Tokyo Cast:
Miwa Izanami -- Twelve-year-old daughter of the local crime boss, Yakuza Godfather Miwa Yasuo. Restricted socially from most of her peers, and pushed away from her father's side, Izanami has already grown to be something of a bitter youngster despite her young years. In an effort to gain some of her father's precious attention, she's become well known among the house staff as "The Brat," rather by any form of title. Despite temper tantrums and an often superior attitude, Izanami surprisingly self sufficient and tends to take care of her own affairs for the most part. A recent attack on her father's life has caused further restrictions to be placed on his only daughter, and the key to inheriting all that he's created. Though she resents what her father has done to her already limited freedom, Izanami has decided that she's finally had enough of being treated like a second class citizen merely for being female.
Takeuchi Daijiro -- Seventeen-year-old first-born son to Miwa Yasuo's right hand man, Takeuchi was the first and only candidate to replace Miwa's old body guards, Sato. Born to the Yakuza, as was Izanami, Takeuchi has long since known that his life would be spent in service to the organization. He did not, however, have any plans to be made the personal guard dog of The Brat! Now years of extra study in school, and preparation of a business degree are for naught as he's shoved on pain of death to a life-long position at Izanami's side. To make matter's worse, The Brat's sulky attitude and selfish ways grate on Takeuchi's nerves, leaving him to wonder if life in this sort of hell is really worth the trouble.
Miwa Yasuo -- The youngest Yakuza boss in generations, Miwa took the "throne" of Tokyo by the time he was nineteen, after five years of brutal in-fighting had split the city's underworld asunder. For ten years afterward, the city laid contentedly beneath his hand until an assassination of his beloved wife Reika. With her death, the city once more exploded into violence and terror that took Miwa three years to calm, as well as to tame his own shattered heart. In its wake, he left a canyon between himself and his young daughter, Izanami. A recent lapse in his security caught Miwa and several of his highest ranking officers in a massive explosion that killed a good number of his party. His second managed to survive and hold off the disaster until Miwa rose from his hospital bed, but the burns covering Miwa's body has made a full recovery impossible. Now he rules with a tentative grasp, having to rely on the trustworthiness of his closest allies in order to survive the plentiful assassination attempts.
Matsumoto Ayako -- Ayako's father was an African-American military officer whom liked Japan so much that he defected to it. A year later, he ran back to the Americas, leaving a somewhat rabid girlfriend behind. Nine months later, Ayako was born. Though single mothers are becoming increasingly common in Japan, there is still a vast social stigma against it, much less to the single mother of a half-breed b*****d. Due to this, Ayako has dealt with being highly "different" her entire life, and has come to accept it with a cheery smile and bounce in her step. She tries not to take anyone's attitude to heart, often turning their insults into a joke and having fun with the stereotype her American blood entitles her to. Loud and eye-catching seems to be her very philosophy on life and extends to every thing she does, from eating to sleeping, to studying. Her major loves are wasabi, dancing to anything, and eye-blinding, garish colours.
Takeuchi Ren -- Daijiro's father, mentor, and the second-hand man of Miwa Yasuo. Ren was Yasuo's friend throughout childhood who followed him in
