I remember going to the south once and just levitating over the immense sugaryness of sweet tea. I'd get a huge thing of it every time we stopped at a McDonalds.
Also, Sonic. Which is very uncommon here, but there are a few that just opened like a month ago.

I drank a Vanilla Coke from Birmingham once, then flew to New York that same day. When I bought a Vanilla Coke there I was certain there was something wrong with it, 'til I realized that they put more sugar in food in the south. So the recipe for it here calls for more sugar than the ones up north.
