So, back when I first joined Gaia in 2004, I had an art thread, and I met one of my best friends, Kiwi. (TehQuiouii) She and I hit it off instantly, and eventually were "Gaian married". She introduced me to a few of her friends: MOM (the voice of reason of our group, MOM is an acronym) and Crim (The aggressive tomboy).
Then lots of things got in the way and we began to talk less, and my love for AIM wanned, and so things were on a bit of a "talk when we can" basis.
Well, this weekend my family went to Pittsburgh to see the Arts Festival, and she lived nearby. We set up a time, and we got to see eachother face to face. Crim happened to be in Illinois, and couldn't come, but Kiwi dragged along MOM~ Shoy followed me.
We had from 1-3PM to spend together until Shoy and I had to leave to go visit our grandparents, so we all enjoyed every minute we could. We raided all the booths in our silly nerdy ways and danced in the rain. Kiwi bought a necklace and we had lots of fun together. MOM had buying struggles, and I kept getting my sandals stepped on.
Everyone stared at us when we called MOM by her acronym, wondering how someone our age could be our mom.
The original time to leave was 2PM, but we bargained for lunch time and ate at a local Subway. It rained really hard and Shoy and I were without umbrellas. We wanted to get a caricature done, but the cheapest booth was in use and we had like 10 minutes left together.
It was a wonderful time, and now my parents know that Kiwi isn't the "53 year old man who likes 17 year old boys" they think everyone else on the internet is.
