Oh Ruru, Ascella is not a complete Mary Sue. That would mean you portray her as perfect or too plain.
Ascells is a selfabsorbed-conflicted-in love- witch. C: That doesn't quite sing out Mary Sue, to me. <3
So don't worry.

I agree with Kani. I love Ascella. ^^
On another note, a lot of people seem to think that if you make a character too plain, that constitutes a Mary Sue (and I did for a while, as well) when in fact, it's the exact opposite. I was reading up on the origins of the 'Mary Sue' (something to do with a Lieutenant in a Trekkie novel in the 70s), and based on the definition a Mary Sue is a character who represents a piece of the creator's ego, is a primadonna, and takes the realism from other characters around them by taking over the plot and bending it to serve his/her purpose. So you could really have a character that was boring as dirt and that's all they'd be...a boring character. ^^
It just amused me how many more characeristics people have been putting in the category of Mary Sue indicators when they really don't need to be there. It's definitely a term that's been expanded much more than it was ever intended to be.

I hate to admit it, but part of me wants to kill her. Like, just kill her off in the roleplay. But the other part says 'NO b***h.' Mainly because it would create chaos, and she reminds me so much of me that I just want to kill her. Ascella is like ME with epilepsy. I still kind of want to kill her, but then I would have to work harder with my other characters, and I couldn't kill her. No matter how badly I want to sometimes. It's horrible I know. But still.

Well, killing Cella would certainly stir up the roleplay. ^^ I've had my moments where I've considered figuring out a way to get rid of one of my characters, but I think I'd kick myself if I did. Gracie's giving me the most problems, mostly because she hasn't developed a lot of depth as a character yet. She's one of those characters that comes from a great home life, she's enthusiastic, she's fun...there's no angst for me to play with. lol I'm hoping when she grows up some that some of the childish innocence she has will tone down.

The worst part, is that I know exactly how to kill her. More than one way too. So many options, the epilepsy makes it even easier. I haven't seen a lot of Gracie's posts, I should read them, but I have the habit of skimming to much. That is mainly why I don't accept profiles. I don't read them thoroughly enough.. XDD

I do the same thing. I skim for dialogue a lot when I'm roleplaying unless it's a post I know I need to pay attention to. I do the same with profiles except I tend to skip homelife and read other parts. xD I wasn't actually aware anyone other than Kani or Ally was allowed to accept profiles, though. Hm. I wouldn't, though, unless they needed me to because I am entirely too picky. I probably wouldn't have accepted a few profiles that were accepted, but that's me being a**l about things.

Well, the crew aren't normally supposed to, but Kani asked me to, and I offered to do some other profile acceptance. Though..back to the skimming thing. I skim for Dialogue and thoughts, and later I go back and read it over again when I have nothing better to do with my life. Which happens more than often.

Yea, that's what I figured. ^^ I don't know how Kani gets to them all, sometimes. There are two more that I just noticed. They kind of seem to appear in multiples. xD
lol Yea, you sound like me. I rarely have anything to do, either. Unless I'm scheduled to work, but even then I'm only on for four hours or so.

Okay, I have a tip as well, although it might be an obvious one.
Don't be a jerk to everyone you meet. If it's attention that you want or if you disagree with something they said you shouldn't take out your anger to everyone you see because not only will you fail at getting attention at that time you will fail to get attention in the long-run. More importantly people won't like your character and won't want to stick around with you which will make you even more frustrated and cause you to loose interest in the RP. I don't think I have to go any farther.

Ivalice_Overlord27: Unless it is in-character to be a generally disagreeable person who strives for attention. But yes, good points.
