Nah. The way it works is that:
"To graduate/pass on to the next grade, one needs to have at least a 70% on coursework and a 70% on the Final."
The thing that sucks is that in order to pass the English Final you have to have a 70% in ALL parts of the rubric. I got it back yesterday with my grades and I had a B+ in Topic Idea ("conclusion" was underlined on the section for an A), got the equivalent to a D+ in other schools (less than 70%, "conclusion" highlighted) but I had A+'s in everything else (Grammar and Conventions, Vocabulary, and Evidence).
I have to go to the 1st Day of Summer School to take the Essay over, this time with a new prompt. If I "fail"
that I'm stuck with the tutoring.
Oh, and I have the position of Community Action Project Leader at a youth leadership development non-profit's summer program. I also work there after school part-time. VERY fun job; great opportunity and other stuffs.
