JK Rowling has stated that in an event for charity, she wrote an 800 word story set in time 3 years before Harry was born. The plot involve James and Sirius, and it will be out in August (apparently). Hopefully it floats around the net so we can read it!
She said that she is not intending to write a full prequel, but we can hope, can't we? Especially us marauder fans, right?
In any case, the full article is on JK Rowling's official website (as if we haven't been there before, right?) and it is the latest under the 'news' section. Happy reading!

Yay, more Harry Potter! And here I thought the only thing left to look forward to were the movies... sweatdrop
It would be fun if she made more prequels -- like one set back in the Tom Riddle era, but I think that's just me expecting too much again. rolleyes
