Obviously it's storyline. The real question here is what could possibly be the angle with Vince calling Triple H by his real name?

I think it's pretty serious, I'm pretty sure that the light was supposed to fall but that other thing that fell came pretty close to wasting him, I'm gullible enough to believe that it's a work but if it's not, then I guess Vince got that little extra shock value he needed

The thing didnt even hit him or was even near him.

They possibly made Vince call Triple H "Paul" just to make it seem more realistic.
