I was looking through Sonic's page on wikipedia and then I found this:

Sonic The Hedgehog is a film based on the highly successful SEGA game franchise. The film is set for release in 2010.

Not sure if someone put that there as a hoax or not, but that would be very cool if it is real.

That article's marked for deletion right now, which is unsurprising.

This particular rumour surfaces every year or so, usually driven by the same person. Check out this old topic in our forum for details.

It would be a nice thought, but to be honest I don't think Sonic makes Sega enough money to bother contemplating a movie.

Honestly, they'd probably screw up on the movie story-wise. Unless of course they got some awesome writers.... Besides that, Warnersister's right. It's been a floating rumor and nothing more.

Believe it or not, i saw a preview of the movie in question a while back. it was tikal talking (in japanese) and you saw people of station square and angel island falling. (it was pretty short). I didn't see and characters though. and i Can't find where it is for the life of me!! scream i'm gonna keep looking to refind it. 3nodding

eh, all video game movies end up sucking, and yes I include Resident Evil in that. I don't include Final Fantasy because Final Fantasy is barely a game at all.
