneasiness in Sasuke's body language which made him growl. He was close to this stallion no matter he liked it or not. Power. Honestly it meant the world to Sasuke, this the wolf remembered with all he had. As the memories and emotion flowed into him he knew what he was. The closer he progressed near the winged stallion, Sharingan knew more of what was going on.

But right now this other presence that Sharingan always felt was watching him. Growling he narrowed his eyes even more then spoke, "Well well... seems not only has Sasuke had the misfortune of reliving his past, but you have the gall to escape from your prison and lead Naruto around like a lost child. Heh some things never change do they Nine tails?" He sneered with eyes gleaming in a bit of sarcasm. That presence was a thorn that would cut in his side, and he was ready to take it on openly. The other stallions would have to wait... just a little longer.

As Sasuke dstood there pondering things he felt a twitch in his withers and glanced out toward the odd feeling. Though the creature was black, he carried those unmistakable crimson eyes of the Sharingan. His eyes! That damn wolf of Naruto was correct. His eyesight had just gotten up and walked the hell off. Oh this was rich, just too damned amusing if Sasuke would have been laughing.

"Sharingan?!" he hissed with a stamp of the hoof pulling away from Naruto. So it was true....

Now Sasuke was really at a loss feeling anger set in deeply to his subconscious. But his words to Naruto were seemingly calm and unemotional, "Hmph... Naruto. Whatever happened that day changed what we were." he sighed with a flick of his tail, "But... I think its something that may of given us a second chance." His looked away again feeling awkward talking as an equal, but yet he smiled to himself.

Maybe just this once friendship was an option...

He raised an eyebrow at the slight smaller black wolf, a smirk already forming on his maw. "Ah... Sharingan," he spoke the name as with a lover's caress, but at the same time with an underlying sneer of mockery decorated delicately within his tone. He delighted in the fact he would be able to get revenge on Sharingan--well, he'd rather it be the Uchihas, as they were the carriers of that bloodline limit--but these circumstances. Aaaaah... sweet revenge. He licked his lips and grinned, a wicked gleam in his red eyes. "Aye, nothing has changed except to see that you have left your owner... Sharingan." He glanced at himself, and then looked up. "So I have. Escaped, that is. Well... perhaps not escaped. Ah, but, it seems you have come to have a mind of your own, eh, Sharingan...?" He continued to taunt the wolf, wanting to keep him away from Sasuke for just ab it longer. He felt pretty amused and for once, he finally had the upper hand on the annoyingly dreaded Sharingan that had gotten him during the great battle of Konoha, before the 4th had sealed him inside his own son.

"Geez, so what if you're a horse, I'm one, too, dammit," he complained, ignoring Sasuke's whining about being alone as well. He already knew they'd both grown up alone but Sasuke had had a family when he was younger, and Naruto had been literally alone! He had had no one; he had the 3rd's sympathy, and Iruka-sensei hadn't really come around until a much later time... he'd tried his best to ignore the painful looks as he'd walked through the village... it had been harsh living on his own, but the 3rd Hokage had seemed to know certain secrets about him--aside from Kyuubi, anyway--but Naruto had never gotten to ask... because the 3rd had died sooner than he had expected. Naruto knew that the life of shinobi, to live as long as the 3rd had, as Tsunade had, and as Jiraiya had... was a miracle in itself, really. Though he hid it behind a mask of pure optimistic belief and smiles and determination,

Naruto had truly grown up too fast for his liking... and though many considered him child-like and stupid, it was rare for any other to actually see his true self. In his own way Naruto wanted to continue blindly acting through his mask, because he knew that, if he didn't, he'd end up like Gaara... and he'd barely made it alive through that fight too... wait... he was remembering things? He felt as if he kept forgetting something extremely important, but maybe that was just him... he knew it had to do with cherry blossoms and the like, but he didn't know why. Maybe he was thinking too much into it... Ah, well. Sasuke seemed to think power was everything... he supposed it was true, power meant you could do anything you wanted, really. That's why he had wanted to be Hokage of Kohonakagure... but now it seemed that was impossible...

He blinked as he stopped sneering, concern flashing through his expression, azure eyes as he took a once over at Sasuke. Uchiha probably thought he was laughing at him, which wasn't true at all. He was just amazed and didn't exactly know how to react to an apologizing Sasuke. It was just that strange and that rare to hear the great Uchiha Sasuke apologize. The insanity of it all made Naruto realize he should be grateful that Sasuke had even said sorry at all. "H-Hey, Sasuke--" he started, and then blinked when the name Sharingan came hissing out of Sasuke's mouth. "Eh??" He turned to look, trying to discern what exactly was going on. His eyes widened seeing a black wolf, and then he stared, jaw dropping. No. Way. No. Freaking. Way. Sasuke hadn't been kidding when he said that his eyes had literally up and walked away. No kidding! That was just plain creepy!!! "T..The hell!?" he barely got out, too stunned to even think properly. Had Kyuubi known about this all along...? He stared at his partner, willing Kyuubi to have an answer for him to understand.

Sharingan had left notions of his companion behind as he glared down that unforgivable b*****d fox, err wolf that stood there taunting him. "Escaped? Yes I'd consider just how you accomplished a feat such as that one. Heh not even before could you find a way to rid yourself of that fool. At least Sasuke had sense and used me accordingly, unlike his moronic brother that sought a deeper connection to a decent to hell. Dare I wait in a sleeping state when Sasuke was a child to return the favor of making my companion go mad. I wonder really if you've done the same to Naruto-kun all those years hmm? Taunting, whispering the sweet rewards he'd receive if he uses your power." he stared down Kyuubi with as much arrogance and livid mockery as he could muster. Ebony as night the irritated wolf remembered the battle more in depth seeing Kyuubi's essence within Naruto's eyes. Of course Naruto took Kyuubi's power willingly as a last resort becuse frankly Sasuke had the upper hand over his smaller counterpart.

Sasuke heard the wolf's words as his memories shaped and formed as fast as a tornado births it's appearance within in the sky. He swung his head downward as his eyes clenched shut seeing that fight, that battle where he tried destroying Naruto. Why now was it coming back to him?! He snorted rearing upward as a loud stallion's call escaped his deep chest. Stamping furiously he saw visions that made his eyes burn with rage. "Damnit... hell not this again!" Staggering backwards he tried regaining his thoughts held deep in the grasp of madness. He stared outward after a while blinking as it faded back into a recession once more, his thoughts returning as his own soul became peaceful once again. "What in the hell..." he murmured with another shake of his head gazing back at Naruto in surprise. Why had his past memories back to the days of his youth, brother, complete hell resurfaced gazing at Sharingan like it did?

Sharingan heard the outcry looking directly at Sasuke in concern. Those memories were flooding him again. Heh not even this lifetime could save his soul from such malicious torment. Gazing back at Kyuubi he snarled initiating a sign of combat. He was power in itself without Sasuke to command him. Perhaps what Sasuke needed was closure to what really happened on that day. True none of them remembered anything past the ultimate chidori/rasengan as the void formed and faded in the flash of a blinding light. "Fight me you pathetic whelp of a born again fox. I insist since things were never settled between Naruto and Sasuke on that day. Fight me and show me your power, or are you worthless in this state as you look?" he knew Kyuubi would take an initiative and frankly he was ready for it.

