Fruor sighed as he made his way from the parking lot into the mall. At least inside would be air conditioned and cool, given that summer meant extra money spent at malls and public places on such cooling devices.

He wasn't fond of the fact that he was being sent out to buy decorations for the party-- Draco's party, of course, a birthday party, fashionably late, but not so late anyone had forgotten about it.

"Damn party favors," Fruor muttered under his breath as he moved through the cool air.

Agios loved the mall for all of the usual reasons: it was warm in the winter and cool in the summer; the crowds, while stifling to some, were entertaining and provided background noise for the soul who dislikes the ominousness of silence. Climate control is a wonderful thing, the rabbit thought with a grin as he swerved around a particularly large throng of teenagers.

He paused to see what had gathered so many shoppers. He didn't particularly care, but there was always something new to see and one could always hope to find that one item that had been missed last time. Second-chance shoppers, like himself, loved that. Agios often put things back that he would later kick himself for. They were always trinkets for himself passed over in favor of something he had seen for someone else.

Alas, the other kids were just gathered around a coffee and pastry stand, so he continued on his way. He wanted to find something for Kaspar. He knew why the angel was unhappy, it was Agios' fault of course, but he knew Kas would never talk about it. And so... a gift. Probably a book or something (of course) he decided, so that left him free to window shop.

Walking along, not paying particular attention to where he was going (it was vaguely in the direction of the party supply store, just not the most direct route), Fruor continued along slowly, staring more into windows than at that which was in his walking path. This, of course, could have easily been the reason he wasn't watching where he was going and ended up bumping into many a shopper, muttering an apology.

Step, step, ooh, pretty-- "Ow!" Fruor exclaimed as he bumped into a rabbit.

Agios found himself bounced around, not nearly as badly as a ball, but close. It was just one of those confluences that occur naturally in both rushing rivers and in mall and festival crowds. Fall in and let yourself get carried away, hoping you don't drown is about all one can do. He grabbed hold of the proverbial piece of debris: tree, log, fellow victim. It just happened to be upper arm of a wolf. With a bright smile Agios waved but was careful not to let go. "Hello, there! Don't mind me. I'll be getting off here shortly, in Albuquerque..." Or the book store. Perhaps today had not been the best day to come.

"Albuquerque, hm?" Fruor asked with a bit of a grin. "Not a bad idea-- it's rather... busy today, isn't it?" he asked, pulling the rabbit with him closer to the window, away from the crowds. "Are you all right?"

It wasn't often Fruor ran into someone like himself-- but then again, there was no telling for sure that this rabbit was, rather than just one who resembled someone like him. So many ideas, so many questions. But this was neither time nor place.

Agios grinned. Well at least the quip was appreciated. One must try to keep one's sense of humor in such dire circumstances. He was however glad to get out of the rush for a moment or two. "It is quite busy today. Crowds are like a force of nature, aren't they?" Watching the crowd for a moment or two for an opening, he found none and resigned himself to the fact that they might be here for a little while. "I wonder if it's a holiday I didn't know about." He feigned a sigh. "Holidays mean big sales. I'd have brought more money..."

"It's summer. Every day is a holiday in its own right," Fruor commented with a bit of a grin. "Though not always accompanied by sales. Those are reserved for weekends and days of greater magnitude."

((And I'm feeling the effects of the two glasses of wine I drank, so I'll be heading off now, Melo-love. Continue later, please~?))

(( Of course my dear. Sleep soundly and have a good day tomorrow. x3 <3 ))

Agios smiled wanly. "Ah, too bad. It's just my luck all the kiddies are home for the holidays," he added with a little chuckle. He was one of the 'kiddies,' of course, though he felt a bit outside of that crowd, by more than just proximity.

He looked up at the wolf curiously then and said with mild sheepishness, "Well I am sorry for running into you. It happens, but I didn't mean to hold you up from wherever it was you were going."
