I was watching a video and the guitarist used his right hand to hold a lower note and used his left hand to tap the higher notes.

So I think it might be easier for anybody having trouble with the intro of TtFatF if you use your right hand to hold the green note down, Elbow strum the red note, and use your left hand to hit the higher notes.

You won't have to split your finger motions it's all in your left hand (and most of us are used to our left hand playing).

I'm currently not in the position to tap because I don't have a strap. So if somebody could try this and tell me how well it works that would be sweet.

Yes, you can, moron. You CAN hold a lower note. That's how tapping is DONE. You HOLD a lower note as a base note and you TAP on higher notes. Yes, it is a pull-off when going from a higher note to a lower note, but it's a hammer-on when going from a lower note to a higher note. Learn to play REAL guitar before you act like you know everything because you play a plastic one.
