Boiling Arena Description: A pathway extends from each entrance way, allowing each fighter to walk to the center platform, walking over the firey coals below. Once you reach the center platform, the pathways extend back toward the doors, starting the match. Due to the heat this arena gives off, the stands are given a heat-resilient transparent pane to look through for the audience, thus disallowing entry into the stands. But the ceiling is open to allow the heat to vent out. The ground is now scattered with hot coal being heated by a system underneath, making the temperature in the fighting ring at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The only best place to fight on would be the 50 yards diameter stone platform in the center of the ring, standing 6 ft from the ground. Though it isn't giving off heat that would burn your feet, the sheer warmth coming from it should be enough to show that even this platform is having a hard time resisting the heat around it. To help fight against the temperatures, each fighter is only given one 20 oz. bottle of water for them to use. Ten Count Boundary: The only ten count boundary is going above thirty feet into the air. Thus, the entire fighting area is open, with the stands being restricted off by the pane of glass protecting the audience.

Syre smiled to himself in his pin. He could already feel the heat radiating from beyond his entrance. This would be a great place to fight for him. He would have more energy for this fight and it would even make his senses a bit sharper. This was the perfect stage for his next fight. To bad it was not the finals. Syre shut his eyes just as the gate way to the arena opened. Cheers rained down at Syre and his opponent as they caught the first glimpses of the fighters. Syre could not see how his opponent entered the ring but Syre had a partial treat for the crowd. It would cost him his cape and shirt but he could always get new clothes. As soon as his pin gate would allow it, Syre walked right out onto the coals that heated the arena to its scorching heat. His cloak dragged on the coals behind him as he walked and it did not take long for his cloak to catch fire. It burnt rapidly and soon his shirt caught from his cloak and Syres upper body was engulfed in flames. During this time Syre had already heated his body to a bit hotter then it was inside the arena. The fire merely tickled him as he smiled and raised his arms while he walked.
By the time he had made it to the arenas edge most of his cloak and shirt had burnt. At the edge Syre jumped the entire six feet into the air and landed smoothly on his side of the platform. What little bit of flaming apparel was left on Syre and the ashy remains of the rest was blown off by his jump and had now become part of the coals. Not a burn was to be seen anywhere on the man. What was left on Syre as far as clothing goes was his gauntlets on his arms. His pants and what may or may not have been underneath them his two sheathed weapons and his boots. As these had all been very very fire proofed long before this fight. Syre drew his sword on his edge of the arena and looked for his opponent. Who would he be facing today he hoped it would be as fun as last round.

Ah what a beauty of a match he had fought. It was one he actually didnt regret losing, although the thought of not having sufficent funds to revive his tavern did depress him slightly. This depression vanished as he laid eyes upon the ring in which he was to be fighting. "Holy mother of...." he whispered as he looked around. It was boiling hot with earth all over the place. Coals laid spewn on the ground and there was even a large stone slab for them to fight on. Maybe the judges loved him or something for they just gave him an arena that gave him complete access to his two best elements. As he gawked he caught sight of his opponents flashy entrance and it was obvious to him that throwing a fireball wouldnt do too much to the man, not that he normally used such low level tactics anyway. Moving carefully on a path erected for fighters to move upon to enter the ring, Ryu made his way to his next battle. He was dressed in a slightly differnet garb from last, a cloak of red and green overlaying his black and gold outfit that now had an additional gold necklace for decoration. Yes he was quite ready and his mythril clothing did him well. Now standing upon the platform, maybe twenty feet from his opponent, he made sure to stay away from the coals, the first obvious thought being that he didnt like the heat. However, spectators knew differently, at least those who saw his last match. Lifting his right hand perpendicular to the ground, he stared at his opponent, the water that had been given to him attached to his waist with condensation already all around it. He was ready.

