(( You can use whichever char you want Vashy. <3 I'm just starting with a general area that works for Molan's sorta location. It's set about 4-5 days after he hatched so still fairly wobbly and clueless. YAY! ))
CLICK!
Once again the fawn's teeth came down on nothing as the small bug flew away into the trees, obviously sensing the minor danger to be had from the young kyunru. Molan simply stared up cluelessly at the thing vanished, mouth slightly falling agape as he leaned further backing as if the thing had flown behind him. Which resulted in the kyunru flopping over backwards in a round of chime, chings, and jingles from the various bells upon him.
Rolling over to right himself after a moment of starring up at the patches of pale blue peaking inbetween the thick boughs of the trees he shifted himself to his feet again, taking a few more unstable steps off in a new direction.
To be honest he'd been searching for something to eat. Afterall, he'd been eating whatever smelled good the last few days, so of course searching for the newest treat was often on his mind. Something sweet hopefully. A few sniffs brought him little hope towards a similar scent and he turned again, meandering in what seemed like a new direction. In truth he'd simple doubled back the way he'd come, retracing the steps he'd only moment before trod over while chasing the bug. A minute or two of walking and he turned again, this time slightly to the side and shifted a few paces before slopping to the ground, a yawn escaping him. Was this worth the snack? He felt as if he'd been at it for an eternity, when in reality little to no time had passed, and here he was worn out with nothing for it.
A low grumble of a noise escaped him as he flicked his tail, quietly placated with the soft jingle of the bell as he did so. Ah, but perhaps a new direction would fix that...in a bit though. Another low yawn as the fawn let his head shift to the ground, eyelids drooping slightly. He didn't intend to sleep, but a rest was a rest. He'd best enjoy it as best he could. Besides... the sounds were lovely when he sat still, quiet chirps and the rustle of the wind in the trees. It was so pleasant. How could he not wish to listen?

((sounds good! I'll...play with atreyu, in that case--I've been playing him quite a bit lately, so I'm in his mindset XD. <3))
Wriggling his way through a particularly leafy patch of underbrush, Atreyu winced as one of his many tangled skeins of hair caught on a branch, tugging uncomfortably at his scalp.
Teenager he might be, but he'd not lost his thirst for adventure--or his dream of one day being a knight in truth...or as close as he could get to being such, given that the whole practice wasn't all that prevalent, nowadays.
Bracing himself, he inhaled, then pulled hard, attempting to tear the delicate golden strands free from their leafy prison. It worked, too--however, the force of the tug also sent the teen-kyunru tumbling, landing him nearly on top of young Molan, in a most undignified sprawl.

A few little tweets and chirps, a rustle there, and that moment of silence where all was right with the large world he'd wondered into. The fawn sighed happily head drooping a bit as he took it all in, the faint chime of the bells as his chin tried to make it's way down to his pawns. So peaceful, so perfect, so-
Snap! Rustle!
One eye opened suddenly at the nearby noise as the sigh of a colorful thing came tumbling in his direction. Instinctively Molan's head pulled back as far as it could in response to the thing rushing at him even as it stopped just barely in front of him. So close to taking him out was the thing that he'd inhaled as both eyes shut once more for impact. Though after a moment he tentatively opened an eye again, mouth falling slightly open as he dared to breath again, panting from the adrenaline that had shot into his system at the sudden fright.
Scrambling slightly to his feet, rear end still on the ground as he managed to fumble his paws enough to scoot a few feet back, eyes now wide as saucers with his ears pinned back against his head he simply stared at the ungraceful image before him, huffing and puffing for air the entire time. W-what was going on? He was... the peace was... what had happened in such a short time? What was this? It... it was similar to him, but bigger and... and...
The fawn slumped slightly, wings falling to brush the ground as he let out a law whine too confused to even try to make further sense of what was going on.

Blinking, Atreyu scrabbled to his feet, shoving pale golden skeins out of his eyes before finally turning his attention to the fawn, who was whining in a most piteous manner.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you..." looking somewhat abashed, Atreyu looked around curiously--it seemed a little strange, for one so small to be wandering, without even a sign of an older kyunru to watch after them.
He took a step towards Molan, then stopped again, waiting to see his reaction--there was no need to panic him unduly, after all.
"Are you lost?" he asked a moment later, curiosity, and burgeoning concern apparent in his tone.

