Luna was pulled after Tobi abruptly and ran with him until he felt ready to stop. She patted one of his shoulders as she wondered briefly just what kind of stories were being passed around of her mother. As if on cue, her phone started to ring. She grinned nervously at Tobi as she brought her phone out and answered it.
"Yeah? Hi Mom. Yeah, I'm going out for a bit. Yes, I have my stuff, no, I have not been kidnapped. You may keep calling me a kid, but I'm not tired! Huh? I'm with one of my friends. You know. The one I invited to the party?"
She rolled her eyes at the response. "Erm, the other one I invited to the party. Yeah, that one. Where we going?"
She glanced at Tobi during this part. "To get ice cream!" She winced as she heard the next bit. "... Yes, I know we have some at home... I was going to that place that they showed on TV-... I think he'd relax more if we weren't home Mom... Um, yeah... really... Er, bye Mom, see ya Mom, later Mom, I'm hanging up now Mom... yes really Mom..." With each goodbye, she pulled the phone a little farther away until she could end the call and put her phone away.
She sighed as the phone rang again but ignored it this time as she grinned at Tobi. "She's a bit overprotective of us, you see." Now, where to go... She looked around to see where they ended up. She finally pointed in one direction. "That way. I've heard there's an awesome place not far from here."

Tobi froze as the phone rang and stood in silence through the conversation trying to suspress laughter ther whole time. Maybe her mum wasn't the be dragon he'd heard of... Or... Maybe atleast not to her daughters and just to boys that had more then a passing interest in her daughters......
He nodded as she pointed to the direction to head and started walking, "Yeah, I can tell. Mum's a bit over protective of us when where kids.... Then again... I think thats mainly since Danny was kidnapped" He swallowed the lump in his throat. "She used to just let us wander. Like when I first met you. I was looking for a shiney pressent for her." He flashed a smile at the memory.
Tobi glanced at Luna and felt the heat rise in his face. He knew that the blush would stand out on his pale skin. "Luna......." He paused, then shrugged then stopped to face her.
"Luna, can... Can we.... Can we call this a-" He swallowed afraid of what she might say, "A date?"

Thankfully Luna never noticed that he was trying not to laugh during her phone call. She did pay attention after she hung up and started walking with him, though. Her eyes went wide and round when she heard what happened to his folks. "Your brother was kidnapped?" She winced. "Mom's always worrying about that happening to us, but we, well..." she stuttered to a stop. She finally forced out a small laugh. "Well, I suppose I should start paying a bit more attention to her from now on." She lifted a hand and ruefully brushed aside a loose strand of hair.
She blinked and looked at him as he blushed and asked her the major question. Well, the second or third major question. "Um... sure?" She blushed in response.

Tobi's blush darkened at her responce and with a bright smile motioned for her to go ahead as she was the one who really knew where they were going.
Tobi cleared his throat and continued with his previous statement about Danny. "Mum had him snached from her by this group of people. Danny was about to turn three..." Tobi looked at the floor. "He'd be almost five by now."
He looked at Luna. "Don't ever go running off on your own. That's how it happened. I guess your mum's right to worry. But, I think my mum's able to deal with the fact he's gone and never coming back. And she lets me walk through town alone... She say's the people who took Danny did it because he was 'her blood' and, because I'm not, they wont worry about me." Thinking he needed to explain a little more he continued.
"Mum's mum is elven. And she met... Man I asume... Who was half Feline and half Angel - He didn't tell my Nan that he was fallen so they had mum and the elders found out and she was sent away... Told never to have children. Sucks really. I miss Danny a lot."
Tobi finished trying to explain and still looking at Luna, he gave her a great big smile and said, "Whats your family like? I've met Papina and your mum but she seemed a little off that night..."

Luna blinked then turned briefly to make sure they were going in the right direction before looking back at Tobi, a pensive look on her face as she listened. "Wow, intense family history," she said finally, sounding stunned, "Getting kidnapped just because of who your parents are must suck. I hope he's okay..." she murmured at the end, looking downcast. Would that happen to her? She didn't know her mom's history. She looked up, startled, as he asked her about her family. Wow, it was almost like he could read her mind...
"Well, it seems normal. I mean, we do the normal routines of breakfast, chores, lunch, more chores, some training slash homework, supper, then relaxing, then sleep. Some days we go shopping, or out to spend some 'family time' together..." She blinked, trying to think. She opened her mouth, paused, then shut it again before finally speaking. "Was she acting odd that night? I didn't notice..." she mentioned the last bit absently, the final part of what he said having actually sunken in by that point.

They had arived at the Ice-cream palor- One of those facny ones that make there own ice-cream and gelato. It was a quaint little store that did any flavor you could dream of- It was Gaia after all they cater to all different pallets.
Tobi opened the door for Luna and waited for her to enter before going in himself. "Yeah my families much the same- Exept my little brother Matt's a big pain he trashes my room all the time and has a bad habbit of melting me into a puddle when we get into a fight- But thats life when your made from wax and your brother is made from Magma...." He sighed and smiled brightly at her.
So this was his first date with Luna. He'd been taught manners from his mother and desided he'd best make the most of it as when Luna tells her mum she went on a date it'd probably be his last.
"What type would you like? I'll order it if you want a seat- Or would you like to start walking home after ordering?" He flinched at the idea of walking Luna home- Her mum would probably be there with a shovel waiting for him.
