For me it was a TV show called The West Wing with Bradley Whitford(who i aspire to be xd ), the late John Spencer, and Martin Sheen. It was around the time of Bush getting elected and ended.......in may 2006..that still hurts, but it made the Liberal opponent to the entire school you see today lol I'm actually reading Hardball now lol...

I became interested in politics when I wrote a letter to President Clinton when I was seven or so. xd
After that, I would watch the presidential debates... but my interest really came about when Bush was running for office the first time... and won. stare

I don't think it was any one particular thing. I know I watched the last two elections, so I've been somewhat interested in politics since at least 2002 (when I was 12). I never thought I'd be doing it an university until last year though. It was the course 'Revolutions, Dictators and Ideologies' that caught my eye whee

Something to do with a slow bitter hatred developing of a party that claims to be one thing but sets policies that are quite the opposite. smile That, and the 2004 and 2006 elections were fun to watch. :O

In one sense I've been political all my life since my parents were Republican activists.
However, I didn't really get into it until about 2000, when we were nearly assaulted because of Mike's pentacle T-shirt (we weren't trying to be obnoxious, honest, we were on our way to a Pagan potluck picnic) and we realized that in that municipality we would be the ones arrested even though the drunk Christian guy started it. This led to a realization that we had to fight for our rights, which eventually led us to the LP.
(Yes, I'm sorta back. Not sure how often-- my activism right now is insane post-Convention. I'm really having some hectic stuff. Hopefully once N-LA and the NP caucus are started things will be better but that could be months away)

Although I can't say for certain when exactly my interest in politics arose, I'd guess it was when I was 14 or 15, around the time I decided to become a vegetarian. Things just stemmed off from that.