Sasuke blinked watching Sharingan as the wolf's words reached his ears. It was true that his Sharingan had been reborn in that animal taking on Naruto's own companion. The eyes of crimson, the mirror wheel gaze was unmistakable to the obsidian black angeni. Right now that's all Sasuke was feeling... like a horse. Shifting his feet he returned his large wings that had extended outward in his trip through hell. He was now staring over at Sharingan and Kyuubi, but yet he still kept vigil upon Naruto as well. Hmm Naruto was sure to have witnessed that outburst on the Uchiha's part. It was uncontrollable to even one of the greatest ninja in the history of Konoha. Would this keep continuing he wondered since Sharingan resurfaced yet again? "Oi Naruto... what the hell is going on in this place?" he realized he was probably sounding like a broken record yet he didn't care either. Once again Sharingan had stood in his gaze and seemingly made the stallion ill knowing he was truly powerless, this beast he was walking as now. Frustrating as it was he couldn't handle such things. Why if Itachi were to step in front of him now what would he do without his eyes? Oh yes he stomp the ground, or bite him maybe, a good kick might even work Sasuke thought sarcastically. Then he stamped the ground, "How am I supposed to fight when I'm a damn horse?!" Pawing the ground again he shook his head violently willing this panic state to pass. Once again calmness set in and Sasuke thought rationally yet again. "Naruto... just don't go anywhere. Alright?" his eyes were still glazed over but being near Naruto kept his thoughts sane for a change. Narrowing his eyes he turned toward Kyuubi, "Saaa...he knows more about this then we do Naruto... I think you need to demand answers to why we are here....or I'll see just how well this form can handle a little persuasion". The whole idea of that creature withholding information was enough to anger him with every bated breath.

Becoming impatient he decided to ask the question personally rather then wait for Naruto to get his a** in gear. Tossing his head he took off in a solid trot toward the two canines insistent on gaining what he wanted. Even as this equine, Sasuke was still the demanding infantile child that wanted things his way or not at all. Believing his own ideals, he still couldn't see Naruto had indeed grew in his past experiences. The Uchiha on the other hand just thought himself powerful and that was all that mattered. A horrible reality that would someday kick him if he wasn't careful.

Sharingan was about to advance upon his opponent when he caught a glimpse of the black angeni heading their way. Though Sasuke had his normal eyes they seemed to be full of fury and irritation. Thankfully their gaze was directed at that no good Kyuubi other than himself. Hmm maybe this would prove interesting after all if Sasuke were the one to plummet that annoyance in the air and hopefully smack a tree. "Heh... I think you better watch your a** Kyuubi... Sasuke doesn't look happy." He did hope Naruto wasn't planning on stopping his friend from doing what he thought was right. The thought sent shivers up Sharingan' spine as he gazed over at Kyuubi with an insolent grin.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Ignoring Naruto's look, he stared down Sharingan, thinking carefully before he opened his maw. "You shouldn't ask, my dear, long time friend... For if you did, you would wish for your ears to be cut off, you mind to be cleansed ten times over with holy water... oh, yes." One could see that Kyuubi's supposed smile was more of a smirk of menace, and the fox--in the body of a wolf (well, okay a mixture of both)--continued to remain calm despite how he seemed to be causing the opposing wolf desire to shred him to pieces. "Truly, if I had done the same as you'd done to Sasuke, then Naruto would never have grown in maturity and power... unlike you, who only offered power, and nothing for which your master to learn."

His tone now ice-cold as he glowered angrily at Sharingan for insulting him, he flicked an ear when he heard hoofsteps heading towards him, and a burning sensation upon his back. So the Uchiha wanted answers, did he? Well, too bad, he thought, and suddenly made a soft howling noise. "So perhaps I have tried to persuade him to use my power, but you yourself have never known what goes on inside our minds..." he hissed softly. "Naruto always asked me for more power, and I only gave it to him when he truly wished for it. If our powers had not clashed, perhaps he and I would have... merged. Before, did I not warn you that if you hurt him, you would only wish for your own death?" he repeated the threat he had offered long ago to anyone who had happened to see him behind his golden gates that sealed him inside of his former carrier.

While he was still mulling over Sharingan--wondering why the name was familiar and why it just kept bugging him--Naruto jumped in surprise when Sasuke let out a sudden bellow of frustration and pain, and he turned concerned eyes towards his rival, unsure of what was going on. Why was the Uchiha looking at him like that? What did he do-- "Hey! I can go anywhere I please! Don't you tell me what to do, you b*****d!" he said as Sasuke turned with determination towards Kyuubi. "Hey, hey! What the hell are you doing, you...! Listen to what I'm saying, dammit!" He said, stomping after Sasuke angrily... and then froze solid as Kyuubi's howl reached his eyes. His sharp, angry gaze dulled into a soft, gentle blue, and then he stood still, almost as if he was... waiting. As Uzumaki stilled, a certain memory surfaced and played over and over in his mind... A memory that had been supressed; one that he had hated to remember. It was right after the intense battle he'd had with Gaara... this memory, as specific as it was, seemed to have the explanation behind why he and Sasuke were as they were...

Kyuubi turned, ignoring Sharingan's challenge and doing the unexpected--turning away. "You think it is us who must settle things for our masters? Pathetic," he mocked scathingly. "I will not fight another's battle, and as you only wish to prove yourself because you obviously know I am the stronger one, try again after you have gotten even more powerful--on your own. Naruto and I... seperately, we may seem weak to you, but together, I have learned that I am ever more powerful, and while Naruto had grown, as have I--stronger, more powerful. That is your goal, yes? Well, while doing so, why don't you pipe down like a smart puppy and learn how to handle yourself first...fool." He turned and marched right past the approaching Uchiha towards Naruto, who had earlier obeyed his silent command. He then turned back to smile his infamous fox smile. "But I will keep your challenge in mind, Sharingan. Now, though, Naruto and I must take our leave... I have... plans." He hopped up on Naruto's back, startling the stallion back into reality.

His dull, spaced out gaze returned to normal as he felt Kyuubi settle on his back. He sighed, and then glanced back over towards Sasuke and Sharingan. "Sasuke..." he whispered, and then glanced at Kyuubi out of the corner of his eye. The fox-turned-wolf had already fallen asleep on his back, and he heaved an even stronger sigh. "I... I think I know... why we're like this. And what happened... but... well, you can ask Sharingan that," he emphasized the black wolf's name, giving him a hard gaze that was hardly ever seen on the ever optimistic blond. "By the way..." His tone was oddly serious, instead of playful, half-mocking, and protesting like it normally was, "...Sasuke, think about what Kyuubi said. Grow up.I never thought those words would be coming out of my mouth... bet you didn't either, but there they are." He turned around, determined to finally leave. He didn't really want to leave, but he also knew if he stayed near Sasuke any longer they'd both feel a terrible pain that would never go away... they would need to leave each other alone for a while... Naruto was off to nurse his old wounds, wounds that he had thought had already healed. But then again... he knew mental scars would always bleed just a little, even if they'd already healed over.

