So my older bro's about to go bye bye in a few months--in other words, college.

I'll admit I'm happy for him, but I'm a little upset. I've been an only child before for a few weeks, but not for a full year eek (he's the only sibling I have).
I usually go to him for advice and a family member t' talk to, but now that he's about to go, I'm gonna be stuck in a house with two adults (parents) who could never understand my problems/would probably make the worst counselors mad and I don't intend on trying to ask other relatives (my cousin hates me enough already).
I know I could go to my friends and talk about things with them, but I'm worried that if I do so, I'll burden them with my problems until they explode and go "SHUT UP I DON'T CARE ANYMORE RAUGH!!!!!! evil "

My first thought from all this is to keep it to myself: I could learn to handle situations on my own and get nobody involved. Good idea or bad idea?

What you're thinking of doing is called "repressing" I am a represser, and I do not suggest you do this. It causes a great deal of stress and headaches depending on your problems. It also causes break downs, because you just end up storing so much inside you get depressed, and just one day explode into tears over the smallest thing. It's terrible. My suggestion would be to keep in contact with your brother, E-mail, Msn, Text, Phone, Pen pal even. I'm sure your friends wouldn't mind if you came to them every once in awhile, and there's also always this guild, or a live journal.

I have similar problems. My bro is leaving for college in a few weeks too. crying
I don't know what you should do. I'm looking forward for him to leave. He's been growning annoying lately. Just a few minutes ago I was about to take the remote and hit him across the face with it... evil
