Ashoka looked into his eyes. She could see how confused he was how lost he was by this body's reaction. She wanted to continue to play with him and mess with him. His young pliant body called to hers. She wanted to play.
But the sisters presence was a bother...she could feel evil intentions form her. She turned tearing her gaze from her target to her attacker. Her back turned towards storm as her body twisted and she faced Starr. "Naughty sister!"

The moment Ashoka's gaze left Storm's, he reacted, pulling water out of the air around him and sending it as fast as he could towards the hole in the girl's back. Even as he did it, he found himself trying to resist his actions - why was he doing it? He knew he had to but he didn't really want to ...
What was wrong with him?
But Starr's voice in his head helped him to overcome his hesitation, and it was as if he had not hesitated at all as the water sped towards the girl's apparent weak spot.
Starr was surprised by the girl's sudden turning towards her, and she stopped so quickly that she fell to her feet. She was glad that the fire remained between herself and the girl but now she didn't know what to do ...
... until she saw from her brother's eyes that he had implemented her plan for her.
"You're the one who's naughty!" she retorted to Ashoka, rising to her feet and folding her arms across her chest defiantly, safely protected by the barrier of fire, buying time so that she could be certain Storm had aimed the water right. She held her breath, watching through her brother's eyes, her own eyes still wide open and glaring at the other girl, as the water headed straight for the hole, directed by the magic of the twins.

The attack from the brother caught Ashoka completely by surprised. She gasped and tried to turn to look at him as the water hit true. She could feel it flow in and forced the sticks and rocks she had used to lock her gears in an active were flushed from her body.
She gasped and her eyes turned back to Storm's. "Brother?" She asked her voice low. It had taken her so long to lock herself up that she had only second. She tried to grab her key but her hand slipped from it and as the metal key dropped to the ground she slipped and stumbled her eyes showing shock and betrayed.
She gasped again and reach out a hand towards him as her eyes glazed over and still and her body fell forward into the mud her hand just touching his fire barrier.

Storm's eyes were wide and shocked as he watched what his actions had done to the girl. What was happening? Why was she collapsing like that?
Had he killed her?
Starr was ecstatic, and she made several pulling motions in the air until the fire around her dissipated.
"Storm!" she cried, running around the girl to make his fire go away as well. "Storm! Are you okay?"
Once the fire was gone from around him, she darted forward to give him a hug-
-but Storm, blinking out of his stupor, pushed her away as if her touch burned him.
"Don't touch me!" he screamed, jumping back and holding his arms around his body as if he were trying to warm himself. Tears pooled in his eyes, and he stared at the body of the girl that had attacked the two of them. Why did he feel so guilty about doing that to her? Why? She had made him feel so strange, so ... shameful ... Why did he feel like this?
Starr blinked back tears of her own. What had happened to her brother? Why was he acting like that towards her? Hadn't she tried to protect him?
What had the other girl done to him, that he was so afraid?
Her eyes moved down to the girl who was lying on the ground now, motionless. What was she? She was like no second they had seen before ...

Ashoka was panicing in her mind. She had not been 'dead' in so long. She hated feeling so week and not able to do anything. She winced mentaly her eyes still looking towards Storm and screaming in her mind. She hated being like this. She clawed at the walls of her mind desperate to get out.
Her body laid motionless and crumpled. She couldn't even focus on what they were doing. She was to busy trying to get out. She tiredto get Storm to look at her again but she could not even move. Her breath was stilled in her chest.
She was still shocked that it was the boy that had stopped her gears. After she had been so nice to him.

Starr looked down at the girl and saw the fire in her eyes. It was a bad idea, she decided, for them to stay there, and she moved to take her brother's arm again, refusing to let go when he tried to pull away from her again.
"Come on," she said softly. "Let's go home."
At the mention of home, Storm nodded, and he closed his eyes and lowered his head shamefully. A tear slipped down his cheek, and he reached out and took his sister's hand.
But when they started walking away, he made sure there was as much space between them as was possible.

Ashoka screamed louder in her mind trying to get the boy's attention she had caught him before. She needed him now. He could not leave her not here not like that. She tired to move. But she was trapped she winced and screamed louder. Tears filling her mental eyes. "No don't leave me!!"

As the twins walked away, Storm winced visibly, his head ducking down as if reacting to something flying at him. He moved as if to look over his shoulder, but he had barely moved his head to the side when he stopped and looked straight forward once more.
He couldn't look back. He couldn't. He had to look forward, to move forward, to return home, where he belonged, and where he could feel safe ... and figure out just what had happened to him here.
