(( TL;DR version: Light briefly explains who the Vaste Lorde are and why they have attacked Riverrun. There are three "doors" or "keys" that can spread Hueco Mundo to this realm and others. He also explains who some of the Defenders of Riverrun are as well as how some of them were turned into Vaste Lorde. ))

Light's smirk faded as his demeanor took a more serious look. His arms would uncross as he took in each question, disregarding that he didn't understand enough German to fully comprehend what Adrian was saying. Light would try his best to inform Adrian just what had happened. And what better way to do it than to simply show him?
The half-angel would use the very light that Adrian had stepped on, harnessing his own powers over the element to gather the surrounding light as well. Both himself and Adrian would be engulfed in an abysmal white light as the half-angel manipulated and crafted the images of each Vaste Lorde that he could recall. Nnoitra, a tall and slim looking man with a wicked grin, Szayzel, who wore glasses along with having pink hair looked smart, Grimmjow, a wild looking man who had a malevolent grin, Aporro Granz, probably the most "normal" looking of the bunch who wielded a trident, Halibel, a dark skinned woman who's gaze looked dull and bored, Barragan, an older, muscular man who looked wise beyond his time, Ulquiorra, his demeanor was calm and his gaze was almost lifeless. The last that Light could recall would be Stark, a mellow man who didn't appear to take anything seriously. Yet he was the most powerful...each Vaste Lorde was dressed in white, almost like Light was.
"These creatures came from another realm. Hueco Mundo...a place where time moves faster than in this realm. Their purpose for attacking Riverrun was because three doors to opening and connecting our realm with theirs were hidden here. Instead of simply taking them or negotiating they gave the defenders of this city a chance to protect this place."
The images of the Vaste Lorde twisted and swirled until Light manifested the images of Rorek, the man with a red scarf, Inferno one cloaked in darkness who had a hateful gaze, David, who's complexion was like Light's since he was also another half-angel and himself standing before a dimensional rift. A dark and ominous portal swallowed the fighters as Light further manipulated the images to show white towers. Each pillar was large enough to house a small village. Each tower looked like oversized skyscrapers. There were no designs of any sort, nor did the vast cold sands of Hueco Mundo make the vision look any more lively.
"Those towers is where each of us fought to progress through their ranks. We had came with others but I haven't heard from them since I first fought with Nnoitra." A brief image of Light and Nnoitra flashed past Adrian. Nnoitra had grown two more arms and was wielding what looked like four giant battle axes! His frame easily overshadowed Light's. "Soon, most of us had fought our way to the top four...Ulquiorria, Halibel, Barragan, and Stark. David was defeated by Ulquiorria and was even turned into another Vaste Lorde. Rorek had gotten through Halibel while Inferno and myself fought Barragan. Before any decisive attacks were dealt, Stark came to fight the three remaining defenders of Riverrun. Stark, Ulquiorria, and the newly recruited David had fought Rorek, Inferno, and me. Stark's brother had even joined in...we all fought as hard as we could but their combined abilities and powers steadily put us at a disadvantage."
"In the end, Rorek had sacrificed himself to try and take out Stark. " A massive explosion erupted before Adrian, the visuals expressing how powerful the blast was. The towers which were seemingly indestructible were demolished right there. Yet Stark was not defeated. Inferno and myself were thrown out into the sands of Hueco Mundo, every fighter looking beaten, bruised, burned, and broken. The image showed Inferno leaving an unconscious Light behind as he stormed off on his own to challenge Stark and Ulquiorra alone. Everything went dark as the natural scenery returned. Adrian would still be standing away from the roof and facing the castle as the light faded.
"I was spared my life for some reason. I woke up back here in Riverrun but...to my surprise 10 years had passed. What felt like hours in Hueco Mundo was probably years passing here. I thought I was the only one left....but I recently discovered Rorek had been revived. Another comrade of ours, Takehitsu has come to aid us as well. I was able to meet up with new warriros just in time for the Vaste Lorde to re-appear and take the three "doors"." Light showed a shining glowing cube in front of Adrian. Not even Light knew what it truly looked like.
"Inferno...he was also turned into a Vaste Lorde. I fought him in hopes to bring him back to our side but neither of us could gain an advantage over the other. My friend Takehitsu and Khuul fought with Halibel and Aporro over there" Light pointed to where the old arena used to be. Now there was only a large crater, cooled lava and damaged buildings. "The Vaste Lorde were successful in obtaining the first "door". A few other Vaste Lorde came and obtained the others as the new defenders of Riverrun tried to fight them off. In the end they had all slipped back to Hueco Mundo. I had discussed matters with Takehitsu and was on my way to regroup with the other fighters. We came up with a plan...and then you showed up. I wasn't sure if you were a threat to the city or not. Now I'm asking you if you want to join up with us...."
