Cheveyo thought for a moment,"Do you remember how you got there?" he asked lightly, glancing at the entrance to the tent as if expecting to find someone listening in. There was no one, that he could see.
"If they could help us, we''d have to get there."
He looked back to Maia, leaning back, hands resting on his flanks. He wasn''t relaxed anymore though, he was anxious and way to curious than could be healthy.

Maia grows quiet as she considers Chev's question. Her eyes close for a long moment, long enough for one to wonder whether or not the injured Centaur has fallen asleep... but then her eyes open again and she looks straight at the Cervitaur beside her. "I remember crossing a lot of water... and it feels... .... North. That just feels right." Her voice drops to a low whisper. "Somewhere to the North..."
Her serious expression breaks into a smile and a nervous laugh. "Look at me, spouting all this nonsense like some sort of Oracle! You must think I'm mad..." She chuckles, lowering her head. "Just like the Elders..."

Cheveyo made her look up again,"No. I beleve you. You're not mad," he said seriously."North. Up North." he said, wanting to make sure that's what she truly thought. I mean, if he was going to attempt to find them...not likely, he'd be stopped, but he wanted to."You're positive, Maia?"
He would never think his sister mad. To him, everywhere that spilt from her mouth was the truth, no. Law.

Maia doesn't pause. "I'm sure, Chev. It was the North. Across the water..." Her brow furrows and she suddenly frowns. "How will we do it, Cheveyo? How can we make it so far... across the water?" She leans closer to him, a near-desperation to her voice, as if begging him for answers.

Cheveyo bit his lip,"We'll figure it out, just give me a few days to think about it. You too, you were always smarter than me," it was said with earnest affection. He smiled at him, fiddling with his belt."But, we'll have to wait until you're better, you can't go anywhere like this."

"I don't know if I'd call myself smarter than you, Chev," Maia says, a smile coming to her face again. "But you're right, I just want to heal... so I can try to find them. Do you think... you could talk to some Taurs that you trust? Just test the waters... maybe some others have their own reasons to believe. In any case, we're going to need more to go with us." She bites her lip, murmuring to herself. "I know Tschida will accompany us... but beyond that... we need Taurs who are not afraid of adventuring to unknown places."
She reaches over, patting Cheveyo's hand. "Thank you... for listening to me."

"I'll try..."Chveyo said, then fell silent, looking thoughtful. He was trying to think of who to ask. Who did he know? Moonlight Sonata. He'd talk to her, but other than that, he was going to have to think some more. He was snapped out of his musings when Maia patted his hand, and he smiled at her. "Not a problem." he nodded a little, still smiling.

"Well, enough of all this serious talk." Maia chuckles. "How have you been, Cheveyo?" She looks him overly in an almost-motherly way, as if assessing that he's been getting enough to eat or something. "You look strong! Are you still in training?" She grins suddenly, a more impish gleam coming to her eye. "I bet you have a cute girlfriend, don't you?" Maia laughs, not cruelly, but with the pure entertainment of one sibling teasing another.
((Poor Chev, I couldn't resist... XD ))

Cheveyo blushed and shifted awkwardly,"Maia!" he rubbed his arm and looked down, but couldn't help but let out a small laugh."No, I don't. There is...nevermind," he shook his head,"I'm just going to concentrate on your first questions, to avoid embarassing myself,"he grinned slightly and looked up,"I've been fine, and yes, I have been training. But how about you, got a boyfriend yet?"

Maia leans forward a bit, curious about Chev's shyness, but she's too polite to press the issue. "I was training in archery until this happened..." She gestures at the wound along her flank, and sighs. "I miss it, I can't wait to get back to practicing again..."
The Centaur blushes a bit herself at Chev's question. "Umm, no... no boyfriend... most of the boys of the tribe seem a bit intimidated by me, and the Elders keep me under too much protection because my father was the Chieftain." She frowns, looking down at her hands. "It's difficult, but I have to accept my status. The Tribe is expecting me to lead them. But in all honesty... much of the time I wonder if I will be a suitable leader for them?"

Cheveyo nodded, smiling,"Archery. Interesting." He eyed the wound with a frown, but didn't comment on it.
"You will," he seemed a bit shocked that she'd think otherwise,"You're a natural leader, and once you're old enough, you can tell the Elders to bugger off, so you can find someone." Another soft chuckle.