Rein_Carnation
Sasuke skidded to a halt watching the wolf companion of Naruto's seemingly put the stallion in a trance. He pawed the ground feeling rather upset and unresolved by this treatment. "Ask Sharingan what happened? What the hell is that supposed to mean Naruto.. Oi Naruto you listening to me?!" But Naruto seemed off in his own little world eager to be rid of his old rival. Well if that's what he desired after all that Sasuke would gladly give him what he damn well wanted. Besides Sasuke was elite, he didn't need anyone. Raising his head high he stepped in the opposite direction keeping in a slow dignified walk toward Sharingan though his face shouldered sadness as it crept within him.

Grow up. That's what Naruto had told him, Sasuke pondered to himself. How dare he think he's any better than Uchiha Sasuke. He's the loser ninja from Konoha that could never out best his rival even in that final moment. How was he given credit to be so high and mighty... the lonely child that was by himself from birth. Heaven forbid Sasuke was paired with him in cell 7 with Sakura and Kakashi. Hell he even saved Naruto's life from Haku's attack. He was nothing but a big crybaby, a scaredy cat that would never be able to surpass an Uchiha. Fine! That's how he wanted it that was just fine in Sasuke's eyes. Narrowing them he stalked over to the black wolf and rumbled his voice deeply from his chest deep and full of solitude, "Tell me Sharingan. Tell me everything from what happened that day! You know as well as that wolf what the hell happened to Naruto and I! Tell me Goddammit" his voice was harsh and ill toned as he glared at the wolf remembering that power and dominance. "Tell me why the hell Naruto has gotten stronger and I haven't! If you don't I'll kick you so far you'll know what flying is for certain. And when you hit that ground shattered from the very blow, you'll know the true meaning of pain and misery! Tell me NOW... Sharingan!"

Sasuke knew deep inside Naruto was hurting as he was, but he wouldn't give that little b*****d the benefit of the doubt he was right on something. Sasuke would never, EVER, speak in a tone signaling he'd regressed back to that lonely child. Right now he demanded Sharingan lick those wounds with reason and help him recover just why they were what they were.

The wolf growled as Kyuubi brushed him off then turned to look at the lost angeni that bellowed threats and crying fits in his presence. Pitiful, that's what Sharingan thought of the now useless stallion that carried such elegant wings. An angel that had fallen from grace with the help of those mirror wheel eyes. The wolf couldn't of been more ashamed he was so dominated by the user back when they were able to be combined together. It was true... without Sharingan he was nothing.

"You do need to grow up Sasuke. You act like a spoiled child though you walk in a body of superiority. Naruto is right in that aspect... You never let go of the past with your quest for power. You stayed an emo little boy that never saw light inside that darkness. And what did I do for you hmm? I activated and let you use power that you so badly needed didn't I? Pathetic really in my opinion Sasuke!" he hissed back at the stallion. "Look at you, how upset you are right now. Feh... Perhaps I should up and leave as well if you're going to act like a spoiled brat done terribly wrong. Heh."

Sharingan made his eyes gaze deeper then usual into the spooked stallion for once having the same effect Sasuke had used on others when Sharingan was activated in the past. It was a wake up call, because right now Sasuke was worthless to him. "Face it kid... you're a loser and you always will be. Your foolishness got you this way you know. You blame everything on Itachi. You scream vengeance and frankly you annoy me." the wolf glared for a moment letting it sink into the stallion's head.

Sasuke who was litterally foaming at the mouth stopped short and blinked at Sharingan and his cruel words. He was speechless and hurt, yet he didn't retort to the wolf sinking obediently into submission as his withers were twitching. What the hell was going on with everyone in this place?

Sharingan watched the stallion settle and nodded, "Good". He leaped upward and settled upon Sasuke's back in a nice ball with nose to tail comfortable within those huge wings. "Now lets simmer down and listen rather than be such an a** you get your own way shall we?" He chuckled knowing this tortured Sasuke, but yet he knew it needed done. Sharingan would have Sasuke pursue Naruto in a bit. He just needed to get the angeni to cool his heels and become a tad more stable. "Let go for a walk...we'll go after Naruto after we discuss things."

Sasuke still feeling tranced by that cruelness made a face of disgust and began walking off slowly, his silken tail brushing his legs in smooth wispy noises. He was confused feeling the world was against him. Hell, he even had apologized and it wasn't good enough. What the hell was going on with everyone in this place? Why was he the antagonist that they finally found each other. A cruel heartless b*****d that only thought for himself was the reaction he was facing right now. Have I really been naive all those years? No. I've been who I've always been; an Uchiha. What was that anyway? An elite clan... yeah he knew that already. But who was he really? So many questions that lingered like sunken hopeless pieces within him. Closing his eyes as he walked along he let himself calm and listen to the wolf. It was comforting right now to have someone at least show some sort of compassion.

Sharingan felt the tenseness beneath him simmer, and he was thankful. Yawning he licked his paw still throbbing from that thorn he had embedded earlier that day, "Sasuke. I don't know everything to a full extent... but i do know one thing. When you and Naruto had collided you created some sort of a vortex between yourselves. The last thing I remember seeing through you was blackness and felt pain for intense than anything I've ever encountered. The power between you two was too intense and thusly you wiped yourselves out of existence."

Sasuke looked blankly ahead feeling his whole world crash around him. "Naruto and I died? But why did we come back... and like this? I don't understand...". He gritted his teeth trying to remember, when only the void was surfacing. The final clash were he thought he had severed that bond permanently. Why was he doing that again anyway he wondered. What was the goal to completely alleviate oneself from someone that was his closest friend? That answer lied blank within him as his wings shifted nonchalantly.

Sharingan looked at Sasuke once again narrowing his eyes and the stallion stopped. "You know now more then you did if its even that much. So stop being such a pansy a** child and go after Naruto with a clearer head. You've been given another chance so use that knowledge willingly. I'm not saying just let Naruto seem more powerful. I'm saying take things in stride and use what you have. You're a fallen angel Sasuke rather you want to face it or not. Your opinions and views will never change. But for once you can just listen and use things to your advantage. Besides... I have a score to settle with that damn Kyuubi....".

Sasuke turned in mid stride in a daze back the way they'd come. Sharingan had literally torn a hole through his ego. He wouldn't let Naruto go away that easily if he had his own way that was. Even if it was the most annoying creature besides those from his past, it still was closure in a world that seemed against you. Seeing Naruto off in the distance he walked slowly with a deliberate notion toward his goal.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
It had pained Naruto just as Sasuke more than likely suspected, and a stronger, deeper level than he would have even admitted, if one asked him. Uzumaki twitched his ears every once in a while, obviously straining to hear if the Uchiha would chase after him, just like in the past when he, Naruto, had first chased after Sasuke. “Kyuubi,” he started, and then fell silent. Contemplating. Thinking. Many Konoha ninja wouldn’t believe that he actually thought about things, seeing as the entire village thought he was stupid, loud, and annoying, but—again—that was his way of getting attention, because otherwise he was always ignored, glared at, or had rocks thrown at him. Despite how he had made friends, he had had to work hard in order to gain those friends, and nearly all of them had been enemies of his from since before. He grimaced as he thought about her—Haruno Sakura—and tried to figure out why and how he had ever had a crush on such a cruel girl. She had never liked him to begin with, and always hated him…because it seemed like Sasuke did, but Sasuke didn’t hate him. At least, he didn’t think Uchiha hated him, but after what he had just said, Sasuke probably did hate him now.

