Neither licks nor kind words could wake this kit. Her body didn't seem to respond to much. When he groomed her- it was like a dream that was never ending. At least it wasn't a bad dream.. She was with her family.. Leaning against Hiro as usual and going about the day as if she were awake. Unknowing that she was in a condition that made her dream to not feel the pains of the outside world.
Her tails curled in, and so did her body to form a circle..Clinging to her tails unconscious.
His voice echoed. "RENNNN!!! HIROOO!!!" He couldn't hear not even the slightest stir. Seeing a father go mad? He quickly retreated and headed for other burrows..caves. Anything! Then.. he came up to the largest tree in the forest. He looked inside the uproots.. nothing. Completely nothing! Where had his kids gone!? He was about to break down.. almost. His wooden leg looking like it would give way at any moment.. His muscles didn't seem to get the wake up call after the couple miles.. Then.. the one place he didn't check..
"Ren... you went to go look for him.. didn't you. Alone.." He felt as if they were separated.. If they were it would be harder on all accounts.. He hoped. Wished that she had found him. Then he would be able to see them both... His heart raced.. almost drowning as he pushed against the tree for speed. His legs looking as if they were gunna give- but he pushed on. Til he was the large cave.. Covered in trees and apples. this- was-
The SAME cave that Jeiyana said she met the fire twin tailed.. He knew that was the only other place he didn't look.. As he got to clearing before the cave he stopped. Hoping- and wishing... that they were there. It was the last place near theyre home he didn't look.. His heart pounded in his chest.. Hoping.. He walked slowly..and cautiously.

 Kimi's voice rose until he was yelling her name, over and over again, desperate to wake her, his voice was loud and not breaking into tears, he wasn't able to cry. But he was panicked, she moved some, but still not waking, that wasn't good enough, he had to wake her!
Kimi rushed out of the cave looking for puddles, finding some and dipping his paws to wet the pale fur up to his elbows, he rushed back into the cave and dripped the water on her, this also didn't help. But then, he heard someone calling his name, his ears fell, that voice was their father, looking for them, he'd hid from that voice calling to him for days, because he couldn't go home, now. Now, Ren needed him, needed Da, he would know what to do to wake her, to help her, to heal her wound. Kimi rushed from the cave again and turned his ears, left and right, turned his eye this way and that, looking.
"Daaaaaaaa? Da, hurry, Ren! She won't wake up!" Then he rushed back inside the cave to call to Ren again, desperation mounting, not waiting for Tsu to greet him, just enough that he saw him, anything else was unimportant. Help. Ren.

As soon as he saw his son pop out- his heart sank.. The words coming out of his mouth- he couldn't believe! What happened!? He didnt waste anytime in finding it out on his own. He threw himself in a ran, sliding to a turn and looked at where Kimi was and Ren. Ren being laid out around a pair of rocks... And kimi scattered for his attention to her.
He felt his heart sink.. but quickly went to her side, curling in his arm- leaning down and hoisting her on his back. "Kimi! Hurry! Led the way- We need to get some herbs on her..!" He looked down.. seeing the blood swirl behind her as he lifted her. "Oh Goddess of Life......let not Goddess of Death take away Rennoa.. Please." He said softly. "Take care of her Goddess of Life...Take care of her." He said softly and Turned and moved in a motion that was swift yet steady so she wouldn't fall off.
Rennoa felt the shift.. but that was about it. In the dream it was that Kimi moved away from her and she fell where he was.. 'Kimi!' She squeeled in her dream and it quickly took over as if darkness edged towards her dream and making it in to a nightmare.
Her tails flickered as she hissed in warning of whoever was making her dreams go sour. In the real world. She grunted.. but nothing else. Her tails looking dead at her father's back.. dangingly over the edge.. as her limbs were. Twas a bit of worry from her father that she grunted but he kept going.

