As they all exited the council room, Poy'loyi felt a little relieved, but also a little let down. After all that time in the hydroponics facility, she had been hoping she'd finally be able to wear what she would like when she wanted. It looked as though she was going to have to find out exactly how much was 'some form of it.' Perhaps she could wear part of it and find something else in her things to match it. Oh well.
Looking around as they walked towards the junction where the temples split, Poy'loyi realized that she would be rooming with the only other Sith - Anastasia? What a strange name, she thought. is her clan name a part of that?
Sliding across the hallway gracefully as she walked, she made her greeting. Basic was so crude, but on the flight she had drilled herself to get it right. "Hello, my name is Poy'loyi'nercathi. It appears that we will be sharing quarters."

For Ana nothing was to rejoice about nothing was to complain about. She was here and thats that. Though the mention of a roommate did cause her to frown a bit as she wasn't one to mingle well with others. As she started down the hall deliberately staying a bit back from the others a Twi'lek girl suddenly popped up beside her.

"Anastasia, Ana, is that all?" Straight to the point and slightly bitter with it, she still wasn't happy having spent a few hours in a space ship prior to ariving and all she honestly wanted was sleep.

The Twi'leki girl took only a moment to translate the words - but their meaning was slightly perplexing. Was that all? She didn't know what 'Ana' meant. The whole name, or the whole inquiry? Basic was just so.... basic. It didn't have the complexity to say what you wanted to say!

In response, Poly'loyi gave her own open ended answer. "Err, I suppose so." She wasn't quite sure what she was supposing, but it made the most sense as an answer. Keeping pace with the other girl, she continued the conversation. They had to get to know one another, after all. "So what caused you to come here?" There had to have been some reasons the scouts had found her, out of all the lot. Poly'loyi knew her own 'event' had been rather amusing. Maybe there were similarities?

If such a simple phrase perplexed the Twi'leki girl then their rooming would surely have issues has Ana was nothing but sarcasm and snide remarks.

With the odd response Ana assumed the conversation was done with and started to pick up her pace but it seemed her new roommate had other plans in mind. "Why did I come here? Well let me think, I hated the kids where I came from, our kind already relies on the force, and thanks to the jerks I dealt with I was good enough to be picked." Sure it wasn't the full story, she didn't add the part about running away from home when her parents said no and hitching a ride to the temple with her sponsor who just happened to be willing to take a little extra 'cargo' on his trip. Something about feeling bad for her and having shared the same life line. Still she was here, and hopefully that would be better then back home.

That didn't go so well. Poly'loyi had expected a story like hers; she'd had no idea that a whole race could be force-sensitive! It had sounded so rare when the scout had sat her down and explained it to her. "I... was working in the hydroponics facility where I worked. The plants, the fungus, they..." What was the right Basic word? "They followed me. Looked at me when I went by, as they do with lights over the span of hours. No one else had that happen to them. When they reported the occurrence, that's when the scout came."

It all sounded so simple compared to the other girls'.

She stopped turning to face the other girl as she spoke. How did she not know that all Miraluka were naturally blind and used the force to see?

"You wana know why were all able to use the force?" She didn't bother to wait for a response with bitter irritation, aimed not truely at Poly'loyi but rather at the fate she be born to her kind, or perhaps to those who made her hate that prior fact. She tore the headband wrapped around her eyes away revealing the milk white eyes with just a tinge of gray in the middle where the pupil should have been, she looked directly at Poly'loyi but it was far obvious her eyes saw nothing.

"We use the force to see, I had to perfect that, to see everything around me, every trick, every prank, every bully who tried to make my life miserable. Thats how I was chosen." Quickly she tied the headband back over turning to continue down the hall.
