Before I screw myself over by saying something offensive, I want to say this: I agree with everyone, even if somethings contradict. Anyway, I sadly wasn't exposed to Leroux till about...lets see...june to...ok, about 5-ish months. Then I found it on my shelf, and began to read. I never called him Erik before, and never will call him Eric. Somehow, that resparked my Gaia-sanity, and i rejoined the site after my hiatius. My first guild was this, and I've never left it, and never will no matter what. With that said, I bring you this:
True, he was not supposed to be "smexy, sexy, teh hottz" whatever. But, after all, it is how we picture the characters in our minds. I always picture the Persian as a really tall guy whos hat falls off when he comes through doors. But I digress. As to the Gerik thing, then why do we (some of us, at least) call Michael Crawford Merik?
What annoyed me about the ALW movie was several things. Emmy's mouth in TOM. She looks like she's not singing, but screaming laughter. Where'd she light the candle from? (and where did her stockings go?) Her mouth doesn't move in "Why have you brought me here?" for a few seconds, then she must have realized to start lip-syncing. Not to bash anyone, but I personally dislike the ALW musical now. I prefer the OLC, even if it is just a soundtrack.
