My trumpet is a Selman. Ever since I got it, none of my band directors have heard of it. They all expected it to fall apart. Does anyone else have a lesser known brand of instrument?

Yeah, my band director called my flute a peice of junk! lol. I think its a medalist? we dont know what it is, and it was made in our town too, and its pretty old. It was falling apart but we pretty much got it fixed up....lol

I used to have a Bundy clarinet. Found it in a pawn shop, it was really old and needed alot of fixing up, that's what I started out on.

Did a quick google search and a forum on trumpetmasters.com or something mentioned a Selman C Trumpet. There's a company named Selman that sells lower priced instruments for students. Most of the other posts says in a piece of junk though.

I know what you mean. I'm using a Monique Bb Trumpet and had it for three years.
