Oh, dear. Shot time! She had called and made an appointment earlier, had assured Tammy-bear that she would be just fine with the two of them, and there she was! Luckily, Ravji had agreed to take Adlai, Etsu, and Kane so she didn't have the extra strapped around and two her. Just Gideon and Zavier.
Unfortunately, there was nothing 'just' about it. Giddy could crawl but he couldn't walk, not yet, so he was strapped to her back, where Zavier couldn't be trusted. Zav had to be strapped to her front, to keep him from pulling at her hair or something without being chastized for it. He was hyper cuteness, a stark contrast to his brothers quiet seriousness.
Thank god for Tam. Compared to most mothers of infants, Cal was well-rested and vibrant looking, with just faint smudges of dark under her eyes and no apparent exhaustion. Tammuz liked to take over when he was home, showering the babies and other children with affection and time and trying his best to keep Callee well. She knew she was one of the luckier women out there.
But, now, she was here. Callee was actually on time! So very excited, she was. Zavier was squealing and he was flailing his arms in an attempt to tug at his mothers fiery hair. Callee was trying to keep a hold on her purse and to bat at her sons hands away, murfing as she pushed her way inside.
"I'm on time!" She said breathlessly once they were inside, her hair frazzled. Zavier succeeded in grabbing some locks, latching on with a giggle. Gideon just peered over his mothers shoulder to the receptionist. He was the GOOD baby.
"I- OW! Zav! Stop it - we're here for booster shots."

Selma looked over the babies with a look of disgust. She despised young children, especially babies. They had a habit of being loud and annoying. The last thing she wanted was some single mother with her kids. So she pointed to the farest away corrner (the toys were over there for a reason) silently with a mildly annoyed look on her face.
"Sit down...over there, and Ronchas will see you when he's availiable." Which Selma would make sure would be as soon as possible. She was already typing up the quick little warning and sending it along to the man.
She didn't want to deal with the babies for any longer than she had too.

Callee waited until the woman looked away before making a face in return, sticking out her tongue at the receptionist. Why work at a fertility clinic if you didn't want to see babies? Or maybe she just didn't like redheads.
Who knew? It had happened before.
Despite her words and actions, Callee hauled her two children to the corner. Zav was fussing and sitting with Gideon to her back would just be cruel so, the kids came unstrapped. She kept it on but Zav was put on her lap firmly and Gideon on the floor. He was a quiet baby.
For that, she was grateful.
"Abahghabf!" Zav squealed, reaching for his brother. Gideon looked up at his mother, giving Callee an expression of 'do it, already'. She made a face but put the other toddler on the ground. Zavier squealed once more, small frame crawling to Gideon and... petting down his hair.

Ronchas ignored the first two of the warnings. he was taking special notes of cloud whales, for the new cloud whale twins he was monitoring. He didn't want to let anything slip by his attention that could threaten the babies health but Selma would not be stopped. So he let out a sigh, stopped his research and headed out, muttering to himself darkly.
Even Ronchas could get annoyed.
But it didn't last long. The mintue he saw the darling babies he beamed, really beamed. Oh boy, Ronchas loved every single one of the children that came from his serum, in how own little way and seeing them so healthy and there he was overjoyed.
"Hello, hello!" he called out warmly, almost ready to give the mother a hug for birthing the children so perfectly. But of course she did and now he had absolutely no use for her anymore. It was only the children that mattered from now on.
"So glad you're here. Come, come, my office awaits." Ronchas urged. He bent down to grab Zav, attracted to the energy of the child but despite his care for the child it didn't mean children loved him back. In fact he tended to scare most children with his 'scray clown' smile.

Unfortunately, the doctor was to be detoured from picking up the infant. Gideon, always supremely watchful an protective of his louder, weaker brother, shoved himself in front of the dark haired boy when Ronchas got near them. His gaze was not the most welcoming in the world, little face pulled into a disapproving mask. Zav, meanwhile, whined a little from behind him.
Callee flushed and plucked up Zav for herself; the boy continued to squirm against her, whining just a little at abandoning his brother. When their mother picked up Gideon as well, and gave his temple a kiss, both twins calmed down a good deal.
"Thank you but they're both - I mean - " Callee, flustered, just shifted for a moment to get them more comfortable on her hips. "Gideon is protective and Zav just doesn't like being away from him. They'll be better once they can both be together in the office or... or something. They just don't like being split up."
In fact, Gideon was shifting ever so slightly to keep himself closer to Ronchas then Zav himself. HE was the one to keep his brother safe and away from a strange person. Thankfully, Mother was helping.

