Like most of you, I tend to go mainly melee and magic, but I usually like to cover most of my bases. I'll take an archer to use up my bows and for any ballistas, magic users of each type to cunter other magic users, heavy/fast/flying melee to fill out the team. Basically, just keeping my part of the weapon triangles safe.

Archers don't need defense if they never rarely get hit. heart Love my archers~ (Shinon & Rolf, whooop)
I'm just a sucker for archers, so even if I couldn't make them awesome, they would still play a big role in my army. talk2hand