(( Dood... so I was re-reading my last post. I think I was tired or something... XD so many messups with typing similar, but still wrong, words. Ahaha... ))
The thing was moving now, moving up to it's full height, which was certainly greater than his own, and seeming far different from himself suddenly. Any similarities seemed to escape him now, seeing as there was obvious reason to fear another living thing. Or so he thought anyway. It had come crashing into his peaceful world most in a most uncalled for way afterall.
And then it was speaking, in that oh so foreign tongue he'd heard once or twice, but knew nothing of. Something that piled onto the reasons he should be wary of such a being. Not that anyone using such words had been unkind, it was simply a matter of fearing the unknown. Even if most everything around him was unknown at the present time. This was the 'newest' mystery in his opinion, and thus the current subject of wariness.
The fawn remained frozen where he sat, ears pinned down against his head, somewhat cowering with his belly to the ground as he watched the thing before him a moment, seeming to try to edge further into the solid bed of grass as the thing dared a move closer. It wasn't as if he'd bolt into the woods should something come near, as that would not only be a feat to be seen with his unease with running still, but also far more effort than the fawn wanted or even could dare to expend needlessly. It wasn't in his best interest to end up starved for food and confused to his location. Not that he wasn't already technically lost?
Which brought the second sentence that, once more, escaped him to action. Though at least at that point, as the creature hadn't moved further, he'd calmed enough to mimic a word of it, as he often did with this odd language. It was fun to test the feel of the noises afterall. "Loooosssttt?" He was drawn out partially for his own enjoyment than anything, one ear twitching up a bit at the sound of his own far more squeaky voice trying it compared to the other kyunru's. What a curiosity the noises were, and so different than the bells. Not all unpleasant though. "Lost... lost lost?" He continued to say it as the other had, which in the end added the thought that it was a question. Afterall, he knew not why it was said, it was simply a mimicry of the others sound.
At this point it seemed the fawn had to some extent forgotten why he was so worried, as both ears had left the low, fearful position to add to the now curious expression on his face as he tested out the sound, watching the other with a new form of interest as well. What other noises did he make?

Looking somewhat affronted when the fawn mimicked his speech, Atreyu couldn't help but wonder..was he being mocked? Opening his mouth to retort with something to the effect that there was no need to be rude, he shut his mouth again, narrowing his eyes slightly as he observed the other, far smaller kyunru's expression closely. Either the fawn was a very good faker, or he really wasn't intending to poke fun.
Crouching so that he appeared smaller himself, belly nearly touching the ground, Atreyu crept a bit closer still, hesitating when he only a couple of feet away, and dropping lightly to the ground, head tilted slightly to the side. He was completely at a loss. How did anyone deal with infants?! Trying again, he spoke a bit slower this time. "Where's your mommy?" he asked, a strand of hair falling in front of his eyes as he did so.

If only the elder kyunru had realized, Molan hadn't the interest in mocking anyone. It was too much trouble with no proper payout for the work. Thus, the fawn simply did as he felt was the best bet. Which merely meant wandering, napping, and finding something to chew on at this point. And apparently trying to figure out speech from the few creatures that dared to try and converse with him. That went about as well as it was going at the moment.
Though much of the above had been forgotten, as there was this curious thing, slinking along toward him before plopping down,it's head cocked to one side before it spoke. Once more failing to get the point across to the young child, who honestly wouldn't even have had an answer had he understood the words. Afterall, no one had been in the cave when he'd hatched.
"Mmmm.... w-where?" His tail lightly swept back and forth a few times, almost playfully as it became apparent this must have been some sort of game to him, the bells chiming quietly as they were drug about in the process. "Mommy where. Y-yur?" The jibberish made... about as much sense to him ad anyone else, but at least he was able to enjoy it while watching the other creature. Likely Atreyu didn't appreciate it in the least.
