Well, my younger brother came up with this idea, but his Gaia account has expired due to not using it for a really long time, and he doesn't really care to use Gaia anymore, so I decided to post it myself.

This is just a fun activity we can try to pass the time. The idea is to create team designs with special themes. Specifically, zodiac signs. For example:

Scorpio

Drapion
Moltres
Raikou
Noctowl
Gengar
Kabutops

The pokemon chosen are due to various aspects of Scorpio, or animals associated with it, such as the scorpion, phoenix, tiger, or the water element, or it's connection with death, or that Scorpios are supposed to have hypnotic looking eyes. Some are supposed to follow personality aspects of the theme.

When making your own team designs, feel free to put as much or as little detail as possible, such as filling in which moves and items you'd choose, which personality traits, what your EVs and IVs would be, and the gender of the pokemon and/or trainer.

The idea is less to create a powerful team, although you are certainly welcome to try to do that as well, and more to create a team that strongly fits the theme you chose, a specific Zodiac sign. If you wish, you could also chose a Chinese Zodiac sign, although since those already have animals very closely tied it might limit the team designs, it could still be interesting to have, say, and all dragon team for year of the dragon, with move sets designed around the theme of the personality and other aspects associated with year of the dragon. Another example for a way this theme stuff could work is for Gemini choosing 'twinned' pokemon, like doduo and wheezing, or creating a team designed for double-battle, or both at once.

You are free to create as many zodiac theme teams as you want, again, these are just for fun. I doubt I'll have time to post any more in this thread any time soon, due to limits of internet access, but I'll try to do so in order to comment on the teams, and contribute some more complete ones of my own design. Of course using these teams in battle is all right too!