He sighed. He hated this. This…thinking. It made him depressed, sad, and angry… Kyuubi was muttering curses under his breath while lazing on his back, but by now Naruto had stopped walking as he got lost in his thoughts. Suddenly, he missed Konoha—terribly missed it. Kakashi… where was he? Tsunade, Jiraiya, Neji, Gaara, Kiba, Shikamaru… everyone, really. He missed them. But right now, the only others he knew that had even a remote connection to his past was behind him, probably plotting to kill him… again. He sighed. This time he deserved it; he felt that way, because he had spoken sharply with Sasuke earlier. Why? Why could he just keep his mouth shut? But he couldn’t help it, he decided. Sasuke did need to see reality… and the words from him rival should have helped him to see at least a little bit of it. The only thing that made him happy, was that Naruto had stopped Sasuke from getting to Orochimaru. But then, being in these forms… “Hey, Kyuubi? Did… Did Sasuke and I… kill each other?”

The fox-turned-wolf’s ear twitched when Naruto called his name, and then was surprised at the question. “Didn’t I already say? Yes, you both killed each other. This is our afterlife… or rather, a second chance, if you will. Why? Don’t tell me you’re not going to use this chance to start over with Uchiha, Naruto. Much as I hate it…” he mumbled the last part, but despite not saying it, he did care for Naruto, and considered the blond former shinobi as his kit. “However, you came back without wings, which means that, though you died in your human life you got another chance at a different kind of life… of course, for all we know you could just be a reincarnation of your former self, since you only have certain memories… but you’re possibly still Uzumaki Naruto, as well, just… in the form of a horse.” He smirked to himself, enjoying this ideal way of life readily. Not only did he also get a chance to relieve his boredom of being sealed up for a long time, but the Uchiha’s pride and joy of “power” that was Sharingan had somehow left Sasuke, and was now in the body of a wolf with a mind of its own. It was fascinating, really, to see a bloodline limit walking and talking—well, sort of walking and talking, depending on how one saw it—making Kyuubi wonder what kind of humor the gods had. He flicked an ear, feeling a gnat try to bite it. “Anyway, Naruto, why did you stop? I want to get away from those two for a bit, get to know this place, you know?”

He couldn’t believe it; he and Sasuke really had killed each other? “You didn’t say so before, but from what Sharingan was saying it was obvious, I just wanted… an affirmation.” Most of the ninja in Konoha would have looked at Naruto strangely seeing as he used a “big” word… but again, he wasn’t stupid. He only acted that way. In fact, Naruto reasoned bemusedly, if people had been paying attention he was a battle genius. Of course, when it came to academics the only thing he was good at was calligraphy… surprisingly enough, right? But he had always been artistic, and sometimes he wondered if it had to do with Kyuubi’s influence half the time, which probably it did, but that didn’t matter. Right now, the only thing that mattered was that he finally had a chance to be acknowledged by the one person—er, horse, in this case—that he felt had never acknowledged him, and he wasn’t going to let this chance slip by. However, at Kyuubi’s urging, he started to move again—but mainly because he was never one to sit or stand still for long.

He opened his eyes to observe the scenery around him, amused, in truth, with the entire situation. Actually, he doubted even Sharingan knew what exactly had taken place, but he let the other three figure out that it had something to do with that "devastating" battle both Naruto and Sasuke had gone through before the final clash of chakra. He nearly cackled to himself aloud, but manage to remain silent and merely laughed silently. This... was far too amusing. Ah... he, of course, couldn't help but to pick on the stallions, seeing as they had been human before, but on the truthful side, neither of them had... died, per se, as humans. Kyuubi had a malicious smirk on his face as he thought about it, knowing exactly what had truly taken place. But, seeing as he wanted to torture everyone to satisfy his undying thirst for messing around with others' minds, he let them think they had killed each other. Ah, fun, fun... so much fun. He remained quiet as he allowed Naruto to wander around, lost in his own thoughts, but kept an eye on the approaching Uchiha, trying to fight down the snarl that was slowly rising up his throat.

He was walking away? Oh hell no thought the Uchiha prodigy; the last of his clan. He was angry, confused, and lonely? What the hell was wrong with him Sasuke wondered. He left Konoha, left his friends behind to try and find that snake, that disgusting repulsive liar that wished him sweet things. Revenge. Yes against his brother and everyone that had ever done him wrong. But... Uzumaki... Naruto was there on that day. That fateful reunion that made his mind scream as his mouth frothed with distaste. He severed them! Damnit he severed those god forsaken bonds of friendship and everything dealing with Konoha. He wanted nothing to do with it, with him. Dear God he was losing it wasn't he? Sasuke was losing it, for good this time. Screw this and everything with it! He was fed up of that little b*****d always chasing him and then running off. If he really wanted to catch the Uchiha, it was going to take more than his piss poor childish ninja games. Someone that knew nothing of family, growing up alone and frighted, clung onto life better than the last remaining clan member did. This was complete bullshit that he was... what really? Skidding to a halt he nearly knocked Sharingan for a loop as the wolf careened head first into the nearest bush yelping all the way.

Tossing his head he released a stallion's call before thrusting his back legs strongly into the earth as he pushed upward into the sky. If the little b*****d thought he could out run one of the best ninjas around, he had another thing coming to him. This game of his was reverse in the other life, meaning it was now Sasuke that chased after the blonde ninja to stop him from leaving. As his wings powered him higher he gained more ground in powerful wing beats that pushed him further to his goal. His deep set eyes shimmering in black laid carefully upon that menace that rode the stallion's back. He was the cause for all this, even Sharingan knew less than that forcible annoyance that controlled Naruto like what? A damn marionette that still had no brains save for the puppet master that controlled him. Sharingan seemed to have that effect if eyes met upon his, but Sasuke was satified knowing that the black wolf was more so a foliage addition as he cursed and howled upward in a pitiful attempt to sway the Uchiha from his goal.

Sharingan never felt the impact of the collision into the brush as his body fought to regain footing. Yelping outloud he blinked and shook his head screaming, "Sasuke! Damn it what have you..." He blinked noticing that horse had taken to the skies again, begining to loose his memories of who he was and why he was there. Red crimson mirror wheel eyes gazing in confusion as he padded wayward out into the open. Where was he anyway? This place smelled different and odd to him. Was he hungry perhaps? That always was a damper on things when you were trying to think. Maybe that's what he'd do... find nourishment to help him remember. Looking around he spied a rabbit wagging his tail happily. "Hee hee," he chuckled as his eyes narrowed on the prey, "din din." Happily in his wolf form he charged after the rabbit with a snarl as he unknowingly headed back toward Naruto and Kyuubi.

