not unless you want to make your ps3 a pop top like a ps1
altho you can play import games on a ps3 since its not region locked the thing that i am wondering about is if you can play online import games on the ps3...mainly wondering about the server issue :/

It shouldn't matter.
ALSO there is a way to play import PSone games on the PS3. I just remembered. Install Linux and then download an emultor.
