You guys sound very tight, well done!

It sounds like you guys need a lot more work. It sounds rather loose and unrehearsed, and the guitar solo is really shitty.

Your bassplaying, on the other hand, sounded really good. Always on time, consistent, and always there. Good work! Now get the others in shape, seduce the singer, kill the guitarplayer, and make way for

thanks for that comment on my bass playing.....i know about the whole non-tightness thing. its rather obvious to me also....ive been trying to get them to practice more but hey what can you do theyre not me....but i think it was still a pretty good cover nonetheless

Lol I think I said you guys sounded tight just because I never listen to anything but the bass and drums, you and your drummer were right together. The horns really needed to lock in more though, and the trombone needs to watch his dynamics because he drowns out everything else. I liked your backup vocals too, they didn't sound half assed. *sigh* In a band situation it's usually up to the basss players to get the rest of the band in line, it's what we do.

it was good, the brass section was a little out of tune...but at least it's the section nobody cares about. mrgreen

ok I'm gonna be a little obnoxious and post my Band... xd

Spain 2007

what do you guys reckon?

and before you say it... Yes i can play the head, but at that venue and with that Bass drum, and the tone they made me play with (I like a brighter more attacky tone) it sounded too muddy and wasnt punchy enough and made it sound less impressive

and it could've/Should've been done without the singer

and I checked out Rock Steady and Black Velvet aswell

all I can say about you is

good playing, band has some real potential... maybe get some Key Changes in order for the singer... which was in Rock Steady I think?

just a couple bum notes that kept it from an awesome vocal performance

and... maybe in Black Velvet cut back on the Backing Vocal Volume?

kind of drowned out the main vocals there

good drummer, keep her

get a better guitarist

i thouroughly enjoyed the Pianist, I couldnt hear him at all... lol turn him up a bit

and decent Horn section there

just gotta get those horns horny to play the horns and work on them

its hard for a horn section to sound good with eachother, so when they do they usually dont go too far form each other.

and sounds like there nearly there

and THAT

is my $0.02

not bad! my computers got really crappy speakers so its hard to hear bass..but what i could here sounded good.....you guys have potential. weve been trying to fix the problems in my band though....our soundman really isnt that good though. plus our musicians really dont practice that much. im the only one thats really went all out on stuff the rest hold back and i keep telling them they need to stop that but noone listens to the bass player...oh well im prolly not gonna be in it in a few months anyway.....from how stuff is going its prolly gonna fold
