 Well, since the generations after the 1st keep evolving to catch up with the 1st, it makes the 1st generation one lose value. I don't like that.
I would use evolving items in my outfits, but I wouldn't try to use them just because they're evolving items.

Wow, I always thought that the 1st generation was always the most expensive because when it starts evolving, it won't be called "1st" anymore.

It's always known as the 1st generation. They start out being the most expensive until the other generations reach full growth.
