A growl worked its way up and past Chronos' muzzle, sneer marring his normally stoic features. Pressing himself back against the tree he was laying by, tail knotting and unknotting itself in aggitation. Anything to keep his mind off, well, his mind. Brilliant blue eyes turned to glance at the hourglass that stood silently to the side of him, golden grains unmoving.
He was loosing control.
Eyes dialated as hhe turned inward, grabbing at any and all thin red thread, tugging harshly, the threads furling slightly. Giving another tug some snapped all together, dissolving into nothingness.

Blinking furiously, focusing his eyes once again on the councious world, he looked again at the hourglass. The gold sand funniling softly once more.
A sigh escaped him, eyes closing, tired. He had removed the grains of those closest to him. Centuries ago Kau, and now the blue mortal he ran into so often.

Earrings clinked delicatly together as he shook his head, clearing it, long mane falling in cascades from his shoulder.

User Image BUT IN REALITY -> User Image

Aoi wandered his way along a beaten path. He'd woken this morning feeling great. It was as if he was suddenly full of endless engery! He had to walk, run, and move. He couldn't explain quite it. The path he followed was an unfamilar one to him. Yet something told him to travel this way. Aoi watched the birds flutter, and the grass blow in the breeze.

Aoi stopped to take in a deep breath, but only got half of the air he was expecting. Suddenly the air all around him was motionless, and the world was dark, and freezing. Aoi choked and gaged desprate for air. He paniced for what felt like minutes, but in actuallity was only abouth six seconds. Suddenly he succked in air, faster than he expected. And the world regained it's natural state. Aoi panted and looked around. It was as if it hadn't happened. "Was it a dream?" No. He shook his head. "I'm wide awake."

Aoi's eyes scanned the area for a moment longer, before falling on something, or should he say, someone who could explain. Chronos. The god of time. If time had just frozen, it would explain all that he'd just felt. But why didn't anything else seem to have the slightest incling of what had just happened? Aoi made his way closer. "Oi!" He called out as he neared the god.

Ears flicked back at the noise, eyes snapping open at the call. he was in no mood, nor condition, to deal with a simpleton mortal. Since his physica; change Chronos had felt he himself changing, the tight grip he constantly held on his emotions ever so slightly slipping. And with it so had his control. A side effect? He'd been so used to the heavy chains and clocks, upon him for centuries. Yet he was loath to admit the simple appearance update had also changed other things along with it.

Blinking he bit back a snarl as his realem shifted again, suddenly sending splashes of color across the once clear sky, evening falling on a world that was once noon. Slaming the lid shut on emotions Chronos glanced up, eyes watching intent from where the voice had called out from, muscles tense in preperation to strike out at whatever, or whoever, said voice belonged to.

Aoi moved in front of Chronos, ready to burst with questions. But the look of exauhstion painted Chronos' features. "What's up with you." Was all that fell out when he attempted to speek, and he was instantly filled with regret. He sighed and laied down in front of the god. "You don't looks so hot." He whispered. "And that... that... that sensation." He struggled for the words. "What was that? I couldn't breath, or see. There was no sound... And it was soo cold." Aoi examined Chronos as he spoke. He defenently looked tired. Was something really wrong with him?

Blue eyes slitted to a half-hearted scowl as Aoi lay before him, certainly he'd get no peace with this ulaya around. Releasing a breath he hadnt realised he was holding. Eyes swept over the ulaya before him, eyebrow quirking up ever so slightly. It was so subtle, and perhaps Aoi himself hadnt even noticed yet, but the changes happening to the male were glaringly obvious to the Time God.

Tail lightly caressing the hourglass always by his side he couldnt help but wonder if it had been his meddling that was causeing the others change. This didnt happen when he had done the same to Kau at the begining of time though. Perhaps because this one was older?

Shaking his head as though to rid himself of that train of thought, long mane tumbling from his shoulders Chronos looked pointedly at Aoi. "It was nothing. And you could see, could breath, could feel, perfectly fine." Cutting himself off abrupty, catching himself from speaking the phrase that would condemn the other to a life of eternity. 'All gods know how.' "... You just dont know how yet."

He started slightly as another thread snapped in his mind, sending the world tummbling into darkness, stars held high above their heads.

Aoi stared at Chronos, mulling over his obviously 'carefully chosen' words. He opened his mouth to make a well thought out remark, but he practically choked aloud on them as the sky suddenly went dark and the stars shown brightly above. He shivered slightly from the sudden, but not unwelcome chill that often came with the dead of night. Aoi studied the stars for a long moment before looking back at Chronos. “Something’s up.” He stated, trying to sound calm. “Normally, when you move or ‘adjust’ time, all I see is you vanish suddenly. But it suddenly shot forward, or backward, to night! If you’re trying to have a romantic evening with me, I’m all for it.” He watched Chronos’ expression, or lack there of, as he spoke. “But, something tells me you wouldn’t just do that out of the blue.”