Kimi avoided the questions by saying nothing at all, just prancing his feet back and forth, everything was happening too slowly, Ren should be waking and she wasn't and even Da was here, and she still wasn't. Fear glazed over the young pup, if his fur was not already pale, he probably would have lost all color, as it was his vision was going dark. Maybe it was a trick of his panicked state, all the color had washed from him and he was left with a black and white reality, and he knew that if she didn't wake, his vision, his world around would go out forever, and he wouldn't mind, empty nothingness, his worst fear, it would be still more than he deserved.
Now there was running, this he could do, though he had never ran straight and true, he did now, their father called to him, lead, for her. There was need and he would answer it, He knew these woods, Da would take her home and he would find the needed herbs and bring them. As they ran, Kimi's gaze shifted all around, watching out for the medicine plants, and there! spots of color returned brief to him, green. He went and snatched out a mouthful, bitterness coated his tongue, slid down his throat, but he continued on, until reaching the cave of their home.
Kimi passed the herbs to their father and the bitterness sank into his stomach now. Da prayed, calling to the Life Goddess, Kimi dare not let her name pass his lips, if he did and She came forth, he would yet owe some part of himself to another. And as he sat now, staring at his sister, laying as if lifeless, he knew she wouldn't need a goddesses blessing, she was strong enough, there was fight in her, just as there was in their mother, Ren would pull through, and if she would have him, he would never leave her side.

Steady- straight- determined. He made his way towards his home, watching Kimi disappear in front of him. He had a growing concern .. but his children.. or so he vaguely remembered.. that they were his.. or he was connected to them. Heart jumping from fright. Then when he got in to the cave, he slipped her in to her bed. Licking at her face and nuzzling her softly. She was gunna be alright.. he knew it.
"Kimi- kimi- " he called to see if he had found th greens needed. Slowly he flipped her over on her stomach so he could examine her head wound..
When she was let down, and rolled over. She stayed put.. not really moving now since the emptiness in her mind. Leaving her.. a nightmare.. and now she was in pure darkness. How empty.. depressing it was to be here... in the lonlines. She hated this place where she was at.. Aching for something- t happen.. Kimi.. just once.
The visions from back and forth around her.. The wound.. was still filling with blood, and damping her fur. Infection slid in.. just a lil but with the herbs and things her father knew- it would probley heal quickly. Though taking a toll on. her body.. Which would roll in to many things that the future had been effected on.

Kimi sat numb nearby, his vision still disrupted with the terror holding him. Black and white, light and dark, no color. He watched as Tsu turned Ren over and then a color came to him. Red. Somehow the wound still bled, seeping red into her dark fur. An ordinary color turned hideous to his sight. Kimi had passed the herbs to this father, a large mouthful clumped together with their root ball still attached, he hadn't been careful in picking them, but they grew in bunches all around their cave home, if even more was needed.
As the red blood spread, Kimi was torn between two actions, the first being flee, run and keep running until he found the ocean and then... The other was to call out to Ren, but his voice was lost to him, he couldn't find it to speak, his bitter coated tongue felt heavy and lame, when just previous he had shouted, calling over and over, found help in getting their Da's attention, now he couldn't gather the effort to whisper her name past his lips.
Instead, Kimi chose a third action, lifting his paws that felt as heavy as lead, he took a slow and careful step, he wavered unsteady. Another step, closer to her and Da, a third, somehow he carried his own weight forward and then when he was close enough, he touched her, hesitant, just his paw on hers and lay down before her, nose to nose and tears soaked his face.

Once he got the greens, he went right to work on mashing them and adding. Mashing and finally had enough on his paw to start the healing. He didn't watch his son connect to ren in that way. Rather. He didnt see the feelings conveyed..Slowly he pressed the paw of greens in the wound.. feeling it rather in a dangerous spot- hopefully not fatal.. He hoped. Her heart was still beating- wasn't it...? He kept spreading it over until he thought it was enough to stop and hold.
Then he looked at Kimi. "You protect her ok... Im gunna gather some fish up, so when she wakes she will have something to eat. Yesh.....? Talk to her..." He nosed the child and looked to ren. "I'll be back quickly.." Then he got up and swiftly got out of the cave.. Moving to his side to look back before he left.
Ren's fur damped green now.. over the red that filled out. Now in darkness... she looked to her paw.. and it glowed and felt warm... In her darkness she nuzzled her paw softly.... With the want and need.. When he put his paw on hers- out of her dream. She held his...a little harder... Parts of her fur twitched. A mili second her tail- then her ear.. then her shoulder. Misc places where the body started to react to the medicine..

