"N-No.. no feeding schedual." She gave a small laugh, covering her mouth and flushing as she realized that might seem rude. "Th-They're alive like y-you and I once they're born... they h-have personalities." She regarded David and the serious, intense way he looked at the Fel Essence, the very hint of a knowing smile playing across her lips.
"Y-You know... I used t-to refer to him," she motioned lightly towards Roux, "a-as my 'Raeven Project' i-i-in the journal we're asked to k-keep monitoring and detailing d-d-daily life a-and discoveries." Her head inclined gently, voice softening gently. "But... quickly h-he became just Roux." She hoped he'd understand the subtle message she was trying to relay to him.
Chloe glanced down at her watch, giving a small start at the time. "Oh... w-well." She sighed, anxiety returning to her as she began fretting with the hem of her labcoat. "I w-was hoping I c-could meet Ms. Nao... b-but I suppose n-non family visiting hours are over." His mention of danger at night only caused the anxiety in her to escalate. It was dangerous. She knew first hand how dangerous the world could be. "I h-have Roux with m-m-me s-so... I sh-should be fine..." Though she didn't sound too sure of herself.
Roux, overhearing the conversation, finally turned, an expression of annoyance on his face. He floated over, reaching down to touch Chloe's shoulder. "I'm here."
She glanced up, still anxious but... "That's right..." She smiled.

"Personalities?" David bit his lower lip as he pronounced this word with a childlike curiosity. Following Chloe's lead though, he relaxed once again and chuckled softly, almost like a whisper. "'Raevan Project', huh? I wonder if it really is a nature versus nurture type of event, this personality development. Oh. I don't mean to tease, or anything, just..curious."
He paused, trying to collect and organize his numerous jumbles of thoughts and scattered questions. That's when the mention of Namini arose.
"My sister would most definitely have appreciated your visit and once I tell her about it and the answers you have given me this evening, I bet she'll be ecstatic and want to thank you greatly. She lives to please," he laughed. As Roux intervened, though, David felt himself tense once again, as if he was attempting to impress or at least avoid irritating the first Raevan he encountered.
"I was just saying on Namini's behalf as well. Have a safe trip home, and - rising from his chair, he bowed courteously- thank you once again for coming to see me. I truly hope we can encounter each other once again."
He flashed Chloe and Roux a purely appreciative grin.