Sasuke was feeling a bit dizzy all of a sudden, like bonds were severed from something that was close to him. Trying to find logic in his feelings he raced onward still keeping in check with Naruto and Kyuubi. They were getting closer now as his head swerved, looking downward at them. Thrusting himself forward he wished desperately his ninjutsu still worked right now. But as a horse it was kind of hard to make the signs essential for anything really. Oh screw it! He folded his wings toward him racing downward to Naruto, his eyes gleaming with happiness yet his mind screamed to b***h the brat out. Giving one last push of his wings with a powerful hind kick, he descended toward the two travelers keeping his gaze upon the blonde stallion that made his head rage with pain.. and something else.

Sharingan yapped quite amused as the rabbit darted this way and that feeling his mind broaden. Images were slamming into his subconcious so damn fast he felt as if he had fallen. While in his pursuit he caught sight of the winged ebony stallion and remembered who he was once more. "There you are! Huh? What the heck was I...." he blinked skidding to a halt, his eyes being confused and scattered. The rabbit took the idea and ran with it ducking down behind some bushes.

Sasuke landed in a powerful stomp in front of Naruto and Kyuubi snorting as his very chest and lungs heaved with his exhilaration of flying there so fast. Regaining his breath he glared at the two of them with irritation and hate. Why was he always feeling so miserable, yet he chased after someone he still called friend back in Konoha. Why was this so difficult to handle and know what was going on. He wanted to kick the stallion, the blonde idiot that helped him reach his death, but he merely closed his eyes and spoke a bit later. The malice, betrayal, hate was washing away as those cerulean orbs caught within his. "Naruto...I...." What was he to say? He apologized once already didn't he? What more was he to do to lower his reputation to keep that jerk from leaving for good.

Sharingan ran up toward the three with narrowed eyes, "Sasuke... you SOB what the hell were you thinking? Flying off like some crazed giant bird while I was thrown into the damn bushes like a ragdoll?! I don't find it very comforting you duck feathered butt of a stallion!" Still feeling the pain seethe in his shoulder he glared at the tall angeni wanting to curse him, make him pay for all this crap.

Sasuke rolled his eyes feeling the stress lessen on him, "Shut it Sharingan! You sit and lecture me on how I need to grow up didn't you, " he snorted with a toss of his head while stomping a hoof, "Well I have news for you a*****e. Its you that needs to grow the hell up! You're a wolf... a damn dog right now. You left my eyes for your own preservation, deal with it!?"

Taking a deep breath he turned back to Naruto his breath ragged and frayed, "Naruto... I'm sorry. I know it doesn't sound like me. Hell I don't think it does, but I am. I'm sorry you had to chase me toward Orochimaru. That battle was my own foolish grandeur of accomplishment. I was to kill you for my brother's own happiness, a whim was sitting within my mind to destroy you. But, I couldn't bring that b*****d joy through me gaining power. I let you live... I lived... yet we're not ourselves or are we? That wolf, my eyes say we died... but I just wonder what really happened to us." He stood with lowered eyes feeling weakness set in, "Don't make me chase after you... the way you chased after me... dobe."

Closing his eyes again he felt a bit of relief letting his words out. He had kept the bit about his brother secret from Naruto. At that time he felt it was his problem, a challenge he had only for himself. The avenger that sought power even if he had to taste the devil's fruit. Now he was still a Avenger, but things were different here. Hell the odd thing that bothered him was the fact he was dressed in his Chuunin outfit from Konoha. He was certain that the blue one was placed upon his figure when he fought Naruto in that battle. What the hell was happening to the both of them?

Sharingan shrank down with a fury that seared within him. His mirror wheel eyes upon that b*****d fox, he grinned almost devilishly. Leaping upward toward Naruto's back with teeth and claws bared, he made an impact rolling Kyyubi off the blonde stallion dressed in orange. Biting and snapping he initiated a fight rather that fox willed one or not. He hated Kyuubi more than this life he was leading. With every bite he tried to land, he assured himself this nightmare would finally end.

Blue eyes widened in surprise as Sasuke appeared--literally!--out of nowhere, landing smack right in front of him, blocking him from going any further (it didn't occur to Naruto that he could always just walk around, but he had been surprised). His eyes narrowed slightly as he stared at Sasuke, wondering what exactly the Uchiha was planning. The only thing that shocked him even more was how Sasuke said not to make him chase him, Naruto, down. "What the hell, b*****d..." he whispered. "...Make you chase me down? You couldn't even begin to know that painful kind of experience... no... you probably do..."

He fell quiet then, listening to Sasuke as he talked about what he had been thinking of. "We're not ourselves? No s**t, Sasuke," he laughed, a dry laugh, but he was slowly warming up to the dark-haired stallion. "But look... even in this life, why are you better than me still? It makes no sense, right." He looked down. "Died, huh? I don't think we died... you're right." He smiled softly. "Kyuubi knows what really happened, but I think he just doesn't like you..." The fox-wolf shifted on his back, and he felt an urge to just buck and throw the fox-wolf off of him, instead, he rolled his eyes knowingly at Sasuke. "If you can get Kyuubi to open his maw, be my guest."

The bit of information about Itachi only slightly surprised Naruto. He didn't know much about what having a family was like--in which there were times when Sasuke never failed to inform him--and after trying to explain to Sasuke that he felt that the Uchiha was like his brother (although... now he wasn't exactly sure... he couldn't tell, because he didn't know what it was like to have a brother...), Naruto didn't feel the slightest bit happy with Sasuke's behavior. If Naruto was called a child because of his antics, then Sasuke once again had beaten him in that display, because, Naruto figured, he actually was a lot more mature than Sasuke... but only in some ways.

The "fox-wolf" smirked at Sasuke, his sharpened teeth glistening in the afternoon sunlight, demonic red eyes staring out at the fallen angeni. "Pry open my maw, is it? Naruto, you are so cruel..." Kyuubi loved to toy with these two; it was so amusing, but he also wanted to make sure Sasuke would not end up killing Naruto (the Uchiha clan were so troublesome... oi...). He swished his single tail back and forth, displaying his amusement, knowing it was driving the Uchiha (and Naruto) up a tree (heheheh, he snickered, driving the Uchiha up a tree like a pathetic canary was already hilarious just thinking on it).

The other part that amused Kyuubi to no end was how Sasuke snapped at Sharingan, which, in some weird, twisted, sick way of Lady Fate humor, was able have it's own body--in the form of a wolf, or, as Sasuke said, a puppy--and Sharingan was very close to attacking either Uchiha or Kyuubi himself. He almost snorted at the image of it all. There ought to be something that happened for this kind of situation to occur... Kyuubi knew the reason behind what happened to them, but he did not, however, know the actual reason behind the occurance. He watched both Sharingan and Sasuke, officially clamping his jaws shut tight, knowing it was driving all of them insane he knew a few things they didn't.