Ronchas just smiled and nodded. He was one of the hardest people to insult. He didn't care, he wasn't too fond of children himself, not them as a breed but these children were different. They were his children. Oh yes he was aware of the parents and stuff but the parents would have them if it wasn't for him. He smiled softly and lead the family to his office.
"It's fine, it's fine. This is a simple check up. I want to know how the boys are doing and then give them a little booster shot. Nothing big, just something to keep them healthy, healthy." Ronchas explained with a wide smile as she started to pull out the nessicary things. Including some lolipops. Not one to care to much about teeth or fat build up he was happy to give kids a little treat to make them like being here more.
He'd be happy to have private sesions with all his kids.

Callee managed to finangle her way to Ronchas' back office, both twins weighing heavy on her. Even with only Zav squirming, they weren't exactly light children. "Will there be any side effects? Some boosters make kids have slight fevers or feel sickly..."
Gideon was still eyeing the good doctor with just a hint of protectiveness to them. Zavier, on the other hand, just didn't care. He was guming at his fist, nose all wrinkled up.
"Yes, baby. Dirty hands taste bad." The redhead murmured. "One first lesson you learn in life." He mumbled around his fist. Little butthead.
They were promptly sat on whatever surface was there for the kiddlets. Zav simply latched onto his brother.

Ronchas shook his head to the nice lady's question. He'd never harm one of his children. Their parents on the other hand....Well none of that mattered right now. He had lots of little babies that needed to become children.
"No side effects, no side effects." he promised her as he looked over the kids. One so shy and the other so bold. Both could be very useful in their own way though he frowned over the shy one. Well it would all be taken care of.
"Let me ask some questions. How are the boys doing? How do they match up to their peers? What have they learned so far?"

Callee oomphed as she managed to set the boys down. Gideon let Zav squirm away although he gave his mother a look that said, 'are you KIDDING me'? Zav didn't mind, though, and just beamed at Ronchas.
"M'walkin!" He announced proudly, still stumbled and chubby voiced in the way of a very young child. He was adorable at it, at least?
"They've started talking. And walking." Callee offered with a breathless laugh. "Zav talks, Giddy walks. We think they can do both - they're so smart! - but we haven't seen proof of that yet."
"C'n talk." Zav defended.
"Oh - Zav grows spikes when upset. Giddy heals fast and doesn't feel pain." Her eyes narrowed a bit at that. "We aren't sure if that's because of you or from Tammys side but if something goes wrong with them, I will blame you. And I will hurt you." That last part was said cheerfully, as if she was talking about puppies or something equally awesome - not a probable murder.
"But other then that, no. They're perfectly normal. They enjoy bathing, playing in dirt, and Zav loves music. Giddy won't let go of the crayons. ABC's, playing little logic games - all the fun things."
"Now!" Callee grabbed Zav and held out his arm. "Shots, please? They need a nap soon."
"N'nap!"

Ronchas didn't even blink at the murder threat. He noted down all the growth and frowned a little over the kids. A medical frown, not a worried one, more like he was concentrating as he took some some staticits. He messured and weighed them first, needing to get the basics down before he stepped back and smiled at the mother again.
"I'm sure it's just my serum, my serum. But there's no need to worry, they'll be fine, just fine." he promised with a nod. They were good, healthy kids, that was perfect, just perfect. He took a needle and went to Zavier first. He would be the one to feel pain so Ronchas felt it was good to get it done first.
Ronchas was many things that casted doubt over his legitmacy as a doctor but one of them was not incompentant. He easily slid the needle in and gave the shot to Zavier with as little pain as possible. He cleaned the tiny wound and put a band-aid over it before he offered him a lolipop.
"One down one to go!" Ronchas declared cheerfully before he took the other needle and did the whole process again. "There we go, there we go. All done now Mrs Mommy, your kids will be healthy and happy and fine." he priased.

Zav, oddly enough, hardly noticed. Young children hardly registered pain until their family was freaking out and Callee was rather serene. She kept petting at her children a they received their shots, humming under her breath.
The dark haired boy gummed at his lolly as his brother, unresponsive, had his shot as well. Gideon took it with a stoic silence that was so very common with him. As soon as they were done, they were scooped up, cuddled close. Again, Zav beamed at the doctor.
"See there, puppies? That wasn't too bad, was it? And now you have candy." She made kissy faces at them happily and Gideon, always rather affectionate when it came to his mother, tilted his head to rest against her temple. Ronchas received a curious look from callee.
Serum.
Huh.
Damn.
"Well. Thanks, I guess. We'll see you later. Ready to go home, kiddlets?"
"Dadee!"
Callee laughed and hauled them up higher. "C'mon then." And out they went. Time for shopping, and daddy.