Aoi realized he was starting to pout as he spoke, and tried to cover it. But he wasn’t sure what expression to wear, and ended up just giving a half glare, half pout. “You’re hiding something. And Want to know what it is, and why it’s affecting me too!” Aoi noticed his claws retracting, and extending at a strange tingling sensation that had run through them suddenly. "It's... I'm..." He looked back up, eyes pleading for help, but mouth refusing to admit that he was a little scared.

Chronos watched, stoic as always, as Aoi's claws dug at the earth. His own, too long to completely retract, making small dents in the earth in response. Tilting his head almost unnoticably in Aois' direction Chronos took a moments pause to collect his thoughts. "You're seeing time through a gods eyes now. It's readjusting its self," Motioning to himself, "There seems to of been some... complications... with the change." Tilting his head back, key-holed eyes gazed at the darkening sky, stars twinkling mockingly down at him. "It'll sort itself out eventually."

Turning to look back upon Aoi, Chronos eyes trailed him. It was almost unnoticable, and to any other ulaya it may have been, but it was still there. Pulsing around the other male, so faint, but Chronos could almost imagine it trying to whisper to the once mortal, calling ever so softly.

Looking away from the Aoi Chronos' eyes landed once again on the hourglass at his side, a feeling of regret bubbling up within him, trying to surface, and he wished he hadnt of sent Kau back home.

Aoi slowly let Chronos' words sink in. "Change?" He quirked a brow. "What change?" He eyed the god. "You mean your new stuff?" He examined Chronos from nose to tail. "I like it. Even if I do miss parts of it. But..." He paused and leaned closer. "How could that complicate things?" Aoi felt he was missing a big part of this conversation, and it frustrated him. He knew he must look like an idiot to the one he admired so. He was trying so hard to understand, but he felt like it was useless.

As thoughts swirled around, a blur in his head, Aoi suddenly stood. He'd suddenly grown aware that his paws were more than just a little warmer than usual. "Ow!" He winced and lifted on the take pressure off it. He was soo engulfed in the, almost too hot, heat radiating from his paws he missed the little, bright balls of movement behind him. They wiggled, and mingled with one another.

Chronos watched, unmoving, as little balls of flame began dancing around the male before him. An eyebrow rose as one seemed to stop before his own nose, illuminating his features in a soft blue light before skipping back off towards Aoi. His other eyebrow joined the first as the flame skidded to a halt before the others ear.

Pausing a moment to be sure the others attention was focused elsewhere, Chronos' eyes dialated. His concious pushing against the strands of time, carefully weaving broken strands together. It had been a lie, of course. That time would straighten itself out on its own.
Slowly but surely the red strands were rewoven, set again on their original path. And Chronos allowed a ghost of a smile to pass across his muzzle as he came from his mind, Aoi still starring blankly down at blue paws.

Aoi's body relaxed as the heat suddenly ebbed away. He slowly looked down at his paws. "They were hot. But..." He grew quiet, and his ears poked back. "This feels like a bad joke!" He growled. "Somewhere in the universe someone is getting a kick out of making me so confused!" He let out. "Hn?" His ears perked and he looked over to Chronos. "Did you say something?"

He sighed and laid down. Aoi felt a little childish at his sudden outburst, and he knew Chronos wasn't the patient type, and thus might not want to put p with him being as such. "Hm..?" He suddenly looked up. "What are you doing all the way out here anyway!? I didn't expect to run into you of beings on my -once morning- walk." Aoi smiled, a hint of his devious nature showing through. "I'm not disappointed though."

"Oh? You wont have to search far to find that someone, I assure you." Choronos blue eyes followed Aois' towards the others paw, eyebrows furrowing slightly. They shouldnt be hot... An affiliation never brought pain tot he God it grew on, instead fitting itself as a part of the others very being. Chronos himself could never recal a time his own clocks and chains had ever caused even a fraction of discomfort.

Glancing back up towards Aoi Chronos' ears swiveled. "No." A simple answer, but then, the others question didnt call for further explanation either. "My reasons for being here are nothing for you to worry over." Flicking his whip-like tail the God stood, joints popping from staying in the same spot for so long. Taking a moment to stretch Chronos turned, heading back into the dense forest not sparing Aoi a glance. He'd already been here too long, and was loath to leave his kit alone a moment longer.

pausing as though remembering a fleeting though Chronos looked back over his shoulder, raising an eyebrow at the other. A silent question in the gesture. Comming?

Aoi chuckled lightly, trying to shake it off. 'Too much stress, and I'll wrinkle for sure.' He glanced up at Chronos. 'Mr. Time here is lucky.' He shook his head and stretched his legs a bit, his muscles yearning to get moving again. It was a little annoying that he needed to move, while he wanted to stay put.

His ears perked forward, mid-stretch, as Chronos spoke again. "Who said I was worried?" Aoi turned away to hide his slight embarrassment. He turned he head back when he noticed Chronos raising and heard his joints popping. getting older, old man?' He laughed lightly to himself. But his smile faded when he realized Chronos was moving along on his own way. Aoi watched him for a few elegant steps, taking in every amazing muscle. His back straightened when Chronos looked back. An invitation Aoi wouldn't pass up for the world. Though he hid his joy well, he couldn't hide it all. He regained his, once lost, casual smirk, and followed after Chronos at a leisurely pace.