Suddenly, the black wolf started trying to attack him, and while Sharingan had started the fight... Kyuubi saw no reason to find against uselessness. Sharingan was powerless without Sasuke, and therefore wouldn't know a damn thing if Sasuke wasn't nearby. He smirked evilly at the other wolf, determined to mock the bloodline of the Uchihas for his old humiliation from a decade ago, give or take a few days... or weeks.

Unbeknownst to the group, a figure shifted silently within the shadows not too far away from them, never rustling a leaf or petal, breathing so softly and silently it was like the wind. Scarlet eyes glowed gently as they determined their prey, carefully analyzing which to kill, to torture, to do their bidding. Silver-white fangs that were supposed to be stained red with blood from many past hunts glistened gleefully as a slow smirk crawled its way up a black-furred face.

Windflame Bloodrider, a creature of pure mystery aside from the fact he was a demon Soquili--a Kalona--had arrived... his hunt ended, the chase soon to begin. Those who knew him could never tell whether to be frightened or to be acquainted, for Windflame never killed without a reason... even if his reasoning would soon be twisted in ways that went beyond good sense. But... whoever said Windflame was sane? Certainly not his children, or even his former mate.

The raven angeni watched the blond's reaction as he always had a snide little comment or remark to place a bit of icing on the sour cake. Sasuke couldn't understand why he was chasing after this naive shinobi, he just knew he had to for some reason under the sun. Ever since they initiated that final battle, it was clear to him something was left undone, unsaid that lingered in his mind. But as misfortune would have it the Uchiha was blank and clueless to the pondering that literally were gnawing him senseless.

Words. Simple sediments that drifted like never ending voyages ships partook in unknowingly leaving their worlds behind. Floating there gazing on one he called friend; his closest friend. He wanted to speak but the blackness painted a canvas around him and he was lost forever...

Standing there in a solid form looking cross and irritated Naruto wasn't seeing his point. Moron. "How the hell am I supposed to know why I'm better! You think I like looking like some horse with big wings? You think I like grazing on grass and stomping about on hooves instead of sandals?" he grumbled stamping down a hoof in irritation at Uzumaki, "For God's sake Naru stop comparing us and live with what you are. I don't like this anymore than you do... but you know what we're both stuck here as these creatures dealing with two asinine canines that will soon be squabbling on the ground like a bunch of mongrels." He turned his head to lay a glimpse over at the two wolves then turned back to the other stallion. "I'm not leaving moron and neither are you...." Baring his head forward he butted the other with a gleam in those obsidian eyes. "I'll get that damned answer out of that b*****d you kept within you all that time. Even if I have to stomp the crap out of him we'll know why we're like this". He turned again to face the wolves ready to kick both of them.

Sharingan let Sasuke fade from his mind trying to read the other wolf-fox's actions. He was irritated and frankly pissed off that that sorry son of a b***h was treating him like a backward shadow of the Uchihas. He was a proud wolf and there was no way in hell he'd stand for Kyuubi's antics. "Fight me cur! Or are you too good to fight the power of the Uchiha.. tch b*****d. I bet you don't even know the sublte truth to why we are here!" He'd miscalculated his jump apparently for that asinine mutt was still positioned upon Naru's back like a little derby rider. If he wanted mind games what more was the proud Sharingan to happily screw him over with his own shenanigans.

Sasuke looked over at Kyuubi his eyes narrowing. "You will tell us you b*****d. You can't keep it hidden forever. If I was dead I'd desire no food nor drink. The same goes for Naruto! You think you are coy and clever yet you like the rest of us have no power and are nothing more than a lying creature out to screw us all over. Well I have news for you b*****d. I'm not leaving... Naruto isn't either. We're all going to stay here to you deliver what we need to know. And if you don't willingly give that information... I'll see personally that your hide gets hung on a damn tree! I may not have my Katon Gokakyo no Jutsu or, "he paused to look downward at the black snarling wolf, "Sharingan... But I do have strength in these legs and I will use them if I have to bash some attention into that dwarf little skull of yours!" He snorted as his strong hooves pawed the ground, an echo of the weight as it dug deep within the dirt. He was fed up with everything and wanted to know the answer.

The atmosphere was drawing another out to stand and observe this little shouting match, interest peaking in the vicious creature's eyes. She had been tracking the raven angeni for sometime now after he so ignorantly intervened with her plans on a payback to a certain mare. Most of the decedents in this land disgusted her... but oh how easy they were to manipulate and twist to her own fetish desire. Swishing her tail back and forth she listened with keen ears in amusement to the whole little novel unveiling itself to her.

Cynder desired to meet this little party, though she knew bounding out like a typical soquili wasn't her cup of tea. Today she longed for a different approach, one filled with malice and cunning on her part. Grinning her maw opened widely unearthing a small pointed fang that gleamed with the sun's light. It would be interesting indeed.

But there was something else...

Seemed she wasn't alone in this vigil. Another of her race stood not too far off, a stallion filled with as much evil as she herself was. For a moment she pondered a word with this male, but yet she knew demon Kalona weren't that popular to interact with. Not like that hatchling she favored anyway. Feh... all males were hatchlings to the proud dragon demon Cynder. None could compare to her beauty nor skill in her eyes as she licked her lipis in wonderment. While she fancied a romp with the raven and blond haired males, her interest of the larger kalona male was becoming more adept and bolder. Perhaps he as well was seeking to attack those childish horses, that could pose a problem to her. She desired to fight the raven with wings that hung heavier than most of those winged varities she had run across. No. if he was planning an attack on the raven she would have to take care of that problem. Once her eyes and taste was set upon prey, Cynder never backed down unless odds were completely out of her favor.

Naruto watched as Sasuke literally threw a miniature tantrum and had to bite the inside of his cheek in order to keep from laughing. That was certainly a sight anyone in Konoha would probably think incredibly at odds with Sasuke's usual stoic personality. "Sasuke, don't call me Naru like you know me that well," he finally said, an ear twitching. "We might be close "friends" but I remember something along the lines of an Uchiha who wanted to sever those bonds," he sneered, and then relaxed his expression. "Ah, what the hell; I don't give a crap anymore. Do what you want. I figured, since you're an Uchiha you'd probably know why you were born better than me, but we'll see about that, now won't we?" he smirked, a challenging tone in his voice.

And then Sasuke butted him gently, surprising him, and then spoke some nonsense about neither of them leaving until Uchiha wrestled information from Kyuubi. He couldn't help it, he just had comment on it, just to see Sasuke's reaction. "Oh, we're not leaving? Geez, Sasuke, I know you want me but I didn't think it was that bad." He put on a look of mock despair. "All this time, the whole village of Konoha rejected me and now I find someone who wants me? Geez, Sasuke, why didn't you say so sooner?" He implied heavily as he moved to nibble on Sasuke's hair slightly. How will he react? he wondered, and then pulled away slowly, making sure his breath was even and that he was at least a good three feet away in distance--not too far, but not too close, either.

