so i may or may not be working for the Man this summer.
i've been hoping to get a job with parks and rec because i would get to be outside and not have to be all customer servicey. i sent in an application last week and hadn't heard anything back. i figured they'd found somebody who was actually qualified (i'm so not qualified to do anything emo ), but my parents were all "call back. i know it's awkward, but do it."
finally i got around to it. i called, was all "hey, i faxed in an application and was wondering if you'd gotten it, call me back plzkthx." i hang up. my mom smiles, and is all "you forgot to leave your ******** i call again and leave my number in what i hoped was a not awkward way.
i hate phones. hate hate hate. D:<
anywho, today my phone does it's little "you missed a call btw, i didn't feel like ringing when they wanted to talk to you lol."
i call back, and it's parks and rec. the lady is all "hey, you still interested in working for us?"
OMG OMG OMG YES
"you'll be cleaning outhouses and picking up trash and it's a long commute, you still want to?"
OMG OMG OMG YES
"okay, interview tomorrow."
OMG OMG OMG YAY.
tl;dr: i has a job interview that i'm super stoked about. i might actually get a real job this summer yay.

it's better than bagging groceries or babysitting. xD
but anyway, the interview went awesomely, my bosses are super cool, and i'm hired. :D
but i guess there are a bunch of volunteers this year, so they'll probably be cleaning outhouses instead of me yay.
i start thursday. i'm so pumped. once you're hired, you're pretty much guaranteed a job unless you get fired, so i don't have to job hunt again next summer. this makes me happy, because job hunting is annoying and awkward.

it pays 9 dollars an hour, which is more than minimum wage so i'm happy.
the worst part of the job is going to be spending half my paycheck on gas. the campgrounds are about 45 minutes away from where i live, and gas is $4.22 and climbing. emo

Sibeiko o_o( ) You're getting paid more than I do, after working about 3 years at a place...  If I worked at Payless for 3 years she would be getting paid more then I would too. Corporations are so stingy with their money
I get paid $9 at Buttheads.

I WANT TO NOT HAVE TO JOB HUNT. I totally am filling out 304830 applications to try and get a job before people in school get out and need jobs.. ;-;

woo for being a state employee. they pay pretty good. xD
i got my uniform today. the pants are old school and come up to like my boobs. gonk
but i get one of those official looking patches on my sleeve so it's okay.
