Even more selfish than Claudius in Hamlet, as he watched his wife drink the poison cup, in Victor Frankenstein.
Everything was all about him, never did he once think about the creature's words "I will be with you on your wedding night," and think that it wouldn't relate to hmself.
As Justine was being tried for William's death Victior thought what a terrible burden this monster has put on him. Never standing up saying, I created the being that did this crime. You have the wrong culprit.
The list goes on and on.

One of the most selfish characters ever thought up in Literature is Victor Frakenstein. The guy is worse than King Claudius from Hamlet. The whokle book he's complaining about how much the monster is giving him problems and how he's not happy anymore.