He barely managed to hide his smirk and only look solemnly at Sasuke, mentally preparing himself. "Calm down, Sasuke, I promise not to move from this spot," he assured as an afterthought. "Besides, Kyuubi doesn't seem to be willing to open his maw about what's going on anyway..." He blinked as he realized he had had a slight sense of deja vu. "Eh..." he mumbled to himself, and then watche as Kyuubi was threatened.

He smiled lazily at Sharingan, silently taunting the crazed-eyed wolf as he half-listened to Naruto's conversation with Sasuke, and was thrown off balance for a moment not only by Sharingan's sudden attack but also by Naruto's sudden movement... What the hell? Is Naruto... His eyes widened. He IS... He's completely trying to seduce the Uchiha. What in the name of the four gods...!?

While this surprised Kyuubi, he also was mildly annoyed that Naruto just now realized what was wrong with Sasuke. He slowly turned his attention back to Sharingan, who was growling and snarling and every bit ready for a good scuffle... as well as looking like a puppy who wanted to get his way but wasn't getting it at all. He then returned his attention back to the Uchiha. "I will not tell you... so suck it up, Uchiha," he sneered, half smirking and half laughing at both of them--the miserable duo Sasuke and Sharingan. "Naruto, please tell me you can knock some sense into Sasuke?"

Not that Naruto would listen to him, but that didn't matter. He knew Naruto well enough by now that the blond was incredibly curious. Ah... but he was more interested in why Naruto suddenly started to seduce the Uchiha... things were starting to get pretty interesting around here...

He stiffened as he felt the presense of a female kalona enter the area, although the group of creatures he was watching gave no heed to the sudden danger that slowly encircled them. He did not move from his spot, only moving his head to observe the demonic mare that entered the fray, somewhat angering him. He had found this prey first--they were his to do as he wanted, the mare had better learn her place. His lips lifted in a silent snarl of warning, but then he swiftly focused his attention on the sudden movement caused by one of the stallions.

He narrowed his eyes as he calculated the distance--walking, running, chasing--and figured that he could at least let one of the stallions go to the mare, as he planned to take down at least one of the stallions in the hopes of getting an actual meal. Windflame hadn't had decent meat for a long time, and his daughter, Blackfire, had thoroughly vanished. This irritated him as Blackfire could be used to lure in his prey, but she had somehow escaped him and was either in hiding or gathering forces... either way, he did not care at the moment, and proceeded to figure out which was the best to take out... Perhaps I should remove the obstacle that is the mare--she will be bothersome, head-strong most likely...

Blood-stained eyes glistened for a moment, the anticipation of the hunt pumping his veins, his breath shorten excitedly, his world narrowing only into the world of the hunter... but not yet, not yet. He did pride himself on control and patience, and now was a good time to continue observing carefully...

He was two steps no make that three from grabbing that little pompous a** wolf and shaking the living hell out of him till his teeth rattled. Secrets always secrets and still he taunted and jeered at the fact Sasuke was... useless? Powerless? Just what was it that laughing cynical demon was having so much fun gleeing about the raven haired male pondered. He was ready to advance forward then the blond caught his attention, more so made him loose that current train of thought he was harboring.

"What the.. Naruto?" he looked at the other with an expression of pure shock, "Have you lost it or something moron. What do you take me for anyway?" He was confused at that moment letting his mind wander away like a passing cloud... then he saw it again. Though this time he was fully remembering what his last little acid trip of a vision was trying to tell him.

~The blond was leaning in closer by the minute, evaluating when he shouldn't of been. What the hell was his problem the raven wanted to know as his eyes finally caught with the other. Those lightning vibes how they channeled back and forth from each other, too much to bear really. Just how close was the blond going to get anyway the raven was contemplating while never dropping his gaze. Then the unthinkable happened and the raven nearly freaked out. Their lips were locked as each stared back, eyes wide with confusion and shock. It nearly took a minute before they both pulled away to gag and cough of such a violation. The raven was ready to kill him, the blond who caused this damn mess in the first place...

Sasuke blinked for a moment as the vision faded away from his screaming mind. Black obsidian orbs were still locked on the other's not knowing what else to say or do. Back then, in the other time it was so wrong, but yet now looking at the blond stallion he felt...

What the hell was wrong with him, the raven angeni wanted to know so badly. First the visions then this feeling? Something was just screwed up and displaced within the stallion's own thoughts. Like Itachi they were betraying him to make the raven feel something else. No he wouldn't accept this. Any of it really... besides Naruto was probably just screwing with his damn head anyways.

He tossed his head with a bit of arrogance, "Kyuubi I will get that information out of you one way or another. You brainwash Naruto! You make him think things... God I don't want to repeat it! I'll tear you apart you teme wolf you!" Still his mind was saying things that were unsettling and yet he refused to even ponder the truth in everything.

Sharingan was getting so irritated he spat blood upon the ground from biting his tongue so hard. Kyuubi was simply playing the fool of him and Sasuke. Enough was enough already he pondered as his eyes narrowed toward the fiery wolf. No, there were other ways then causing a scuffle and making a complete a** out of yourself.

His thoughts though were highly distracted when he too heard Naruto "seduce" the Uchiha. Lower maw dropping ever so slowly he blinked those deep red eyes back at the blond stallion. "He's not serious... OMG... Sasuke you..." What in the hell was happening anyway the black wolf was thinking. His head then turned calmly toward the other wolf. Yes that was what it was... Kyuubi was creating delusions in both their heads...

Cynder was plainly entranced to watch the other rather then the quarreling company of two wolves and two horses. This male was observing her, this she could sense will all out irritation. So, it was truth afterall that this creature formed of the same race was seeking prey from the same respective opportunity as she was. Definitely a mistake in itself to try and trifle with Cynder, for she herself wasn't some freshly born hatchling roaming from the safety of her shell. No, she was a dedicated hunter to her cause and stood firm till an opening would give her leadway to strike down her raven haired winged prey. Narrowing her eyes she puffed a tiny bit of smoke from her nostrils that smelled remotely of charred brimstone and bad intention.

He pouted cutely at Sasuke, secretly amused to see a shocked expression on the normally stoic Uchiha's face. Moving away, he ignored the question just as he had a momentary lapse of a sudden, strange memory.

He had gotten up to glare at the damned Uchiha who had always taken the spotlight. Even when they were younger, Sasuke had always had everyone's eyes on him. It wasn't fair! So he had scooted up to see just what was so great about this guy, and then...! What the!? ran through his mind as he realized... his... first... kiss... NO WAY!!! He pulled away...

Naruto shook his head, wondering what in the name of the heavens was that memory all about. What... just happened? he thought to himself, and then he finally answered Sasuke's question. "A stupid, arrogant jerk who thinks he's always better than me, that's what I think of you, Uchiha," he snapped, and then sighed. "No wonder Kyuubi thinks you're useless, Sasuke! ...Just kidding. I know how that feels; more than you know," he muttered, glaring fiercely at the fox-turned-wolf, actually causing Kyuubi to shrink back slightly. "Damned fox, you made my life miserable, Kyuubi!" he snarled, looking more terrifying suddenly.

