Sometimes I think the body is just a container for the soul. When the rapture happens will our soul leave our body and go to heaven or will our whole body go? The more I read the more it seems our soul will go to heaven leaving our bodies behind. sweatdrop

I'm not realy sure if a soul exists. it may have to do with not believing in an afterlife so i guess i can't help you.

good question.
my understanding was that when ppl die their souls leave their body and go to heaven or hell.
but I recently heard my brother talking about it and he said that our souls stay in our body until the rapture.
even still I am not sure if bodies will be taken at the rapture.
the only verse that sticks in my head is "the dead in christ shall rise".

Im going to research is ASAP, which may be a while...

wait the dead in christ wasn't thatr a phrase to describe those who were not followers? so all sorts of evil zombies.

Read 1 Corinthians 15: 35-49

I think the "dead in Christ" refers to those that died before Christ and lived lives honoring God. They would have been in upper-sheol or "Abraham's Bosom" to await the rapture.
Either that, or both that and all Christians that have "died."
