"Make a few friends who can vouch for you, if need be. Then, if you deside you want to stay, try and request an audience with the queen as soon as possible. The longer you linger, the more it seems you are fickle and unsure. Showing you really want to be part of this herd will give you better chances, i'd imagine." She said. She hadn o idea, however, in truth, to what her mother would prefer. She rarely spoke to the older mare, after all.

Sekhemt smiled and bobbed her head in assent. “Thank you Mistress Yi; sounds like I really need to get out there and meet some people.” Some people who weren’t idiots for preference. Actual stupidity she could deal with fine, but in her opinion idiots weren’t the same thing at all. Idiots were the ones that had a reasonably functioning brain but just didn’t use it for anything. It couldn’t be that hard to find a decent Nequus or two here abouts, she was sure. Perhaps if she could meet a couple of people today, be getting along well with them tomorrow and the next day, then try to get an audience with the Queen she could be accepted here within ten suns or so.
The first step to putting this plan into motion, of course, was parting company with Yi in order to go and meet people. She didn’t want to make the heiress angry, however, and so the striped Jala made no move to hasten their parting. Doubtless she would have heiress stuff to do pretty soon in any case; there was no great rush.

"yes, you do." She glanced skyward, thinking. "I havn't been around the main herd as of late so i have no idea where they would be staying. Best bet is to take to the air and search...."
"Mistress..."
"Ah yes, thank you Irada." she nodded to Sekhemt. "My apologiese for not being able to accompany you, but Irada is correct, i have other things i should attend to. YOu seem smart enough not to get yourself killed. Take to the air, search out a large group. If you are lucky enough you might run into an offical and you might be able to request an audience sooner then you'd think. well, good day to you."

The gold-eyed mare smiled and nodded her gratitude to the other mare. “Thank you for giving me some of your time, Mistress Yi; I’ll do my best to stay out of trouble.” With these words and a last nod to the Katilenuck, the striped Jala turned away and set off at a trot. As yet she wasn’t quite sure where she was going, but she hoped it included interesting people to talk to.