But just as his mood switched from teasing to exasperated to anger, again it changed to a cheerful mood, amused that Sasuke thought Kyuubi brainwashed him. In some ways, Kyuubi probably did, but then again, Naruto didn't really care, either. It was time to just go with the flow... seriously. It was then he realized Sasuke was staring right into his eyes with a most unusual expression. Perplexed, he stared right back, thinking it was a contest and determined to win.

He soon smirked in triumph when Sasuke turned away, only to trip on his own hooves slightly when he realized why Sasuke had turned away. He groaned, annoyed, and glared at Kyuubi until Sasuke mentioned something about making him, Naruto, think things. "WHAT!? Teme, that damn fox doesn't control my thoughts!" He headbutted Sasuke fiercely, violently angry. "I do things my own way without that stupid demon! Don't you ever think otherwise, you spoiled, arrogant, son of a teme JERK!"

Why the hell do I sound like a frikkin' girl!? Naruto screamed in his mind, as he panted as he glowered angrily at the Uchiha. "Damn you, Sasuke, and just when I was really starting to like you! Kyuubi, let's go!" With those words, Naruto turned with a strong, earthshaking stomp as he stalked away to a place he didn't even know. He just knew that he had to get away; somehow, though, he felt that if he left now, his chance to make amends with Sasuke would disappear...

No.

He had to leave. It was the only way to get Sasuke to clear his stupid head. Stupid Sasuke. Stupid Kyuubi. Stupid... stupid... stupid... The word rang in his head relentlessly as he suddenly began to recall miserable flashbacks of a time he barely remembered, each memory wounding his heart more and more... Was he to continue suffering like this forever...?

He had certainly shrank back at the death glare Naruto had given him, which had promised a punishment he was powerless to stop this time around, considering Kyuubi had had to stop Naruto from trying suicide in the past, until Iruka found out. Thankfully. Kyuubi knew he, too, would have died, if Naruto had succeeded in his wish to kill himself. Uzumaki had had a miserable childhood, always putting up a stupid, goofy front when he suffered so terribly behind that annoying cheerful mask!

It was then he noticed that his master's rival's "pet" attain the most hilarious expression in his life so far as a wolf. He couldn't help it. He snickered. He chuckled. He laughed. Sharingan's expression was priceless! But when Sharingan turned towards him, he stopped and stared. "Oh no you don't. I didn't do a single to make Naruto act that way. That was all his own, fortunately." Kyuubi smiled a devil's smile.

He jumped in surprise when Naruto suddenly commanded him to leave, and off he went, dashing to keep up with Naruto's sudden rampaging page. "What in the name of all ninjas has got you so fired up!?" he demanded, knowing he wouldn't get an answer even if he kept asking.

The mare obviously thought the arguing group of prey were hers, but he would show her just how powerful and dangerous it was to cross a male Kalona in the middle of a serious hunt. It had been a long time since he had hunted skilled prey, but now a mare decided to get in his way. Windflame continued to watch her, to see what move she would make. It was obvious he had caught her attenion from the way she stared, and he didn't think it was because of his looks, either. He raised an unafraid eyebrow at her show of warning, and then looked away to find the prey leaving. Growling under his breath about annoying females and their intrusions, he swiftly turned back to the shadows, vanishing instantly and without a sound. His prey had moved on, and he did not feel up to having to fighting a dim-witted Kalona female at the moment. He would have to find new prey without other hunters around.

"Bullshit, "he spat on the ground at Kyuubi's interjection of saying he wasn't controlling to say the least. That was an indirect lie and Sasuke knew it with a deep hatred. That demon had always controlled that knucklehead ever since he was born. Those interludes of power, bursts of arrogance were all that Fox's doing in the long run. b*****d. Imbecile. Totally useless just like.. like Sharingan. Damnit why was life so damned frustrating.

And he was leaving? No damnit no! He refused to let Naruto walk, flee, escape out of his life again. The first time it had been Sasuke that had done this routine- an insane search for power to destroy his nightmare from the past. But it never happened did it he groaned, no he was swept here as a reincarnation of a dumbfounded horse to fix what was broken in the past. No Itachi, no Orochimaru or any threats... just him, Shar, Naru, and Kyu were in existence. And that's how it should be.. well him and Naru, right?

Taking to a gallop he moved swiftly bringing himself to face Naruto with an angered gaze, "Why do you always run damnit? I'm not going to keep trailing you when you decide to go off on a solitary trip like you do." he snorted pawing the ground, "Listen a sec. We're here, we're alive, and I want to resolve things." He shook his great head as his wings furrowed outward toward the blonde, eyes deeply set upon those shining miserable blue ones. "I propose a truce you and I. None of this fighting anymore because frankly what's the point. All we're going to do is stand around and say who is stronger.. I don't care about that right now. I want to train again with you damnit like it was before. I don't know what its going to take to get it past your bodyguard there but I'm saying the truth and I mean it. I hope you'll consider but if not then I'll go...away."

He glared at the orange wolf wondering if would interfere in this decision which he was gauging Naruto could answer him just fine. Whatever the blonde's decision that would be the outcome. "Well I'll say this... if I see you at that taller willow tree by the next sunrise.. I'll know what your answer is." He snorted flexing his wings, "Yo Dobe Sharingan.. coming?"

Sharingan was perplexed but didn't question Uchiha's decision either. He just glared at both Naruto and Kyuubi like they were parasites before he launched himself on the angeni's back. The wolf wasn't into the flying bit, but it was a quick way to get places. He just pondered someday if he'd fall off that structured back someday. Whatever... he'd deal with it if it ever happened.

"Yeah yeah... I bet he won't show though. His little wolfie there has a leash so discreetly choked around his neck its a wonder that blond can breathe. Later you two... and Naruto.. try not to keep Sasuke waiting alright.. a sad Uchiha is worse than a sad Uzumaki kheh kheh kheh..."

Sasuke nodded as the wolf settled staring deeply into Naruto's eyes, an almost longing for his friend to finally listen to reason. Reason was never Sasuke's forte but this was a new life with a new outlook. Snorting he broke the gaze and sprang from the ground in a furrow of black feathers. He was determined to think Naruto was listening and also his scent of that b***h was too much to bear right now. She'd followed him from the Hsien incident.

"Naruto... get out of there.. now. If you value your life you'll consider what I've said. Dobe you better consider or I..." Climbing higher he pulled into a cloud and was gone leaving a single perfect feather to spiral down toward Naruto and land on tip of his muzzle.

Cynder hissed to herself glaring at the male as the prey moved onward. The angeni did he read her movements she wondered as her tail swayed back and forth uneasily. No it wasn't that... there was something else. He was good at reading things but he also knew her scent for some reason. The way he sidestepped her flame was proof.

"You there Kalona. I'm not in the mood to fight you since my black winged prey has decided to take flight. The blond is yours if you wish... but the black bird is mine." she hissed puffing more smoke from her nose. There would be plenty of opportunities to deal with this kalona and Sasuke, but for now she felt a go round with Spyro coming since he was up to no good lately. Something was gnawing at her about his actions which she had no idea what. Turning away from the scene she walked slowly pondering her revenge and future, though both would never be clear as long as she was unsure what they held for her.
