This is the Marsh that covers the western coast of the Mersea to the Otteraid river.

This land is thick with water loving trees and plants, as well as very dead trees and bushes. The ground that is not covered by water is squishy and either covered in moss or the mud is left uncovered. The sun peaks through the coarse upper foliage only during the later half of the day as it begins to think about setting. While the water in the marsh is mostly fresh, it does become mildly salty as it touches the edge of the Mersea.