His opponent was Ryu, japanese for dragon a popular name these days, but what seemed to be even more popular these days was his opponents powers. Syre had taken his two days two review many of the fights on tape and Ryu's fight had been one he watched for a bit. Three out of his last four opponents had been elementalists. What a bother they were to fight, and how did they all manage to obtain power over all of earths elements. One and maybe even two by the looks of his current opponents were human. Apparently they, whoever they were, had come out with a book that Syre was unaware of, elementalism for dummies. Alas this fight would have to be fought and there was no point in wasting words. Maybe if he got past this match he would face something new, someone like Tres who less used powers and more used skill.
Syre seemed to make the transition from standing still to flat out running in the blink of an eye. In less then a second the measly twenty feet that held him from his opponent were burnt up. When Syre got to his opponent he would slash a low arcing cut at his opponents upper leg. The cut would be aimed far enough back that if his opponent did not dodge it it would likely take both his legs off. A simple matter to fix now a days but still a pain in the current battle. If his opponent were to move back the cut would still probably make contact at least a little due to its speed and depth.
All the time an almost insane smile played about Syre's lips. There was something that heat did to him. Made his blood boil.

Heh. This was an interesting thing to deal with. His opponent had charged him to make his job alot easier. As his opponent came in for the swing he would be met by a rather effective guard. The positioning of his right leg shifted, sliding foward while pressing into the stone ground. It sank easily and in response a large spire of stone, about four feet thick shot up from the stone platform. The sword made a clanking sound as it hit the stone spire and like many times before when he used the earth element it glew a faint red and despite the power the man had, it would only cause the blade to sink into the rock merely a few inches. Without waiting for his opponent to recover, the spire released from it a spray of needles that were aimed for his opponents upper body as Ryus left hand extended forward and he pushed himself backwards. Now if his opponent had truely watched his matches he would have stuck with a long range type of combat. Ryu wasnt about to match swords with him just yet. No, it was too early for him to bring that out and honestly he may have lost his last round simply because of that. It was of no consequence, however. Now each of these faintly glowing spires were aimed towards his opponents upper body. Chest, stomach, arms, all that wasnt guarded in that area was fair game and because of the range at which the attack was issued he doubted that it could miss. However, his opponents did have a way of pulling out some rather interesting manuvers. Thats what made his last match so fun.

Hmm it seemed his opponent had inhuman reflexes and they were not bothered at all by this ungodly heat. I guess that was not saying much however because Syre himself was in fact helped by the heat. Sure Syre maybe would have been better off attacking his opponent from a distance but how would that have been possible. Syre did not have any ranged combat weaponry and he really only had one supernatural attack power. The stone spire came up, Syres attack dug in a few inches, and Syre knew what was going to happen next he was going to be assaulted by a wave of needles that would explode if they embedded in his skin. But the needles wouldn't even come out of the stone before Syre had moved. His sword hit the stone and his opponent began to move backwards, so Syre still wanting to keep the distance close in the fight, spun to his right just along the stone pulling his sword out with the motion of the spin. At the end of this fairly simple sequence Syre was on the other side of the stone and just in front of his opponent with the needles falling into the coals off the edge of the arena. Continuing with the motion of the spin Syre kept the blade going but stopped his body toward his opponent, the still moving blade aimed to cut across his opponents chest. The move would be quick and clean. Hard to dodge and if his opponent could get a stone pillar all the way up to his chest before Syres blade had at least made it part of the way across that would be truly impressive for there was no way to tell how high along the body Syre was going to attack until his sword was deathly close. As an added bonus this time Syre would heat his sword how enough to melt through dense rock and easily slice right through bones.

