Okay. I was digging around in my closet when I came by a red leather coat (yep, I have one) that my sister has left there that she bought. I sat there and thought that I could use it to make a Genesis Cosplay Costume for conventions and Halloween.

I'm happy with my hair. I am a brunette, and I so have the blue eyes. My hair just needs to be cut like Genesis's.

I have already planed out what I need to get. Problem is... the shoulder pads.

I don't know what to make them with. I'm a cheap b*****d, and I know how I want them to go on (without damaging the jacket itself, my sister would flip). I want to ask: What to make the shoulder pads with?

Here's a reference pic of Genesis:

I'd go with thin cardboard. That's always a great material for cheap cosplays. Just cut and paint. To keep them on as to not wreak the jacket, I'd recommend string. Have the pads form to your shoulders, and then put string on the back of the collar, and on the front if necessary (black string so it's less noticeable).

Well, that's my suggestion anyways. XD

Another option is the craft foam. You know, the really thin, pliable stuff? Well if you cut the design out of that, and then glued on some thin plastic over it, it would be paintable and wouldn't look too cheap. Well, that's what I'd do anyways. Sorry if it's not of any help. Also, I'd go with Balthea's idea of string to attach them. On another note, he's wearing heels...that makes me laugh.

You could try soccer shin guards! If you paint them they'll be fine, and you won't have to permanently attach them to the coat. They may not be very comfortable though. Or regular kneepads, those might have more of the diamond shaped look.

OMFG that was my idea KOMI!!!!
Anyways, i suggest that if you have any shoes you don't wear anymore or don't fit, that you cut off the outside leather and tape or glue them on.
