heart i just love FF...I've played almost every FF game. Each one is different. The earlier games, though the graphics are ancient, were very challenging. You had to tap around for that hidden piece or bump every inch of the wall to find the hidden passage. In the games now, there's a sparkle or noise to tell you "hey check it out". The Zelda series is very good also...same complaint. Even though the graphics are fantastic, the puzzle solving is practically none existent. The best they can do is create a Boss that has a million+ HP & head banging wipe-outs and extensive side quests to elongate the game. Otherwise, really we could finish these games in a day or two.
I just read another thread from Jerbos...he had most of the game nailed in 15 days! ok WOW, but that's some 24/7 gaming.
as long as i am entertained...YAY! ...but the music from FF7 still makes my heart stop and start at the same time.

Regor Namraets I voted other because i've enjoyed games on both sides of the split. yeah, its very hard to choose since I love 7, dislike 8, like 9, adore 10 and 10-2, and dislike 12.

I'd think the new battle system actually works better with this game, since the world maps are so big... Trying to get through Cerobi Steppe with random battles every five steps?? (i really hated that place for being so friggin big)
The only thing i didnt really like was the way ppl they talked... i know they were trying to fit it with the world but still...

I love the dialogue! It made me feel really smart listening to it, and it's rather poetic. They probably made the maps with the battle system in mind.

I'm sorry, but 'tapping every bump on a wall' and 'puzzle-solving' are not synomous. A puzzle gives you hints and a resonable shot, random taps, are, well, random. I don't like puzzles or minigames in the first place (I don't get minigames. I'm all ready playing a game, why would I want to play another?), and I can't stand having to double check everything. I don't, however, think a boss with an insane about of HP is anything special. I don't wanna spend five hours trying to kill something that's not going to benefit my life in any real way.

I personaly think that people that dont like final fantasy XII arent very far in the story,i felt the same way,once i got all my characters in my team, it was alot more fun, and easier, so thats why i still play, but its great graphics,i dont get why everybody has blond or white hair,and an awsome storyline, so i think its just magnificent

Actually I had a great time with it. I won it around 60 hours. They could have gone without changeing the battle system(Seriously I won that than I find a copy of Final Fantasy VIII I go through the first battle and I feel like im in nirvana) but besides that it was great game.
