He has to choose someone with a lot more experience than he has... I was thinking either Clinton or Richardson.

I've supported Obama since he started but I have 1 logical places he could go The direction of Unifier-Clinton Theory 1 involves going into the convention with 34 million votes so all wed need is about 17 mil of independents and a few republicans, the theory has support by the continual story of that so many would vote for McCain or WOULD NOT VOTE come November, now i understand that something said in may doesn't always hold true but you would have to spend time and lots of money energizing your base, which would be hard to do.One interesting CNN poll showed that if the ticket was Obama/Clinton v. McCain/Romney it would be 52-46. a rout. That makes it the only choice, you need the left flank to even make it to the battlefield, then you work on independents.

I don't think so. I think if he runs with Clinton, not only will he gain Clinton supporters [many of which are supporting McCain now... I almost did too] but that would mean an almost definite win.

I think what Song means is that, despite how accepting most of us are, there would still be a lot of people who had issues with a black president AND a woman vice president.
Though really, at this point in the game, it won't be the determining factor for who Obama chooses as his running mate. It's more about the qualities and ideals than the race or gender now (as it should be).
Some people are saying that he'll win Hillary's votes if he chooses her, and some people say he'll lose some of his own, because a lot of people for Barack are against Hillary.
Personally, I think choosing her would be a good move, as getting votes goes.
But I think that choosing her would be a bad idea, considering the fact thaaaat, if he's killed (jeez I hope not), she would be the next president. I don't like Hillary, so I wouldn't want that. But I would still vote for him, because I like Obama.

I got that much but the way he said it sounded as though he was implying some thing..... But it could just be me *Shrugs*

He just posted a bulletin on MySpace. (Yeah, I'm MySpace friends with Barack Obama. XD) He saaaaid: Quote: Friend -- I have some important news, and I'm pleased to share it with you first. I've chosen Joe Biden to be my running mate. Joe and I will appear for the first time as running mates this afternoon in Springfield, Illinois -- the same place this campaign began more than 19 months ago. I'm excited about hitting the campaign trail with Joe, but the two of us can't do this alone. We need your help to keep building this movement for change. Please let Joe know that you're glad he's part of our team. Share your personal welcome note and we'll make sure he gets it: http://my. barackobama. com/welcomejoe Thanks for your support, Barack P.S. -- Make sure to turn on your TV at 2:00 p.m. Central Time to join us or watch online at http://www. BarackObama. com. So it's not Hillary. It's Joe Biden. Senator Cjgabueg was right.

Ok, but i must confess to flipping, after a Hillary statement(i cant remember which) I changed for Biden, he is the next best choice in actuality, yes hes older, but hes the 4th most experienced person in the Senate(idk about congress), but hes only 44th oldest in the Senate, good pickup, Fmr. Chair of Sen. Judiciary, and Current Chair for Sen. Foreign Relations....and well Attack Dog, anyone else notice he had 4 McBush Quote...and everyone else was cheering like an episode of Yo Momma(I know, they were Biased, but cmon)

Haha, the heading in the paper this morning was 'Obama Picks VP - Not Clinton'. I'm not sure if that's because most Kiwis probably don't know who Biden is or if we're supposed to be surprised that it wasn't Clinton.

I would imagine it is because close to nobody in NZ knows who he is.