So his opponent knew about his tactics a bit better than he assumed but did he really think that once launched he didnt have control over them anymore? At anyrate no one in this tournament had seen what he was completely capable of and he thought now was a good time to reveal a bit more about himself. As his opponent came around the pilar he it was easy to assume he was going to continue through with the motion of the spin to cut. Seriously, who wouldnt seeing that the attack would have a good amount of power with it. Ryu wasnt about to be hit though. As his opponent came around the spire and aimed to cut through his chest at any given point upon his chest region, Ryu did the simplest thing he could think of. He stepped in. Oh the wonder of how a swords range attacking power could be turned to naught by the simple movement of stepping in. However, this alone would not make him safe. No he had to seal the deal. His opponent may have come in from the right or he may have came in from the left. It truely didnt matter for the appropriate hand was used to stop the motion of the swing at the base by using his open palm to catch his opponents hand. Stepping in did such wonder. However that was still not the end. Ryu wouldnt let his opponent have a moment to breath. The pillar once again fired needles out of its body, this time aimed towards the now motionless body of his opponent. Now all the while Ryu kept good check on his opponents other weapon as well as the speed that he was moving with. It seemed that he was rather good with his reaction times and even though chances were high that he could not dodge, Ryu was not expecting him to get hit by the needles... yet. There is always more than one way to skin a cat and Ryu was about to skin this one alive.
Behind his opponent the stone shifted slightly, a smal lump of faint red earth becoming aparent. Many others began to appear over the platform as his crystal began to glow faintly. It was about time to show this man the true power of an elementalist of his calibur. He wasnt just some punk with a handbook.

Syres move was countered by the simple yet effective motion of what most call stepping in. Not bad, not bad at all. The blade would be stopped but his opponent was now incredibly close to him.
As soon as his arm was stopped Syre would jump up and over his opponent arm with a stylish flip that made his landed place on the other side of the opponents body. Crisp clean and quick it didnt take much time at all to do. Syres opponent was between the pillar and himself. Now if the pillar shot needles they would have to go through there own master to get to Syre. Not only that but while in the air Syre had quickly unsheathed his dagger into his left hand and as soon as he landed he stabbed at his opponent from Syres own left side and he also made a diagonal stab with his sword on the right side. His sword aimed for the upper back and the dagger aimed for the stomach in sort of a pincer attack. The current position of the two was a good one for Syre, or so it seemed. The jump had made it so that the four foot stone pillar was on the left side of his opponent, Syre was on his right with his right arm most likely recovering from the earlier block, Syres dagger was coming in from the front of his opponent and his sword from the back. Both his sword and his dagger were heated to be red hot same cutting capabilities as previously mentioned. Contact with one of Syres blades seemed immanent for his opponent but who knew maybe this opponent would be slick enough to escape this attack. Syre almost hoped it was so the match would be no fun if he caught his opponent this early in the game.

His opponent had one problem at this point. If he had thought that he had inhuman reflexes at the begining, despite his attack was rather easily seen cause of its head on assualt, he surely would be surprised now. There were two actions his opponent had to do before he could flip over his head in any clean manner. His opponent had to first have his sword come to a stop. He then would have to bend his knees for without doing so he would have no power to jump unless he used a propultion system of some kind other than his legs. However, Ryu saw no evidence of that for if he had used a burst of heat he would have felt it. After this bending his opponent then had to extend his legs to push himself into the air to move up and over. Honestly, if situations were reversed, Ryu would have not stopped his rotation but followed through so that if the weapon was stopped he could move around the body and attack a leg or something but eh, who was he to tell his opponent what to do. At anyrate Ryus enhance had already been activated and made things for Ryu alot easier.Quote: Enhancer- The crystal enhances abilities that Ryu already has when used. For example his reasoning abilities and tactical thinking are heightened to their extreme, allowing him to see through illusions as well as preserve his frame of mind. With his enhancer active his reaction time became even faster thus alowing him to catch his opponents speedy movement. By the time his opponent had taken the initiative to jump, Ryu took the initiative to take hold of his wrist since he hadnt bother to take his hand out of the line of his grasp. Twisting his body as his opponent went into the air to face the direction his opponent had wanted to land, he pulled hard upon his opponent arm, throwing him off balance and to send him crashing into the stone ground flat on his upper back. Upon touching the ground, the stone ground rose to imprision him attempting to wrap around him upon either side. Being that he had just hit the ground and probbally quite surprised from the quick reaction, there was little means to escape. However, like before, he couldnt feel safe with on such lofty thoughts.EE pressense- Unlimited Heat charge-100% ES- Forced unlock-40% White Fyre-Active Enhancer-Active
