Does anyone know what the song is about? Here are a couple themes I can think of (though I'll admit songmeanings.net helped me ^^')
1) The irony of being able to make a good song by saying, for the most part, nothing (hence the "bla bla blas") It also relates to how good artists will sometimes write mediocre songs just to get played on the radio 2) According to one theory, this song's related to a lobotomy. I see it as a metaphorical lobotomy, but if anyone wants to take a stab at and expand this theory, I'd be really happy. 3) It could just be a song that, in the end, is about nothing. Think "I Am the Walrus" by the Beatles, which was written because Lennon felt people were getting hung up on "symbolism" in the Beatles' songs. 4) (Relates to Theory 1) The video goes along with the "Reject False Icons" campaign. In the video, the Gorillaz are walking on the heads of zombie-fied pop icons (I'm positive Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson are among them)
And now, if someone would like to discuss the video with me, I'd be very pleased. *gets off her soapbox*

layzy the bit where the face appeared with competition winner over it kinda left me in a wtf state It made me think of something from American Idol...maybe it was someone from "World Idol," or whatever they called the show when it originally aired in Britain. That'd work with the "Reject False Icons" theme.

I saw the video a few weeks ago. The song is pretty good, I love the "Blah" part. But the video kinda creeped me out and 2-D sounded diffrent, but when he carried Noodle on his back I was squeeling.
EWWWWW.. Kelly Clarkson. xp

Rinny Z. ViewtifulVampire The video was so bizzare. The zombie heads, 2-D and Noodle get close and cozy, and that one staute. Does anyone know which album has "Rock It" on it? I don't think any album has it. Shame.
But I think 2-D and Noodle were adorable. >w< It was just a piggy back ride. <3 Aaw. I soooo agree about the 2D and Noodle thing being adorable blaugh blaugh I mean, both of them are cute. If you watch carefully, sometimes a zombie head flashes on the whole screen really quickly.
