I have been dating the girl I am with for about a year now. She never told her mom because yea we all know anyways her mom found out. Not due to anything we had done but because some dude liked my girl and told her mom hoping she'd have to dump me. This guy was my best friend all through middle school and high school. Sadly he was the first person I came out too. I trusted him completely and now I feel betrayed. Everyone has told me that its my fault for letting him develope a crush. I already feel stupid enough I just wish someone would help me. I dont really know what I should do. Now the guy wants to be friends again and I kinda feel its just so he can try to hang out with my girl again. What should I do? Am I wrong in this?

Yeah, forgive him. If you need someone to talk to, friends really help. Keep your friends, even if they're assholes, they're still friends.

pshhh
who says you have to forgive him? You don't have to forgive him! He totally betrayed you, don't let him get away with this and just let him go like that. I'm not saying you should seek revenge, but seriously! You don't have to take this, it's not your fault. Just walk outta there, and hang with some other people, make some new friends.
(it's easier than you'd think, just ask somebody you talk with in class if you can eat lunch with their friends. bam. instant new group of friends.)
but seriously- not your fault you don't have to still be friends with either of them

Yeah, you don't have to take that kind of stuff. Just ignore him, back away. If he's going to do that to you once, he'll do it again.

Forgivness is futile. Confront him and tell him "Your my friend, but I won't put up with you trying to take my girl." Seriously. I will never understand men and thier friendships

I think that it's bull that he did that to you! stare I would still be his friend, but be on the weary side for a little bit around him. He would have to gain my trust back if this were me. cool
