my friend thinks that Cinema Bizarre is Goth, on the other hand wikipedia says "They formed a band, incorporating elements of glam rock, gothic rock, new wave, and visual kei." who is correct?

Visual kei isn't a genre, so I'd doubt Wikipedia on this.
Musically, Cinema Strange draw from goth-rock, deathrock and darkwave alike. I'm not as familiar with their work as others may be, but in my experience, they've drawn more heavily from the latter two genres.

I generally just call Cinema Strange deathrock, though they have also experimented with other genres, for sure - their "Quatorze Examples..." album is certainly heavier on instrumental darkwave than earlier albums like their self-titled and "Astonished Eyes of the Evening".

He's talking about Cinema Bizarre (the shitty German Tokio Hotel clones), not Cinema Strange
