So, okay. Chi's got a job at Cold Stone Creamery and it's pretty awesome. I've enjoyed working there.
But recently, I've gotten pretty crap hours. Enough that I know my next paycheck will be microscopic at best. After working like, four days at least a week, I started getting very little work. I had Monday through Friday off the week before last. The last time I worked was a Saturday and Sunday afternoon last week. Monday through today? I've been off.
GENERALLY. We have a new schedule up by Monday/Tuesday so I've been trying to see if and when I'm working again. Monday? I call in, ask "When do I work again?" What's the response I get? "Oh, Paul didn't tell you? I'll have him call you back."
This...doesn't seem like a good thing. It means I'm either off again or I'm being let go because we're slower than we expected, which why I've had the entire week off. Tuesday, I try calling again because I haven't gotten a call back yet. NEITHER OF MY MANAGERS ARE IN. Paul's out 'til next week when I'm HOPEFULLY going to AX and Cole won't be in 'til the next day. So needless to say, I still have no damn clue.
Call again today. Cole's not in yet. >X; My store only has two regular managers and they're the current owners. My mother's getting annoyed at me because I don't know for sure and I can't find out via phone. I'm annoyed because I wanna work, I'm just not getting any hours.
It wouldn't be dumb of me to quit because of all this, would it?

Of course it wouldn't be dumb to quit because of this. The whole point of having a job is to get money. If they're not giving you any hours, you're not getting any money.

Mylian's got a point...
But, before you do anything rash:
First, let them know that if you don't start getting more hours, that you "might" start looking elsewhere for work...
Two, BEFORE you quit, go look for a job and maybe even get hired... then quit (do try and give two weeks notice though... it'll just be better that way... ^_^)
I'm sure that they're doing the best they can running the place, but if you can't get what you want out of it, then why are you there? o.o
^_^

When Payless gave me almost no hours I asked to be transferred to a payless that actually needed me and went for 10 hours a week to 40 right away.
Are there any other cold stones near you that maybe they can switch you to since they cant use you?
