She laughed, and despite herself, couldn't stop at the expression on his face. Oooohhhh dear, he still had some to learn. Giggling and then hiccuping as she got her laughter under control, Kallisto clapped him on the shoulder, "You didn't do anything. That was a kiai - I told you I'd show you something. You walked in on me working on it earlier, remember?" A big grin was spread from ear to ear as she spoke, taking the technoring with a nod of thanks.
"The kiai's an essence attack meant to startle your opponent - which, as you know, it does quite effectively." Chuckling a little, she stepped back, "You know of your Essence, correct? Imagine it pooling in your throat chakra, concentrate on that and then kiai - projecting that energy outwards. That's what I did." Winking, she gestured for him to give it a try, "Go on, learn something new and useful~"

Abacus picked himself up, offering a shaky grin. "Yeah, and it got me that time too!" He leaned down to dust himself off, then rose to listen to her explanation. Here was the tricky part -- a bit of doubt still lingered from her shout. He was rather proud of his tenor voice, and having a Rakshasa copy it really forced him to pay attention to it.
"I think I see," he began, then scratched the back of his head a bit nervously. "Professor Melonia teaches chakras, right? I'm afraid my only experience with her was, er, at the Valentine's day event this year..." He blushed, recalling his pin-up was passed around quite a bit before shoving it away with a grin. "But I think I can imagine what you're getting at."
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, allowing himself to relax. He knew he was a Phlegmatic, but what would his Essence look like? Water, he decided, imagining a pool of it forming into his throat -- not just a pool, but a small whirlpool. He could feel it now, and all that was left was to unleash it in a sudden burst -- a sudden wave. His eyes snapped open and directed his energy out in a loud yell.

She was prepared for the sound but she still winced as his Essence crashed against her own. Clapping she nodded, "Well done, just like that! Just practice some more and you might have a trick up your sleeve for later on." Beaming at him, she patted his shoulder before re-affixing her techoring to the right spot and then activating it, alongside her helmet.
Black and red the set was obviously not quite done but neither was it poor looking either. Rather, it enhanced her colourations and leant a definite fighter's aura to her. "You wanted a picture?" Smiling, she tilted her head to the side and made a peace sign.

Abacus shook his head, marveling at the skill. "Whoa," he breathed, rubbing his throat. "That was..." He shook his head again and spread his arms out in a shrug, lost for words. "Oh, I shall! I'll also make sure that I'm alone to prevent another, er, run-in yeah?"
When her gear appeared, he let out a whistle before activating his own technoring, save for the only thing that appeared was his camera. He laughed and took her picture, grinning. "I'll find a way to get you copies," he promised, "Thank you very much for teaching me, too! I think I'd best go and lie down for a bit." He rubbed his arm, laughing, "Perhaps instead of a bit for awhile, rather. I look forward to facing you in the future." Abacus gave Kallisto a deep bow before turning away in search of an ice pack and a nap.
