Prologue
There was no place as chaotic as I'eyan during the years of the war. It was not a war for freedom or even peace. It was simply war and no one was spared the costs. Parents were taken from their children and children taken from parents. To think that though this all ended over twenty years ago, neither the Terra tribe nor the Skeya nomads wished to end the war or settle their differences.
What surprises most is the fact that the Terra tribe, who live in the forests of northern I'eyan, is a race only inhabited by females while the Skeya, the cave dwellers, are only males.
The Terra have elegant appearances and every single one bears ruby eyes, tanned skin, and dazzling blue hair. Though each Terra looks very much alike, each choose a unique hairstyle to stay as an individual. You may question how the Terra reproduce if all are female. To put it simply, a Terra's hairstyle is the key to her future. If other Terra are very taken by her choice, then chances are she will be allowed by the Great Tree of Life to receive a seed that will shelter inside of her, allowing another Terra to be born. But if the Terra are disapproving of a hairstyle, she will be scorned for the rest of her life. Compared to the Skeya, Terra value intelligence to ensure survival. Despite that they may seem harmless, if angered, a Terra can take a feral lion down in one hit. They are truly a menacing beauty.
On the other, a Skeya can be a brute who can easily slaughter a group of thirty men. Armed men. Though there are only male Skeya, they can reproduce kidnapping a Terra and drugging her by using a special herb called the Somnare plant. This places the Terra in a sleeping like state that allows a Skeya to mate and place his genes in her. If the child is born female, then the Skeya will kill the baby and continuously try again. After achieving in producing a son, the Skeya will keep the child and eliminate the Terra who endured labor and produced the baby to ensure his son is diverse from other Skeya offspring. It should be noted that few Skeya mate each year because of the decisions as to who will mate made by the council of Skeya who lead the others.
It would be an understatement to say that the Skeya are ruthless. They have dark ebony eyes and hair as dark as the night that helps them adapt and hide well in the caves they inhabit. While the Terra uses their hair to identify each other, Skeya are born with incomparable markings on their face and arms.
Even though the war between the Skeya and Terra ended not so long ago, the continent of I'eyan has forgotten what struggles both sides went through.
A large factor that caused the Terra-Skeya War to end began with a Terra named Lia. I personally never had the chance to meet her, so keep in mind that I'm retelling this story with information in mediocre tomes containing vague details of I'eyan's history and statements from Lia's Mother, Miasha, and other Terra who lived in Lia's village at the time. I learned that she was a stranger to tradition compared to the other Terra. Lia was young understandably, but even so she never cared about her hairstyle or even the privilege to bring a Terra into the world. No. All ever Lia considered was the world outside the forest in which she lived in.
I'll tell you now that Lia eventually was able to leave her forest in secrecy and experience what was truly going on from outside the safety of the forest. I believe that if Lia became hesitant about sneaking away, she would have never met a Skeya by the name of Odin and change the course of the war. Odin and Lia did fall in love, but sadly their story is nothing short of a tragedy. From struggling with their kin's dismay and attempts to have a child without either the Skeya or Terra interfering with their customs, Lia and Odin went through so much. They died unjustly and for Lia and Odin's sake I want to relay before you, the truth. In reality though it will take more then just a few short paragraphs. But even so, it may take even longer then a lengthy novel to do so. Nonetheless I will stay true to Lia and Odin's tale. No detail shall be left unwritten and no matter how excruciating the truth, it will be printed and left uncensored.
Please enjoy this tale, yet ponder on its happenings as you do so.

Ahhh.....I know it's short. But I hope you all enjoy it anyway. You all may have noticed that I've used the names Lia and Odin from my fanction of New Beginnings. Truthfully I did not care at that moment but I did have Lia and Odin for this story first because I wasn't so serious about it until a friend mentioned that I should seriously consider publishing this particular draft after they read it. So once again I'm hoping for some comments on how you all think it would be better.
*Random Question* Who do you think is more strict, the Terra or the Skeya. How so?