Kimi couldn't manage to look up and answer his father, he nodded, but half heartily. Protect her? She needed protection from him. The patch covering Kimi's bad eye was soaked now with his tears and his other eye was blurry with them, but still he sat and watched her, though he missed her minute twitches and he missed Tsu looking back at them as he went. Kimi's blurry vision had no color again, no reds, no greens and no blue, though he was sitting inches from Ren's pretty blue gem and circlet he didn't register it. Past his tears he watched for her eyes, they mirrored his own in color when they were opened again, the irises were as black as his own, hers alone, along with their mothers matched his. Their Da's and siblings all differed, even from each other.
"Ren?" He found his voice a little later, "Ren." It was thick with his tears, slow and soft, but once he found it again, he kept calling her name, calling to her softly, urging her awake again, and okay and for forgiveness, though he knew he did not deserve it, he wanted to hear her say it was okay, or not okay, or anything from her so long as she spoke to him again, still the tears ran from his eyes.

When Tsu left... and only the place of Ren's side was accompanied by Kimi.. a calm went over her body. Darkness.. at least it felt warm.
Beating...
Beating..
Slow.. Then.
She heard her name. 'Hm?' She looked around.. Then a light flashed over her so bright.. that made her slit her eyes just a little bit.. It was blank for a moment... all light and that there was no way that... she could wake; but now... she was.. wasn't she. Looking for the source of words.. her image was just a blurr... and her paw felt warm.. then her neck clung. She couldn't move for the moment and the eyes of her slits stayed in a blank stare. Her mouth could not move neither could she use words.. sadly. She wan mostly numb to her shoulders.. then half her waist down~ was numb of feeling. the lightness.. was it Kimi beside her? Had he been there this whole time!?

Da had said, 'Talk to her. Kimi kept it up, though he didn't seem to notice the reactions it was bringing to life in Ren, all he saw was her still and blurred form past the tears swimming in his eye. He repeated her name, slowly at first and then with gaining strength. He asked her to wake up, he told her again how sorry he was she had come looking for him and found him in such a state, that he had bit her. Then he spoke of better times and other things, telling her that when she woke up they'd have some fun, just the two of them, that he'd make it up to her somehow. Words like promises poured past his lips and his tears still ran, but slowed now, he sniffled and wiped a paw across his face then looked to her again and saw her eyes as slits.
"Ren? Are you awake, Ren? Do you hear me at all?"

She didn't move much.. Just barely gave some twitches.. her eyes closing some- then opening just ever so slightly to a slit.. His words were being swirled together and it was hard to hear him- but she did.. As he spoke she let her mind drift to the memories they had.. and the memories they would bring to the future..
To show him.. in fact that she was listening.. her paw tightened a little under his.. Then pulsed again.
She was indeed alive. There with him.. But from the loss of blood.. her body stopped moving but her eyes remained slitted.. Even her heart stilled. Her father deemed right. It was a place on her head that was too delicate in their child age to have grown closed. The hole in their skull.. that would gradually close as they grew.
Tsukurou grazed in.. having dipped in to the ocean to get these fish.. his maw full of them as he pulled them in.. Settling them in the hole he made for their food to keep it from either getting stepped upon or poisoned. Cutting and de-scaling them. He was putting his all in to this to do so he could feed his now wounded child.. and the child that seemed to stay by his side as well.

Kimi used his free paw to wipe at the tears flowing from his eye, he felt so helpless and lost, even when her paw tightened under his, he still worried for her, he wished that their father would return swiftly, she needed -his- care more than what her weak willed brother could give. He grew quiet then, just laying beside her watching for breath, movement, but mostly just being beside her to keep her safe.

She lost breath completely. And her heart stopped from lack of hair to blood to the head..
When he found that the food was ready and the leafs he grined was done.. He picked them up, both little coconut bowls and walked over.. And as soon as he touched Ren.. His eyes grew hide. "REN!" He curled her in to him and flipped her over. Her small body moved like a smooth rock. "Kimi why did you not tell me!" He exclaimed.. almost mad like and pressed his paw against her chest. She was at least two or three of his paws put together. Breathing in to her. "Come on.. Come on ren.. Wake up!" He did it again.. Her snout was cold..
"REN!" He quickly put the herbs on her head and patted it down to stop the bleeding more.. Breathing in to his and pushing his paw down.. He did this almost in desperation. He never knew the day when his child- any .. and now his own. Would die in front of him. "no dont leave us.. come on your stronger than this!" He exclaimed and pushed down again. Softly but with some shocking force. "Kimi~ Kimi come here. I think she is missing half the air im giving out~ Come. Tilt her head back and breath in to her. Then push down on her chest ok~! We gotta save her. We have to!" His pale yellow eyes looking to his son as though he loved the love of his life.. But really. He loved all his children and even the adopted ones.
